Tick Species (Acari: Ixodoidea) Distribution, Seasonality and Host Associations in Romania By integrating the literature data with those derived from personal investigations, the authors present the distribution of the 27 tick species (25 ixodids and 2 argasids) identified up to now in Romania, as well as some aspects regarding their abundance, seasonality and host associations. Altogether, 1439 tick records (of which 256, covering 25 counties, belong to the authors themselves) were georeferenced using EpiMap (an ArcView®-compatible GIS) from CDC's EpiInfo™ software package (v. 3.5.1), on a level 2 LAU (Local Administrative Units) shapefile. The resultant distribution maps and the data on seasonality and host associations may prove to be a useful reference system for subsequent studies on different tick species' distribution, ecology and biology, as well as a predictive tool for human and veterinary medicine, bearing in mind the vectorial role that ticks play in some dangerous diseases for man and livestock.

This study focused on many kinds of ticks distributed in Iraq and on various kinds of domestic and wild animals, and the distribution of ticks affected by the environment such as temperature and humidity, and to identify the diseases caused by ticks where the vertebrates are exposed to many diseases and inflammatory and allergic reactions as a result of a tick bite containing toxins in the saliva of the tick, which causes paralysis and lead to death, authors were able to review most of the local and international studies related to Tick's diagnosis (classification), especially tick species distribution in Iraq. Aim of this study was to create a database and put an important reference for all researchers and authors who plan to study this field more comprehensively in the future.

Even though tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) has been a notifiable disease in Croatia since 2007, there are no or only limited data available on the occurring tick species in the endemic areas, on the prevalence of TBE virus (TBEV) in ticks, its distribution in Croatia, and its genetic characteristics. Reporting of human cases also is very scarce. The Central European subtype of virus (TBEV-EU) appears to be present in Croatia

Gynandromorphism is a condition in which an organism simultaneously exhibits male and female morphological characteristics. In Colombia, the taxon Amblyomma cajennense is represented by the species Amblyomma patinoi and Amblyomma mixtum. In September of 2014, in the Colombian Orinoco region, adult ticks were collected and determined from natural infections in bovines and equines. A gynandromorph was described from a natural infestation on a bovine, and morphologically classified as A. mixtum. This is the first literature report of a gynandromorph of A. mixtum, and the first description of a gynandromorph for a tick species in Colombia.

The article presents an assessment of the stability of introduced cherry varieties to spring return frosts in 2020 in the conditions of the sharply continental climate of the Astrakhan region. As a result of unfavorable weather conditions, the total damage score of all varieties was 2-5 points. Almost all the studied varieties showed an insufficient level of resistance to recurrent frosts.
