Introduction. The article considers the problem of the development of future teachers’ digital competences in creating foreign language multimedia tutorials and presents the results of the corresponding research conducted by the authors. In the context of the digitalisation of education, the foreign language multimedia tutorials represent an effective means of organising and integrating authentic audio-visual materials into the learning process. Nevertheless, FL (foreign language) teachers today face the problem of the lack of the competences, including digital ones, necessary for the development of effective multimedia tutorials, which cannot be created without the awareness of the methodological foundations of their designing, mastering of the relevant software tools and obtaining the corresponding level of digital skills of their usage.Aim. The current research is aimed to identify the effectiveness of the training course for future teachers in the development of foreign language multimedia tutorials based on authentic audio-visual materials. The training course was conducted at Academician E. A. Buketov Karaganda University among 30 graduate students.Methodology and research methods. The research work was based on the determination of four levels of training in the field of development of multimedia foreign language tutorials: recognition-based, reproductive (adaptive), heuristic, creative. Results and scientific novelty. The developed training course proved its effectiveness in increasing the level of development of digital competences of future FL teachers in the field of designing multimedia educational resources. The research results demonstrated that 80 % of the participants achieved the heuristic level in the field of the development of digital educational resources, namely multimedia tutorials, getting the required 60 % and more points (according to Bespalko V. P.) in the final assessment of academic achievement.Practical significance. The corresponding authoring experimental training course contributes to solving the problem of the development of the future FL teachers’ competences when creating multimedia educational resources, and to the problem of skills formation when using appropriate software to create multimedia educational resources.

Collaboration between universities, industries and other professional societies enables students to enter interdisciplinary learning environments through joint research. Stakeholders can attain their objectives through collaboration and a range of competitive advantages in own business sector. From an economic perspective, the fruits of research and development such as intelligent property are motivators for collaboration. From an educational perspective, this three party collaboration provides opportunities for situated learning that link theoretical studies with practical research work. This chapter discusses the contributions to the learning environment from collaboration between education, research and industry, and their impact on the professional growth of engineering graduates in the field of Material Science. Through self-reflection on experience, author argued that by combining theoretical knowledge from university education and research with practical skills and experience gained from the industry, students develop individual empowerment and bring future business advantages to the industries where they would later work.

This chapter reports the results of a theoretical and practical research work on simulation, both as a teaching strategy that creates a dynamic and experiential situation which enables participants to take on roles in relation to the variables to be tested or modified, and the learning content that the students need to acquire. With reference to the training and educational needs of contemporary society, the theoretical premises underlying simulation are considered and examined in relation to recent findings regarding the process of learning and teaching and the acquisition of knowledge, as well as some recent research results. On the basis of the findings, it appears necessary to reflect on the synergy triggered through simulation. It particularly emphasized the role of simulation in the integration of different skills and types of knowledge, leading to the overcoming of the compartmentalization of knowledge and its fragmentation into discrete subjects or disciplines. Questions remain open regarding the role of ICT in the whole simulation process.

This article analyzes the application advantages, application core and technical nature of big data technology. The author studies the specific application of big data technology in the allocation of topics, pre-class research, data collection and processing, data statistical analysis, and data rational application. This article studies how to do well in survey method training, how to improve the data management system, how to strengthen the curriculum construction of colleges and universities, and how to actively learn from successful cases. The author’s purpose is to enhance the application value of big data technology and improve the reliability of the practical survey results of ideological and political courses.

We consider an optional training course “Ecology of the Russian language”, which may have its place in the educational programme of students from 10–11 grade. The course “Ecology of the Russian language” contains not only information about the concept of “norm”, “normalization” of the language phenomena intended for preparation of students from of the 11th grade for final examination in the Russian language in the form of the Unified State Exam, but also serve for deepening of knowledge of pupils in the field of such scientific linguistic direction as linguoecology which is understood as ecology of language and language ecology. We prove that the training course “Ecology of the Russian language” introduce students to the research work, which allows them to acquire the necessary linguistic erudition and educational research skills in one of the most vulnerable areas of the language: internet communication, media, language design sites, communication in system games, etc. Project can be in two stages: collective research and individual. In the case of collective development of the theoretical and methodological basis of educational research the emphasis is on certain provisions that are interpreted by students during the course of classes.

Materials of practical research work on thermal destruction of paper waste were presented. The main task was The comprehensive study of the aspects of carbon formation on the basis of analytical studies was considered, as well as using a specially built laboratory installation — a waste graphitizer. Research has been carried out on the effectivity of application of pyrolysis gases of the process as fuel to maintain the temperatures of the thermal destruction reaction. Practical examples have proved the possibility and expediency of using the solid residue of the reaction as a component in various fields of production. Bibl. 10, Fig. 1, Tab. 3.

The following paper does not pretend to be a complete and exhaustive survey of all the theoretical and experimental work which has been done up to the present on the subject of control beyond the stall. It is confined to main questions and to a report of the practical research work upon which my colleagues and I have been engaged during the last two years. In doing so I am well aware of the incompleteness of our research work and its methods, which aimed more at finding ad hoc than general solutions. The outlook of the engineer is different from that of the learned scientist. Not for him is the tranquil and contemplative atmosphere that surrounds purely scientific research work. If he breaks new ground he has neither time nor means to strive for a thorough, complete and general treatment of the particular problem he encounters. His work is limited by financial considerations; hampered by a rigid system of Works Orders; and by the lesser interest in so-called “unproductive” work which characterises industrial institutions. In short, from his point of view, the solution is infinitely more important than the theory or the methods by which it is obtained. A practical solution often presents itself automatically if the physical conditions of a particular problem are properly recognised, even if the degree of accuracy does not satisfy the rigid requirements of pure scientific research.

Approximately 60,000 tons per day of waste from taconite mining, tailing, are added to the west arm of Lake Superior at Silver Bay. Tailings contain nearly the same amount of quartz and amphibole asbestos, cummingtonite and actinolite in fibrous form. Cummingtonite fibres from 0.01μm in length have been found in the water supply for Minnesota municipalities. The purpose of the research work was to develop a method for asbestos fibre counts and identification in water and apply it for the enumeration of fibres in water samples collected(a) at various stations in Lake Superior at two depth: lm and at the bottom.(b) from various rivers in Lake Superior Drainage Basin.
