Ovarian torsion is among the gynecological life-threatening conditions that may require urgent surgical intervention among the appearance of clinical manifestations. The most common clinical manifestations include severe abdominal pain, nausea extending to vomiting. The ovarian torsion is not limited to children only. However, it can also occur in adult females, either pregnant or non-pregnant. The etiology of the disease tends to be related to the weakness of the uterine ligaments or malpositioning of it due to known and unknown causes. Despite that, the surgical intervention is needed to release the torsion. Sometimes, it can lead to adverse events or side effects such as decreased blood flow to the surrounding structures. Which by role may lead to unpleasant complications and clinical manifestations of hemorrhage and shock. In this article, we reviewed the topic of ovarian torsion from different aspects, including the definition, causes, clinical evaluation, and clinical management and its common complications.

Boutonniere deformities are a common injury to the extensor mechanism of the finger. The deformity results in fixed contraction in the medial finger joint, and is severely debilitating to functionality. Due to the complexity of the mechanism, surgical procedures are difficult, expensive, and often unsuccessful. However, nonsurgical treatment of the deformity has not changed in many years and remains time consuming and mostly ineffective. The goal of this work is to develop an improved mechanical brace, to correct the deformity, by utilizing unconventional materials such as Nitinol and proven therapeutic techniques such as heat and motion to increase blood flow to the damaged tissue.

Hydrotherapy non-pharmacological treatment for hypertension during pregnancy needs to be developed because it is safe for mother and fetus. Hydrotherapy soaking feet using warm water can increase vasodilation and increase blood flow, thereby lowering blood pressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of foot soaking with warm water to reduce hypertension in pregnant women. The pre-experimental research design was one group pretest posttest, which measured blood pressure before and after warm water therapy was given to pregnant women with hypertension for three days. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling method and the number was 15 people. Data analysis was performed by using paired sample T-Test. Results: Giving hydrotherapy soaking feet using warm water reduced systolic and diastolic blood pressure in pregnant women (p = 0.000 <0.05). Hydrotherapy is effective in reducing systolic blood pressure by 13-16 mmHg and diastolic by 8-9 mmHg. Conclusion: Hydrotherapy soaking feet using warm water is effective in reducing hypertension of pregnant women who go to dr. Jerry Kp. Kulon waterfall. Suggestion: Apply the foot soaking method with warm water as a non-pharmacological method of hypertension in pregnant women.

Treatment efficacy in cancer patients using systemically applied cytostatic drugs is decreased by cytotoxic side effects, which limits the use of efficient dosages. Degradable starch microspheres (DSM) are used to apply drugs into blood vessels which supply the target organ leading to drug accumulation in the target organ by reduction of the blood flow. The present investigations show that DSM is a very effective embolization material leading to effective and enhanced accumulation of 5-FU within the liver tumor tissue of experimental induced liver cancer in rats. By using intravital microscopy, a rapid deceleration of the blood flow into the target organ is observed immediately after application of DSM. The microspheres are stepwise degraded in the direction of the systemic blood flow and are totally dissolved after 25 minutes. These stepwise processes leave the degraded material during the degradation process within the vessels leading to temporally reciprocal blood flow via some of the side-arms of the major blood vessels. By using DMS in transarterial chemoembolization (TACE), severe adverse side effects like postembolization syndrome are rarely observed when compared to other embolization materials. The complete degradation of DSM causes only a short-lasting temporary vascular occlusion, which allows a repeat application of DSM in TACE.

Aging causes a decrease in renal blood flow velocity and clearance values related to renal filtration function. A decrease in kidney filtration function results in a decrease in the ability of drug elimination so that the drug and its metabolites tend to accumulate in the blood. The dose of certain antibiotics must be adjusted to the patient's kidney function. Clinical estimates of kidney filtration function are expressed in terms of creatinine clearance (CrCl). This study aims to determine the percentage of suitability of the dose and interval of antibiotic administration with the CrCl value of elderly patients and to see description of the side effects arising from the administration of antibiotics. This research was observational with data retrospective retrieval of medical records. The subjects of the study were elderly patients who were hospitalized in the ward ward in dr. Moewardi Solo Hospital in the period January - May 2019 , ≥ 60 years aged with a diagnosis of Pneumonia, Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), Cellulitis and sepsis with complete medical record data. The antibiotics evaluated are all antibiotics given to the patient while being treated. The results showed the suitability of the dose and interval of antibiotic administration with the CrCl value of elderly patients hospitalized in the disease ward in RSUD Dr. Moewardi Solo for the period January-May 2019 was 63.35%, the incidence of side effects arising from the administration of antibiotics was nausea and vomiting (10 patients ) and diarrhea (4 patients).
