Boutonniere deformities are a common injury to the extensor mechanism of the finger. The deformity results in fixed contraction in the medial finger joint, and is severely debilitating to functionality. Due to the complexity of the mechanism, surgical procedures are difficult, expensive, and often unsuccessful. However, nonsurgical treatment of the deformity has not changed in many years and remains time consuming and mostly ineffective. The goal of this work is to develop an improved mechanical brace, to correct the deformity, by utilizing unconventional materials such as Nitinol and proven therapeutic techniques such as heat and motion to increase blood flow to the damaged tissue.

Introduction. The outbreak of a new coronavirus infection has become a challenge for the global health system. The COVID-19 infection is directly related to various disorders of the cardiovascular system, including the microcirculatory bed, caused by thrombotic events and deteriorations of blood rheology. Aims. The paper reports on the results of a study of Doppler sonographic parameters changes in patients with a novel coronavirus infection over the past 6 months. Materials and methods. We assessed the oral mucosa microcirculation in three segments using the high-frequency ultrasound dopple-rography. Results. We recorded the linear and volumetric blood flow rates and the Gosling and Purselo indexes in the course of our work. When comparing the obtained average statistical parameters of blood flow velocity, the linear and volumetric blood flow rates in patients of both groups were found to be lain in the same range and the mean values of Vas, Vam, Qas were equal. The mean values of the Purselo resistance index were closer to 1,0 in patients with COVID-19, and the values of the Gosling pulsation index (PI) were on average 53.3 % higher than in the control group. Conclusion. We evaluated the screening capabilities and potential of high-frequency ultrasound dopplerography for use in patients of different age groups and different somatic status.

Hydrotherapy non-pharmacological treatment for hypertension during pregnancy needs to be developed because it is safe for mother and fetus. Hydrotherapy soaking feet using warm water can increase vasodilation and increase blood flow, thereby lowering blood pressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of foot soaking with warm water to reduce hypertension in pregnant women. The pre-experimental research design was one group pretest posttest, which measured blood pressure before and after warm water therapy was given to pregnant women with hypertension for three days. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling method and the number was 15 people. Data analysis was performed by using paired sample T-Test. Results: Giving hydrotherapy soaking feet using warm water reduced systolic and diastolic blood pressure in pregnant women (p = 0.000 <0.05). Hydrotherapy is effective in reducing systolic blood pressure by 13-16 mmHg and diastolic by 8-9 mmHg. Conclusion: Hydrotherapy soaking feet using warm water is effective in reducing hypertension of pregnant women who go to dr. Jerry Kp. Kulon waterfall. Suggestion: Apply the foot soaking method with warm water as a non-pharmacological method of hypertension in pregnant women.

Local CBF (LCBF) in the rat was determined using [14C]iodoantipyrine autoradiography. Adenosine and 5'-( N-ethyl)carboxamidoadenosine in a 15-min infusion had no significant effect on LCBF, although there was a tendency to increase. N6-Cyclohexyladenosine (CHA) and 2-chloroadenosine (2-CADO) significantly decreased LCBF in a number of brain regions. Laser-Doppler experiments using CHA confirmed that CHA decreased CBF and that this change was monophasic. Further experiments involving the use of [14C]2-deoxyglucose autoradiography showed that the unexpected vascular effects of CHA and 2-CADO were not a consequence of a decreased metabolic demand. The available data do not allow us to identify the mechanism of action by which the known vasodilators CHA and 2-CADO were able to cause a vasoconstriction and a decrease in LCBF.

The main goals of acute and long-term skincare are the protection and improvement of skin health and integrity. Skincare involves several procedures that help maintain the skin's integrity, improve its appearance, and alleviate skin problems. Proper blood flow is in dire need for the skin to absorb vital ingredients. There are many conventional treatments to help increase blood flow and recently it was discovered that connecting the with the electrical charges of the Earth, or “Grounding” can promote healthy blood flow in the facial region. Additionally, such effects of grounding do not seem limited to the facial region but are rather systemic, essential and are often quickly observable. Grounding also seems to reduce secondary injury, collateral sprouting, and nerve sensitization. In grounded patients, an increase in blood flow was clearly seen when compared directly to ungrounded subjects. The results of documented studies explain that even short contact with the Earth helps to restore blood flow regulation suggesting enhanced skin tissue repair and improved skin appearance with possible implications for overall health.

Possible role of Nitric oxide (NO) in terms formation of basal blood flow level in oral cavity tissue is studied using the method of hydrogen electrochemical generation in anesthetized rats.It was found that NO plays a leading role in oral mucosa and submandibular gland basal blood flow regulation and does not have any significant effect on blood circulation of the lower snout tissue.
