Purpose Drawing from DeLone and McLean’s Theory of Information System Success, this study aims to develop a theoretical model of electronic word of mouth (eWOM) for the homestay lodging. Design/methodology/approach The study examines the relationship between information quality, system quality and electronic service quality towards user’s satisfaction and eWOM intentions. Data were collected from homestay lodgers in Malaysia. Findings Results indicate that the effects of information quality and e-service quality on satisfaction are of significance, in turn affects eWOM intention. System quality, however, is not a driver of satisfaction. Research limitations/implications This study contains three limitations that provide direction for future studies. The details are provided. Practical implications The results provide a direction to the service providers at improving their services for customers’ satisfaction and loyalty. Originality/value The study offers fresh new insights on eWOM intentions from a homestay lodging perspective in Malaysia.

Abstract Background The Health Information System (HIS) is a set of computerized tools for the collection, storage, management, and transmission of health data. The role of such tools in supporting the modernization of health systems, improving access to quality healthcare, and reducing costs in developing countries is unquestionable, but their implementation faces several challenges. In Gabon, a unique national electronic HIS has been launched. It will connect healthcare institutions and providers at all levels in the whole country. Objective This study aims to explore and identify the factors influencing healthcare providers’ perceptions of the national electronic HIS in Gabon. Methods A 44-item questionnaire based on the Information System Success Model (ISSM) was administered between February and April 2018 among 2,600 healthcare providers across the country. The questions assessed the different aspects of the HIS that could influence its perceived impact on a 5-level Likert scale (from fully agree to totally disagree). The reliability and construct validity of the questionnaire were checked using Cronbach alpha and congeneric reliability coefficients. A logistic regression was used to identify the factors influencing healthcare providers’ perceptions of the system. Results A total of 2,327 questionnaires were completed (i.e. 89.5% response rate). The logistic regression identified five elements that significantly influenced perceived system impact: System Quality (Odds Ratio–OR=1.70), Information Quality (OR=1.69), Actual Use (OR=1.41), Support Quality (OR=1.37), and Useful Functions (OR=1.14). The model explained 30% of the variance in providers’ perception that the national HIS leads to positive impacts. Discussion The results show that healthcare providers’ perceptions regarding the positive impact of the national HIS in Gabon are influenced by their previous use of an HIS, the scope of their usage, and the quality of the system, information, and support provided to users. These results could inform the development of strategies to ensure adequate change of management and user experience for the implementation of the national HIS in Gabon, and eventually in other low resource environments. This study tests the model of information system success proposed by DeLone and McLean using data that was collected in three selected districts of Tanzania. A survey was administered to elicit factors for e-government adoption in Tanzania using the DeLone and McLean model of information system success. The results of multiple linear regressions indicate that system quality significantly influences e-government adoption in Tanzania. In light of these findings, researchers should conduct a similar study using other different models of e-government adoption in order to identify more factors that influence e-government adoption in Tanzania. Policy makers and e-government project teams should consider system quality as a barrier to e-government adoption and hence find ways of ensuring easy-to-use and easy-to-learn systems in order to facilitate e-government adoption within the country.

Similar to any other governments, Indonesia government has the role of protecting the security of its citizens via the established police unit. However, the executive unit is often unable to provide response in timely manner due to the huge data size. For the reason, an executive information system (EIS) is established in order to provide necessary information to leverage the decision making process. This work intends to establish and evaluate the executive information system and its support to facilitate the efforts to fight crimes in Indonesia territory. The EIS prototype is established and is evaluated on the basis of the six information system success factors where the required data are collected by means of questionnaire. The results suggest that the factors of system quality, information quality, easy-of-use, user satisfaction, and individual and organization impacts are very significant.
