Every activity in day-to-day life is required the need of mechanized automation for ensuring the security. The biometrics security system provides the automatic recognition of human by overcoming the traditional recognition methods like Password, Personal Identification Number and ID cards etc. The face recognition is a wide research with many applications. In the proposed work face recognition is carried out using DTCWT (Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform) integrated with predominant QFT (Quick Fourier Transform) and speech recognition is carried out using MFCC (Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients) algorithm. The distance formula is used for matching the test features and database features of the face and speech images. Performance variables such as EER, FRR, FAR and TSR are evaluated for person recognition

Face Recognition is a currently developing technology with multiple real- life applications. The goal of this Thesis is to develop a complete Face Recognition system. The system uses Convolutional Neural Networks in order to extract relevant facial features. These features allow to compare faces between them in an efficient way. The system can be trained to recognize a set of people, and to learn in an on-line way, by integrating the new people. Face recognition system is one of the biometric information process its applicability is easier and working range is larger than others .The face recognition is live acquired images without any application field in mind .process utilized in the system are White Balance correction ,skin like region segmentation .facial feature extraction and face image extraction on a face Candidate .The face one of the easiest ways to distinguish the individual identify each other .Face recognition is a personal identification system that uses personal characteristics of a person to identify the person’s identify. The face is one of the easiest ways to differentiate the individual identity of each other. Face recognition is a personal identification system that uses personal characteristics or facial features of a person to identify the person's identity. The most used human face recognition process is face detection ,where this procedure takes place very quickly in humans, except under certain conditions where the object is located at close distance. The purpose of this project is to develop face recognition based automated student attendance system. In order to achieve high quality performance, the test images and training images of this proposed approach are limited to frontal and upright facial images that consist of a single face only. The test images and training images have to be captured by using the same device to ensure no quality difference. In addition, the students have to register in the database to be recognized. The enrolment can be done on the spot through the user-friendly interface.

Face recognition is a challenging task for the researches. It is very useful for personal verification and recognition and also it is very difficult to implement due to all different situation that a human face can be found. This system makes use of the face recognition approach for the computerized attendance marking of students or employees in the room environment without lectures intervention or the employee. This system is very efficient and requires very less maintenance compared to the traditional methods. Among existing methods PCA is the most efficient technique. In this project Holistic based approach is adapted. The system is implemented using MATLAB and provides high accuracy.

Face detection is the key point in automatic face recognition system. This paper introduces the face detection algorithm with a cascade of Adaboost classifiers and how to configure OpenCV in MCVS. Using OpenCV realized the face detection. And a detailed analysis of the face detection results is presented. Through experiment, we found that the method used in this article has a high accuracy rate and better real-time.

Now a days one of the critical factors that affects the recognition performance of any face recognition system is partial occlusion. The paper addresses face recognition in the presence of sunglasses and scarf occlusion. The face recognition approach that we proposed, detects the face region that is not occluded and then uses this region to obtain the face recognition. To segment the occluded and non-occluded parts, adaptive Fuzzy C-Means Clustering is used and for recognition Minimum Cost Sub-Block Matching Distance(MCSBMD) are used. The input face image is divided in to number of sub blocks and each block is checked if occlusion present or not and only from non-occluded blocks MWLBP features are extracted and are used for classification. Experiment results shows our method is giving promising results when compared to the other conventional techniques.

The Face recognition and image or video recognition are popular research topics in biometric technology. Real-time face recognition is an exciting field and a rapidly evolving issue. Key component analysis (PCA) may be a statistical technique collectively called correlational analysis . The goal of PCA is to scale back the massive amount of knowledge storage to the dimensions of the functional space required to render the face recognition system. The wide one-dimensional pixel vector generated from the two-dimensional image of the face and therefore the basic elements of the spatial function are designed for face recognition using PCA. this is often the projection of your own space. Sufficient space is decided by the brand. specialise in the eigenvectors of the covariance matrix of the fingerprint image collection. i'm building a camera-based real-time face recognition system and installing an algorithm. Use OpenCV, Haar Cascade, Eigen face, Fisher Face, LBPH and Python for program development.

Driving a vehicle or a car has become tedious job nowadays due to heavy traffic so focus on driving is utmost important. This makes a scope for automation in Automobiles in minimizing human intervention in controlling the dashboard functions such as Headlamps, Indicators, Power window, Wiper System, and to make it possible this is a small effort from this paper to make driving distraction free using Voice controlled dashboard. and system proposed in this paper works on speech commands from the user (Driver or Passenger). As Speech Recognition system acts Human machine Interface (HMI) in this system hence this system makes use of Speaker recognition and Speech recognition for recognizing the command and recognize whether the command is coming from authenticated user(Driver or Passenger). System performs Feature Extraction and extracts speech features such Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients(MFCC),Power Spectral Density(PSD),Pitch, Spectrogram. Then further for Feature matching system uses Vector Quantization Linde Buzo Gray(VQLBG) algorithm. This algorithm makes use of Euclidean distance for calculating the distance between test feature and codebook feature. Then based on speech command recognized controller (Raspberry Pi-3b) activates the device driver for motor, Solenoid valve depending on function. This system is mainly aimed to work in low noise environment as most speech recognition systems suffer when noise is introduced. When it comes to speech recognition acoustics of the room matters a lot as recognition rate differs depending on acoustics. when several testing and simulation trials were taken for testing, system has speech recognition rate of 76.13%. This system encourages Automation of vehicle dashboard and hence making driving Distraction Free.

In this paper, a robust and efficient face recognition system based on luminance distribution by using maximum likelihood estimation is proposed. The distribution of luminance components of the face region is acquired and applied to maximum likelihood test for face matching. The experimental results showed that the proposed method has a high recognition rate and requires less computation time.

Face recognition using thermal imaging has the main advantage of being less affected by lighting conditions compared to images in the visible spectrum. However, there are factors such as the process of human thermoregulation that cause variations in the surface temperature of the face. These variations cause recognition systems to lose effectiveness. In particular, alcohol intake causes changes in the surface temperature of the face. It is of high relevance to identify not only if a person is drunk but also their identity. In this paper, we present a technique for face recognition based on thermal face images of drunk people. For the experiments, the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso-Drunk Thermal Face database (PUCV-DTF) was used. The recognition system was carried out by using local binary patterns (LBPs). The LBP features were obtained from the bioheat model from thermal image representation and a fusion of thermal images and a vascular network extracted from the same image. The feature vector for each image is formed by the concatenation of the LBP histogram of the thermogram with an anisotropic filter and the fused image, respectively. The proposed technique has an average percentage of 99.63% in the Rank-10 cumulative classification; this performance is superior compared to using LBP in thermal images that do not use the bioheat model.

In this paper, the effect of mixture tying on a second-order 2D Hidden Markov Model (HMM) is studied as applied to the face recognition problem. While tying HMM parameters is a well-known solution in the case of insufficient training data that leads to nonrobust estimation, it is used here to improve the overall performance in the small model case where the resolution in the observation space is the main problem. The fully-tied-mixture 2D HMM-based face recognition system is applied to the facial database of AT&T and the facial database of Georgia Institute of Technology. The performance of the proposed 2D HMM tied-mixture system is studied and the expected improvement is confirmed.
