Since Snger in 1889 drew attention to his 'shaped tumor-chorio-epithelioma, [characterized by extreme malignancy and some of its inherent features, the question of this disease has become the subject of numerous reports and heated debates. However, to this day, the genesis of this disease remains unclear. It is only known that chorio-epithelioma develops in women mainly at the childbearing age and is closely dependent on pregnancy, in particular on pregnancy with a rapid drift. "Without pregnancy," says Veit, "there is no chorio-epithelioma." However, cases of this tumor have been described that are unrelated to pregnancy and even to the female genital sphere. So Volkmann, Di1man, Vlasov, Sch1agenhaufeg, Vasiliev observed chorio-epithelioma in men. Most authors consider such formations to have a teratoid-embryoid character. Many authors have described a similar disease, referring it to sarcomas (Gottschalk), then to carcinomas, even before the start, to the end, and to the end. At the same time, all the attention of researchers was paid to the pathological and anatomical side of this disease. The whole mass of names assigned to this tumor belongs to this time: deciduoma malignum, placentoma, deciduo-sarcoma.

Bromley’s Family Law has an enduring reputation as the definitive text on the subject. Its hallmark qualities of clarity, authority, comprehensiveness and readability have been relied upon by generations of readers. The text presents a broad treatment of the key issues relating to adult and child law. Each chapter provides an up-to-date critical discussion of the current legislative and case law position (including European Court of Human Rights’ decisions), proposals for reform and issues of current concern. Particular attention is also paid to the increasingly significant international dimension of family law, with a new chapter on this area covering the 1996 Hague Convention on the Protection of Children and reflecting the UK’s departure from the EU. This edition has been updated to provide up-to-date coverage on heterosexual civil partnerships, religious marriage (non)-recognition, the 2020 Domestic Abuse Bill, forced marriage protection orders, female genital mutilation protection orders, stalking protection orders, the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020, online divorce, transgender parenthood, surrogacy, parental orders, child arrangement orders, radicalisation, and voluminous case law across all topics.

The legal definition of torture is not limited to pain and suffering inflicted during interrogation or as punishment. Other practices, like domestic violence and female genital mutilation, have gradually been incorporated into the definition of torture and other ill-treatment. The absolute prohibition of torture extends to practices justified on grounds of “medical necessity” or “therapeutic purpose,” but which nevertheless inflict pain crossing the requisite threshold of severity, including the denial of pain relief and legally available abortions, or practices affecting persons with psychosocial disabilities or suffering from drug addiction. This chapter illustrates the gray areas where health care and the prohibited infliction of pain collide, discussing the rapidly evolving legal definition of torture and concepts like legal capacity, consent, and medical necessity. It recognizes that international law on the subject is far from settled, especially with regard to standards enacted by the recent Convention on the Rights of Persons With Disabilities.

Base on engineering application need, the subject introduce microcapsule that contains adhesive into cementituous composite for realizing the self-healing characteristics of cracked concrete. The technique has good industry feasibility, process operability, and reproducibility of self-healing characteristic. It is can resolve partial problems that other current self-healing methods are facing.

Vulvovaginal candidosis (VVC) is a frequently occurring infection of the lower female genital tract, mostly affecting immuno-competent women at childbearing age. Candida albicans is the most prevalent pathogenic yeast—apart from other non-albicans species—related to this fungal infection. Different virulence factors of C. albicans have been identified, which increase the risk of developing VVC. To initiate treatment and positively influence the disease course, fast and reliable diagnosis is crucial. In this narrative review, we cover the existing state of understanding of the epidemiology, pathogenesis and diagnosis of VVC. However, treatment recommendations should follow current guidelines.

This study uses the relational content analysis method and theories of intertextuality, intersectionality, and womanism to explore the continuity of womanist ethos in select novels of the African-American novelist Alice Walker. It attempts to explore Walker’s use of womanism as an intertextual trope in The Third Life of Grange Copeland (1970), Meridian (1976), The Color Purple (1982), The Temple of My Familiar (1989) and Possessing the Secret of Joy (1992); Walker’s portrayal of Celie-Shug as a perfect womanist couple in Color Purple and their reappearance in Temple as mother trees; foremothers as role models in Third Life and Temple; Walker’s telling and retelling of Tashi’s life-long suffering from female genital mutilation (FGM) in Color Purple, Temple, and Possessing – the subject of this paper.

ObjectivesTo discover if healthcare professionals working within an ED are able to make a diagnosis of female genital mutilation (FGM) in those patients who have previously undergone the procedure and report it as per UK law.DesignA retrospective analysis of patients’ notes who were assigned an FGM code during the period of May 2015 to August 2016.SettingSingle-centre, large UK major trauma centre offering a tertiary FGM clinic.ParticipantsAny woman coded during the study period as having undergone FGM.Primary outcomeNumber of FGM cases identified by the ED.Secondary outcomesMean age, presenting complaint, discharge diagnosis, genitourinary exam and defibulation status.Results34 patients were identified as having undergone FGM, 19 had previously attended ED and none had their FGM identified during their ED attendance. The age range of those identified was 23 to 40 years. None had undergone defibulation.ConclusionThis study demonstrates that the identification of FGM victims by an ED is very poor, and more work needs to be done to increase awareness of the subject by front-line staff.

The question of therapy for the above suffering of the female genital area has long been occupied by gynecologists, but since the publication of the new operational manual, almost simultaneously proposed by both Dhrssen and Mackenrodt (1892), it received a new impetus and became the subject of widespread discussion and controversy. unfortunately, only not always objective. The debate in the Berlin Gynecological Society and the discussion of the issue of interest to us at the congresses in Geneva and Frankfurt am Main (1896) also had the same imprint in the corresponding publications in the gynecological press. But not only the therapy of the said suffering, and its very essence, was subjected to a lively exchange of views, at which opinions were expressed sharply contradicting each other.
