Strategic management of construction systems is a process of making decisions that combine goals setting, determination of long-term milestones and their improvement, determination of activity models, redistribution of external and internal resources of construction organizations to achieve the maximum effects of the life cycle of real property erection and operation [1]. Experts from various industries simultaneously participate in the strategic management of the real property life cycle: engineers, financial industry experts, economists, politicians and other participants in investment and construction activities capable of achieving goals and meeting requirements at all stages of real property erection and operation. A special role is played by indicators of the degree of project risks that arise in the course of external changes and can have a negative impact in the form of possible losses on the final results of project implementation. Risks in one form or another are manifested as changes in financial, technical, organizational and other aspects. Therefore, in the process of construction systems strategic management special attention should be paid to the state of risks.

Cacao plays an important role in the Indonesian economy. One of the business entities engaged in cocoa commodity business activities is the Plea Puli Multipurpose Cooperative (KSU). The low number of cocoa purchases at the KSU Plea Puli is caused by various factors. One of them is competition with other cocoa buyers. Related to efforts to increase cocoa marketing, it is necessary to first know about the cocoa supply chain to the KSU Plea Puli. The purpose of this study is to analyze the cocoa supply chain to the KSU Plea Puli and strategies that can be implemented in increasing cocoa marketing. The study was conducted at KSU Plea Puli in East Nusa Tenggara. The main research instrument is a questionnaire. The determination of respondents to determine the cocoa supply chain to the KSU Plea Puli was conducted on member farmers using the Slovin formula and non-member farmers using quota sampling techniques. The number of respondents in this study were 60 people. The determination of informants to find out the cocoa supply chain to the KSU Plea Puli and the informants determining internal and external strategic factors was done purposively. The results showed that in the cocoa supply chain to the KSU Plea Puli, there were three types of flows managed, namely material, financial and information flows. The parties involved consisted of member farmers and not members and the KSU Plea Puli themselves. In addition, there are various activities carried out such as cocoa production and marketing by farmers and cocoa marketing operations by KSU Plea Puli. The results also show that 12 alternative strategies are possible to support efforts to increase cocoa marketing by increasing the number of purchases. Strategy priority based on the highest-ranking with a score of 5.75 that is giving special authority to managers to carry out cocoa marketing operations. The management is expected to be able to implement the results of the strategic management of cocoa marketing in the KSU Plea Puli with the priority of the strategy being to give special authority to the manager to carry out cocoa marketing operations. The existence of the Commodity Product Processing and Marketing Unit (UPPH) at the KSU Plea Puli needs to be maintained and developed. Farmers are expected to adopt good agricultural practices by implementing PsPSP which consists of frequent harvesting, pruning, sanitation, fertilization and soil, and plant health and pest and disease control. In addition, farmers are also encouraged to always maintain the quality of cocoa beans. Keywords: strategic management, supply chain, cocoa

The desire to avoid the consequences of extreme social and economic situations under capitalism and globalization, including financial relations, encourages the state authorities to use various measures of protection from threats. This has been reflected in the creation of many relevant doctrinal and conceptual documents. The public demand has stimulated the development of risk management theory and security studies. The real science and practice of management to achieve goals in this environment is pragmatically replaced by regulation to prevent border-critical situations. However, no system of scientific knowledge has been obtained in applied scientific research on the security of socio-economic systems, explaining some set of special phenomena and reducing the open natural connections in the field of security, if there were any, to a single unifying principle. The search for such a beginning leads to the task of management. It was not possible to find objective grounds for determination of safety space boundaries (threshold values) of social and economic systems. Applied research methods are not specific to security and risk management issues and are used in management theory. Either maintenance of safety appears a private subtask in a context of the decision of a boundary problem of management of development of system, or at expanded interpretation of safety within the limits of the vital approach, as a desirable condition, actually merges with management problem for achieving the target condition. Artificial separation of the security task from the management task generates an imaginary contradiction between security and development, in the practical aspect leads to substitution of strategic management by security, creation of parallel institutions, and dispersion of resources. It is advisable in the scientific and practical spheres of management of socio-economic systems to concentrate efforts on solving the problems of strategic management of the system development in order to achieve a favorable (desired) future. Security and risk management tasks should be considered as local subtasks of ensuring the integrity of the system under specific impacts.

Abstract Strategic management is an integral part of top management. By formulating the right strategy and its subsequent implementation, a managed organization can attract and retain a comparative advantage. In order to fulfil this expectation, the strategy also has to be supported with relevant findings of performed strategic analyses. The best known and probably the most common of these is a SWOT analysis. In practice, however, the analysis is reduced to mere presentation of influence factors, which does not allow more precise determination of a strategic concept. The content of the article tries to remove this drawback, submitting for public discussion two possible approaches to evaluate the SWOT analysis providing important information for the selection process of an organization's strategic orientation.

In the article, the authors considered the parameters of the strategic management process using the mathematical apparatus of fuzzy sets, which allow us to express the internal state of the enterprise through an interval-linguistic assessment of multidirectional changes in economic indicators. The study conducted in the article is based on an effective approach based on the idea of additive con-volution of selected indicators into a single interval with a linguistic assessment of the result at a time to by V. V. Pankov's method (N & P), which allows us to abandon the subjective determination of the weight of indi-vidual coefficients, since in comparison with the forecast balance sheet developed according to the scenario of strategic sustainable development of an economic entity, we obtain primary reliable data.

The article describes organizational and methodological components of using strategic management within a framework of corporate governance and development. The authors have formed a range of methodological provisions, regarding the choice of a marketing strategy by the corporate enterprise. They identified the main recourse flows within the framework of the used strategies. They also determined the strategic management components, required for providing efficiency of the corporations’ physical resources formation and use. They developed a graphical model for the determination of the corporation’s strategic position on the market. It was proved that a functional strategy involves a close correlation between the management and incorporated ownership relations, manifesting itself in a strategy in the field of finance of the corporation, ensuring corporation industrial stability, effective use of physical resources, the formation of the cash resources funds in the established amount, real property management and caretaking control, etc. The authors offered a methodology for conducting a strategic evaluation of the corporation in the basic market conditions.

It is now possible to determine proper motions of high-velocity objects in such a way as to obtain with some accuracy the velocity vector relevant to the Sun. If a potential field of the Galaxy is assumed, one can compute an actual orbit. A determination of the velocity of the globular clusterωCentauri has recently been completed at Greenwich, and it is found that the orbit is strongly retrograde in the Galaxy. Similar calculations may be made, though with less certainty, in the case of RR Lyrae variable stars.

Using the new reductions of the IUE light curves by Sonneborn et al. (1997) and an extensive set of HST images of SN 1987A we have repeated and improved Panagia et al. (1991) analysis to obtain a better determination of the distance to the supernova. In this way we have derived an absolute size of the ringRabs= (6.23 ± 0.08) x 1017cm and an angular sizeR″ = 808 ± 17 mas, which give a distance to the supernovad(SN1987A) = 51.4 ± 1.2 kpc and a distance modulusm–M(SN1987A) = 18.55 ± 0.05. Allowing for a displacement of SN 1987A position relative to the LMC center, the distance to the barycenter of the Large Magellanic Cloud is also estimated to bed(LMC) = 52.0±1.3 kpc, which corresponds to a distance modulus ofm–M(LMC) = 18.58±0.05.

In South Africa the modern outlook towards time may be said to have started in 1948. Both the two major observatories, The Royal Observatory in Cape Town and the Union Observatory (now known as the Republic Observatory) in Johannesburg had, of course, been involved in the astronomical determination of time almost from their inception, and the Johannesburg Observatory has been responsible for the official time of South Africa since 1908. However the pendulum clocks then in use could not be relied on to provide an accuracy better than about 1/10 second, which was of the same order as that of the astronomical observations. It is doubtful if much use was made of even this limited accuracy outside the two observatories, and although there may – occasionally have been a demand for more accurate time, it was certainly not voiced.
