The article describes the modernization of consumer characteristics, through the selection of the quality indicators nomenclature using cluster analysis, and bringing the complex technical system (CTS) model using the example of civil aviation technology (CAE) to an invariant form. Also, the article uses a methodological apparatus for assessing the degree of product innovation taking into account the total number of product technical characteristics presented by regulatory and design documentation for the products being created. The obtained characteristics were synthesized by translating consumer requirements of the main participants of the civil aviation equipment market segment. Taking into account the opinions of various consumer groups, five clusters were created and the basic structures of the model of a complex technical system were modeled. Applied technological device suitable for solving problems related to structured and classification of valuable technical characteristics with a planning horizon of 10 years various representatives of the company producing different brands of products related to complex technical systems of civil aviation equipment.

This paper describes the selection of the ideal variable inlet concept group by utilising results of aerodynamic investigations, system safety analyses and integration studies. Aerodynamic and functional inlet requirements are explained, and variable inlet concept groups are introduced. The concept evaluation by means of a weighted point rating is presented. The respective concept groups are analysed and evaluated regarding economic, functional and safety requirements. By means of this evaluation, the concept group that adjusts the inlet geometry by rigid segment repositioning is identified as most suitable concept group. The early selection of the most suitable concept group enables more detailed subsequent concept investigations, potentially enabling the technology of variable inlets for future commercial aircraft.

The foundation of this research is that cost is no t the only determining factor in the selection of a specific airline. quality of service and satisfaction of customers are also essential tools for evaluating the customers' preference when the airfares between the airlines are marginal.This research also aims to defi ne best practices in quality prevalent in the domestic civil aviation sector in India and based on the results; suggestions are given to quality improvement dimensions for the Indian Airlines. Quantitative research analysis is carried with structural equation model to draw the conclusions. The quality service practices identified by the study will benefit the domestic airlines to improve their overall customer value and thereby customer loyalty and profitability. The study is confined to only domestic airlines and the data collection was conducted only in Pune.

The research used the Thomas-Kilman Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) (more specifically, TKI-R, the Russian adaptation by N.V. Grishina) psychodiagnostic procedure to assess the behaviour strategy in conflict situations, as well as the Buss-Durkee Inventory to determine the tendency of subjects to various forms of aggressive behaviour. Statistical processing of the findings was done using the Bravais-Pearson correlation coefficient and Pearson’s criterion. Results. At the first stage of the multipurpose experiment 48 student dispatchers were surveyed, at the second stage the total of 603 subjects were surveyed (students of the Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation and the Institute of Philology, Foreign Languages and Media Communications of the Irkutsk State University), i.e. while emphasizing operator professions in order to improve the validity of the experiment the sample was significantly extended to include, among others, students of the humanities. It was found that the results of the Buss-Durkee Inventory have an inverse correlation with the tendency to an adaptation strategy and direct correlation with the tendency to rivalry and collaboration strategies. According to Pearson’s fitting criterion, there are significant differences in the manifestation of such behaviour styles as rivalry and avoidance between pilot and humanities students, while for the samples of males and females the differences are in the manifestation of such behaviour stiles as rivalry, avoidance and compromise. Females are significantly less inclined to rivalry and somewhat more inclined to avoidance and compromise as compared to males. There are also no observable crucial differences between the intercorrelations of the TKI-R results of the first and second stages of the experiment. The authors’ findings were compared with the published results of the survey of the students of the Tuvan State University and Yaroslavl State Medical University, as well as with the results of surveys of athletes and business owners. Conclusions. By generalizing own findings and those set forth in other authors’ publications, we can conclude that uncooperative behaviour of all tested students is dominated by average manifestation of strategies of competing, collaborating, compromising, avoiding and accommodating, which indicates the ability of the subjects of this age for flexible behaviour in conflict situations subject to the specific conditions of interaction. That means that students, unlike the success-seeking business owners, while prioritizing collaboration and compromise in conflict situations, flexibly use other behaviour strategies. This must be taken into consideration when planning measures aimed at improving the reliability of professional psychological selection in commercial aviation. It appears that in view of the above reasons, the application of the TKI-R procedure in the professional psychological selection of aviation specialists is unviable.

This article is to optimize the assembly of the front wing spar of a transport aircraft. Particular attention is paid to reducing the complexity, assembly cycle and other parameters that determine the efficiency of the process. According to experts, the domestic civil aviation fleet today is characterized as obsolete both morally and physically. The most important advantage of new products is the increased resource provided by the use of new materials, new design and technological solutions. One of such solutions is the widespread use of bent profiles from promising aluminum sheet materials. The presence of a cladding layer, a more uniform structure provides an increased resource. An important part of the production process of an aircraft manufacturing enterprise is assembly work, which largely determines the quality of the product. The main ways to increase the efficiency of assembly work, preparation of production, reduce costs is to increase the manufacturability of products, the creation of new means of production, the wider use of mechanization and automation, as well as the selection of optimal technological processes and means of equipping assembly work in technological design.

Abstract Some of the foundations of Heyes’ radical reasoning seem to be based on a fractional selection of available evidence. Using an ethological perspective, we argue against Heyes’ rapid dismissal of innate cognitive instincts. Heyes’ use of fMRI studies of literacy to claim that culture assembles pieces of mental technology seems an example of incorrect reverse inferences and overlap theories pervasive in cognitive neuroscience.

The first question to be answered, in seeking coordinate systems for geodynamics, is: what is geodynamics? The answer is, of course, that geodynamics is that part of geophysics which is concerned with movements of the Earth, as opposed to geostatics which is the physics of the stationary Earth. But as far as we know, there is no stationary Earth – epur sic monere. So geodynamics is actually coextensive with geophysics, and coordinate systems suitable for the one should be suitable for the other. At the present time, there are not many coordinate systems, if any, that can be identified with a static Earth. Certainly the only coordinate of aeronomic (atmospheric) interest is the height, and this is usually either as geodynamic height or as pressure. In oceanology, the most important coordinate is depth, and this, like heights in the atmosphere, is expressed as metric depth from mean sea level, as geodynamic depth, or as pressure. Only for the earth do we find “static” systems in use, ana even here there is real question as to whether the systems are dynamic or static. So it would seem that our answer to the question, of what kind, of coordinate systems are we seeking, must be that we are looking for the same systems as are used in geophysics, and these systems are dynamic in nature already – that is, their definition involvestime.

SummaryA routine has been developed for the processing of the 5820 plates of the survey. The plates are measured on the automatic measuring machine, GALAXY, and the measures are subsequently processed by computer, to edit and then refer them to the SAO catalogue. A start has been made on measuring the plates, but the final selection of stars to be made is still a matter for discussion.
