Planned warning system for locomotive repair has almost exhausted its potential. This was facilitated by the rapid deterioration of the technical condition of the locomotive fleet andinfrastructure for both repair and operation. Rolling stock renewal is almost non-existent, and thereis interest in providing railway services due to rising tariffs and low levels of comfort. On the contrary, some foreign railways consider the planned warning system exhausted, especially in compliance with all requirements for maintenance and repairs, timely modernizationmeasures. But at the same time, the policy of monitoring the technical condition of manufacturers to formthe infrastructure for the organization of repair and modernization of the series of locomotives isgradually developing. The first scientific researches in this direction were devoted to substantiationof strategy of interaction of traditional approaches and those which bring considerable differencesfrom traditional. This is the adoption of a strategy for the distribution of operational and repairfunctions of locomotive enterprises, and when, together with manufacturers, repair plants and depots, the need to transfer repairs to service centers is determined. At the same time, large centers are being formed that provide service services for the regionsof operation, namely, organize the monitoring and audit of the enterprise and ensure the organizationof rolling stock repairs.Without a clear organization of the supply system, the organization of locomotive service, whichrequires the selection of the optimal procurement procedure and stocks. The introduction of a new system of maintenance and restoration of the locomotive fleet on theprinciples of service requires a clear organization of the supply of spare parts for repairinfrastructure. The system considers the solution of the optimization problem of the balance of profits andlosses in the creation of stocks for locomotive service.Assuming that the process demand was mostly random, it is proposed to introduce a targetfunction that takes into account the definition of the law of distribution of demand for spare parts, based on the minimum of the given measurements for their acquisition and storage. With this in mind,it is proposed to create an ideology of «virtual storage» to optimize stocks and their costs.

Missing values are ubiquitous in empirical marketing research. If missing data are not dealt with properly, this can lead to a loss of statistical power and distorted parameter estimates. While traditional approaches for handling missing data (e.g., listwise deletion) are still widely used, researchers can nowadays choose among various advanced techniques such as multiple imputation analysis or full-information maximum likelihood estimation. Due to the available software, using these modern missing data methods does not pose a major obstacle. Still, their application requires a sound understanding of the prerequisites and limitations of these methods as well as a deeper understanding of the processes that have led to missing values in an empirical study. This article is Part 1 and first introduces Rubin’s classical definition of missing data mechanisms and an alternative, variable-based taxonomy, which provides a graphical representation. Secondly, a selection of visualization tools available in different R packages for the description and exploration of missing data structures is presented.

Spare parts management is a critical issue in the industrial field, alongside planning maintenance and logistics activities. For accurate classification in particular, the decision-makers can determine the optimal inventory management strategy. However, problems such as criteria selection, rules explanatory, and learning ability arise when managing thousands of spare parts for modern industry. This paper presents a deep convolutional neural network based on graph (G-DCNN) which will realize multi-criteria classification through image identification based on an explainable hierarchical structure. In the first phase, a hierarchical classification structure is established according to the causal relationship of multiple criteria; in the second phase, nodes are colored according to their criteria level status so that the traditional numerical information can be visible through graph style; in the third phase, the colored structures are transferred into images and processed by structure-modified convolutional neural network, to complete the classification. Finally, the proposed method is applied in a real-world case study to validate its effectiveness, feasibility, and generality. This classification study supplies a good decision support to improve the monitor-focus on critical component and control inventory which will benefit the collaborative maintenance.

In a market economy, it becomes important to improve the organization of enterprise management and, above all, the production process, efficient use of financial, material resources and inventories. Effective management of material resources increases profits and provides the necessary investment. To maintain high profitability and liquidity, the management of current activities of enterprises, in particular inventory management plays a significant role. The categorical apparatus of material resources management at the enterprise is considered, the definition of “material resources” is generalized, the definition of "material resources management" is offered, and also the system of material resources management at the enterprise is considered. In the management of material resources at the enterprise there are 2 approaches – logistics and reengineering. The main tasks of the mechanism of management of material resources of the enterprise of building materials are defined. These are: increasing the efficiency of material resources and choosing cheap sources of funding; introduction of new production, resource-saving technologies; minimization of costs for procurement, production and marketing activities; increasing the interest of employees of all services in the effective performance of their duties; product quality management. The analysis of efficiency of use of material resources at the enterprises of building materials which has shown, that manufacture of production is rather material-intensive is carried out. This is evidenced by the share of material costs in the cost of work, and the value of the utilization factor of materials indicates the economical use of material resources in production. Reserves for improving the efficiency of material resources at construction materials enterprises have been identified. The ways of the most rational use of material resources of construction materials enterprises are offered, in particular it is improvement of a design and technology of manufacturing of products, introduction of more progressive norms of expenses of resources, use of substitute materials, and reduction of losses at stages of transportation, storage and industrial use.
