Purpose: This study aims to investigate the dimension of Work Life Balance with Islamic perspective (WLBIP) approach in the employee of Baitul Maal Wa Tamwil or Islamic Financing Savings and Loan Cooperatives in Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) Province, Indonesia. Methodology: This study is conducted to all managers and employees of Baitul Maal Wa Tamwil in DIY Province. The study is carried out to 28 Baitul Maal Wa Tamwil with the target sample of 200 respondents. The questionnaire returned is from 150 respondents. Findings: WLBIP can be measured with 3 indicators: (1) time balance in Islamic perspective (TBIP); (2) involvement balance in Islamic perspective (IBIP); and (3) satisfaction balance in Islamic perspective (SBIP). Significance: The concept and research regarding WLB with Islamic approach are still not found yet. The results of the study with non-Islamic approach are still inconsistent. This study introduces the concept of WLBIP with 3 dimensions: (1) time balance in Islamic perspective (TBIP); (2) involvement balance in Islamic perspective (IBIP); and (3) satisfaction balance in Islamic perspective (SBIP). This three dimensions use WLB concept approach by considering the balance between the worldlife and the afterlife aspects. Limitations/Implications: The limitations of this study are that the author only examined the employee of financial service company with quantitative approach. Therefore, future studies need to use qualitative approach with wider sample (not only Muslim respondents). The antecedents and consequences of WLBIP also needs to be analyzed further. The theoretical implication is that this study contributes to the enrichment of WLB theory, especially from Islamic perspective, which is called WLBIP. Thus, it can contribute to the literature of Islamic Management and Islamic Organizational Behavior.

Using the Job Demands–Resources (JD–R) Model as a framework, this study aimed to determine the association between job resources, job demands, burnout, work engagement, and work-life balance among teachers in a secondary public school. The researcher employed a quantitative research design through a self-administered survey among teachers in a secondary public school (School X) in Paranaque City, National Capital Region, Philippines using convenience sampling in selecting the participants from School X. Cronbach's Alpha tested the reliability of the data. Bivariate relationships were then explored using Pearson Correlation to determine how significant and to what degree are the relationships among the investigated variables. The results confirmed the following relationships based from the hypothesized JD–R Model: (1) there is a positive association between job demands and burnout; (2) there is a positive association between job resources and work engagement; and (3) there is a negative association between burnout and work-life balance. However, the data from this study revealed that there is no significant association between work engagement and work-life balance. Finally, in predicting work-life balance using burnout and work engagement, only burnout remains the significant regressor. This study contributed to the limited Philippine-based literature explaining how job demands and resources are associated with burnout and work engagement, respectively, and how these mechanisms are integral to the work-life balance of public-school teachers. The study found that work-life balance among public school teachers may improve by primarily managing and reducing the demands of their jobs.

Information technology-business process management (IT-BPM) sector of India employs 3.7 million people including 1.25 million female employees. The flip side of this high absorption rate is an equally fast attrition of employees and more so in females. This alarming number makes it imperative to study the antecedents of high organizational commitment as a consequence of which voluntary turnover diminishes. This research article aims at identifying variables impacting the organizational commitment of female employees. Leader-member exchange (LMX), work-life balance and gender bias have been studied for effect on organizational commitment in IT-BPM sector. Data were collected from female employees of BPM sector through questionnaire survey, and stepwise regression was applied to test the hypotheses. This article gives insight into the management of IT-BPM sector helping them enhance the organizational commitment of its female employees. This research is first of its kind conducted on the female employees of IT-BPM sector of India giving insights on leader-manager exchange, work-life balance and gender bias and its role in improving their organizational commitment.

Human resource departments have to deal with various policies, plans, and programs to help their employees to balance their work and family for success in their lives. The present paper envisioned to study to comprehend work life balance of school teacher of Umargam in Gujarat. The study collected data from 114 school teachers. Data analysis considers statistical techniques to test the hypotheses by ANOVA, T-test, and Pearson Correlation use to analysis relationship between work life balance and job productivity. The research attained a positive correlation between work life balance and job productivity among the school teachers. However, the institution and management of the school be aware that if employees' work life balance affects, it will affect their job productivity.

Human beings don’t have just one drive, but many drives and needs. And to have a sense of wellbeing, these needs need to be met adequately. Work is very important as it gives a lot of meaning in life, but life is bigger than work. When our lives are only about work, the ability to meet other needs goes very low which results in frustration. When human beings get older, they have a sense of some control and mastery over their environment, as they maintain some boundaries and a structure – that they have set apart time for various things in their lives. “But once a person allows the need for work to be met at the expense of other needs, the sense of wellbeing and confidence go away. This research is a study to know about the matriculation school teachers work life balance.

Job satisfaction is a vital factor regarding turnover rates, especially among women. Work life balance today, especially in times of COVID where home and work place have transgressed boundaries is an imperative precursor for the well-being of an individual. A satisfying job well-integrated into life, balances the overall mental and emotional quotient of working women particularly in the current pandemic in which the workplace is posing a new and unlike set of challenges and problems for women. Research suggests that work place problems faced by the Indian women are mostly long working hours, less recognition of work, lack of motivation and stress related issues, but the new normal of working remotely from home now is altogether an unexpected work scenario. With respect to emerging nations, problems of work life balance among women in the education sector are not well researched. Increased women employment has led to a swelling attention from academia and industry on WLB. With greater access to better educational opportunities, increasing number of women are entering the workforce, and shifting from being home-makers to the organized work force, thereby necessitating an urgent need to examine this phenomenon. Carrying on with online classes remotely has become the order of the day, and it is becoming stressful when both school and personal life operate from the same space. The main idea here is to understand challenges during COVID which are being faced by school teachers in Noida delivering content to students from home and their surviving strategies.
