Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by infection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex. Global Tuberculosis Report 2011 stated the incidence of TB cases reached 8.7 million (1.1 million co-infected with HIV) and 990,000 people died because of TB. Twenty five percent of extrapulmonary TB occurs in cervix, which is 0.1 to 0.65% of all TB cases, and 5-24% of TB in urogenital tract. Case: We report the case of a woman, aged 28 years admitted with complaint hematuria since 6 months. With UTI treatment, Patient didn’t get improved. Gynecology examination within normal limit. The results of cervical biopsy were granulomatous chronic inflammation with suppuratif inflammatory process. Patient were diagnose with cervical TB. Patiens also complaint chronic cough with decrease of appetite and night sweating. Chest x-ray showed Lung TB with thickening of upper left pleural. AFB sputum examination with positive result, patient diagnosed with Lung TB. Patient got therapy ATD first chategory and after 2 weeks of therapy patient showed clinical improvement. Conclusion: Cervical TB is more common in women of childbearing age between 20-40 years. In this case, the possibility of Cervical TB occurs because through hematogenous dissemination of pulmonary tuberculosis.

In Ireland, nurse referral of medical ionising radiation has been in practice for 10 years. The chest X-ray is a key investigation for the patient who presents with acute chest pain. For nurses working in the specialty of cardiology, a knowledge of the risk/benefits of the chest X-ray is important for patient care. For the nurse referrer, it is vital to perform in a safe, competent and knowledgeable capacity and, as a cardiology nurse practitioner and referrer of chest X-ray, special consideration must be given to the pregnancy status of all female patients. This article aims to explain the physics of ionising radiation, radiation governance, the principles of X-ray referral and the potential harmful effects on the patient, with a specific focus on nurse referral in women of childbearing age.

The present work investigated the prevalence, spatial distribution, and temporal distribution of tuberculosis (TB) in free-ranging Eurasian badgers (Meles meles) and cattle in Asturias (Atlantic Spain) during a 13-year follow-up. The study objective was to assess the role of badgers as a TB reservoir for cattle and other sympatric wild species in the region. Between 2008 and 2020, 673 badgers (98 trapped and 575 killed in road traffic accidents) in Asturias were necropsied, and their tissue samples were cultured for the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTC) isolation. Serum samples were tested in an in-house indirect P22 ELISA to detect antibodies against the MTC. In parallel, data on MTC isolation and single intradermal tuberculin test results were extracted for cattle that were tested and culled as part of the Spanish National Program for the Eradication of Bovine TB. A total of 27/639 badgers (4.23%) were positive for MTC based on bacterial isolation, while 160/673 badgers (23.77%) were found to be positive with the P22 ELISA. The rate of seropositivity was higher among adult badgers than subadults. Badger TB status was spatially and temporally associated with cattle TB status. Our results cannot determine the direction of possible interspecies transmission, but they are consistent with the idea that the two hosts may exert infection pressure on each other. This study highlights the importance of the wildlife monitoring of infection and disease during epidemiological interventions in order to optimize outcomes.
