Best horticulture management has been practiced to reduce the amount of inorganic fertilizer in connection with net (mosquito net)  for higher production of Indian spinach. Excessive use of chemical fertilizers in agriculture promoted negative effect on the environment and human health in Bangladesh. The experiment was conducted at the Horticulture Farm of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh during the period February to May 2016. Two factor experiments were conducted on nettings: control (N0), Netting (N1) and different fertilizers: control (F0), Vermicompost 10 t/ha (F1), Vermicompost 15 t/ha (F2), 2/3rdof F2+ 1/3rdof F4 (F3), Inorganic fertilizer (F4). Combination of mosquito net and combined of organic and inorganic fertilizers (N1F3) gave the significantly higher growth and yield of Indian spinach compared to other treatment combination. The maximum vine length (77.71 cm), after 45 days after sowing was found from N1F3 which was 72% higher compared to control. The highest yield of Indian spinach was 38.67 t/ha from N1F3 which was 80% higher compared to control. The treatment combination of N1F3 provided maximum leaf numbers per plant, leaf length.

An experiment was conducted at the Horticulture Farm of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh during the period from March 2017 to June 2017 with a view to evaluate the effect of different types of fertilizer and netting on the growth and yield of okra. The experiment consisted of 4 levels of fertilizer following cow dung 15 t/ha (F1), inorganic fertilizer (NPK) (F2), combined application of cow dung (2/3) + inorganic fertilizer (1/3) (F3), control (F4) and 2 levels of mosquito netting (N0 = control with no netting, N1=blue colour Netting). The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 3 replications. Overall, the growth like plant height, leaf length, pod length, pod diameter and pods numbers of okra was found higher from the combined effect of F3N1 which was significantly different from other treatments combination. The lowest growth and yield of okra was found from the treatment combination of F4N0 (control). First flowering were observed in F3N1 at 39 days after planting of okra seeds. The control treatment without net gave the lowest production of okra compared to combination of inorganic fertilizer and cow dung with netting.  In case of fertilizers effect, the highest yield (16.06 t/ha) was found from F3.  Blue colour net gave the highest yield (10.99 t/ha) compared to without net (8.88 t/ha). The highest yield of okra (17.55 t/ha) was found from the combined effect of F3N1 which was 78.52% higher compared to control treatment combination F4N0 (3.77 t/ha). The experiment was conducted in the Dekarhaor of Noagaon village under South Sunamganj Upazila of Sunamganj district during November 2017 to February 2018 to observe the effect of nutrients management on growth and yield of cauliflower hybrids. Two Hybrids namely ShiraGiku (V1) and Rupali (V2), and four combinations of nutrients, viz. (i) recommended rate of N-P-K-S-Zn-B @ 180-80-180-28-4.5-2.1 kg ha-1(F1), (ii) F1 + 25% N-P-K- S-Zn-B of F1 (F2), (iii) F1 – 25% N-P-K-S-Zn-B of F1 (F3), and (iv)  cow dung @ 10 t ha-1 (F4)  was conducted in a factorial randomized complete block design (RCBD) and replicated thrice. Plant height (cm), numbers of leaves plant-1, leaf length (cm) and leaf breadth (cm), and spreading diameter (cm) were collected at 15 days intervals, while the yield data were recorded at harvest. The parameters were significantly varied due to hybrids and fertilizers packages. Higher gross yield (42.52tha-1) was found in Shira Giku and lower (42.12 t ha-1) from Rupali. Higher curd yield of 25.17 t ha-1 was obtained in Shira Giku than Rupali (9.61 t ha-1). The highest gross yield of 44.45 t ha-1 was obtained when the crop was treated with cowdung @ 10 t ha-1 followed by recommended fertilizer rate (F1). The curd yield of 18.19 t ha-1 was obtained with 25% less than recommended fertilizer rate of application (F3). The highest gross yield of 52.93 t ha-1 was obtained in V1F1 combination and the lowest of 30.10t ha-1in V2 F1. Results revealed that the Hybrid ShiraGiku with recommended dose of fertilizer (180-80-180-28-4.5-2.1 kg ha-1N-P-K-S-Zn-B) performed the best in comparison to other treatment combinations. Soil fertility and maximum crop production can only be achieved through proper fertilization. Proper and balanced fertilization have a considerably positive effect on plant growth and yield. Due to continuous use of chemical fertilizers, the organic matter and nutrient content of the soil decreased gradually. Therefore, in modern era, agriculture scientists are now engaged to establish an agricultural system, which can not only lower the production cost, but also conserve the natural resources. Soil, as a source of nutrients, must be protected from various kinds of external factors, especially from the addition of fertilizers in excessive rates. Any degradation in the quality of soil can significantly produce many undesirable changes in the environment and also reduces the overall crop yield. So, the concoction of organic and inorganic fertilization is an alternative and most effective method for sustainable and cost-effective management for maximum crop production, without effecting the environment. The Integrated Nutrient Management provides an excellent opportunity not only for sustainability of the soil, but also enhances the overall crop productivity. The present review study was carried out with the main aim to evaluate the role of combined application of organic and inorganic fertilizers on wheat crop production. The outcome of the study concluded that combined application of both organic and inorganic fertilizers significantly improve the wheat crop production, as compared with the sole application of either organic or inorganic fertilizers.

The use of inorganic fertilizer in agriculture as well as on sweet corn cultivation is quite high. Inorganic fertilizer recommended for sweet corn is  35 kg urea ha-1, 150 kg TSP  ha-1 and 150 kg KCl ha-1. Besides high prices, its difficult to find when needed. To overcome this, an experiment was carried out by utilizing TM plants for reducing urea input. This research was carried out in Air Kuti Village, South Lubuklinggau District I, Lubuklinggau City, South Sumatera Province with an altitude of 110 meters above sea level (ASL), from April to June 2017. The experiment was arranged out in a randomized completely block design (RCBD) factorial 4 x 3 and repeated three times. The first factor was treatment combination of inorganic N fertilizer (urea) and TM plants consisted 4 kinds i.e: 75% urea and 1 TM plant, 50% urea and 2 TM plants, 25% urea and 3 TM plants, and 0% urea and 4 TM plants. The second factor was a frequency of urea application consisted of 3 levels i.e: 1-time application 15 days after planted (15 DAP), 2 times application (15 and 30 DAP), and 3 times application (15, 30 and 45 DAP). The results showed that application of urea fertilizer dosage of 25% recommended (108,75 kg urea ha-1) combinated with 3 stem of TM plants produced the best growth and yield of sweet corn. The frequency of urea application 3 times produced the best growth and yield of sweet corn.

[CABBAGE (Brassica olacea var. capitata) GROWTH AND YIELD AFFECTED BY COMBINATION OF ORGANIC AND INORGANIC FERTILIZER APPLICATIONS]. The use of organic fertilizer increasingly sought by farmers due to the increase in demand for organic products by consumers and also awareness of the sustainability of the land. The use of organic fertilizers in the cultivation alone could improve the soil quality but needs to be balanced with inorganic fertilizers to meet the nutrient adequacy. This study aims to examine the effect of organic and inorganic fertilizers combination on the growth and cabbage yield, and also to determine the most efficient dosage combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers. This research was conducted at the IPB Pasir Sarongge Experimental Station, Cianjur, West Java from November 2020 to February 2021. The study was compiled using RCBD with 4 replications and 7 treatments. The results showed the combination of 0.75 doses of inorganic fertilizer (150 kg/ha of urea, 75 kg/ha SP36, and 75 kg/ha KCl) and 3 tons/ha of organic fertilizer could increase 14.87 to 15.44% plant height and the number of leaves at 12.82 -15.11% compared to the same dose of inorganic fertilizer treatment alone. The combination of 1 dose (200 kg/ha of urea, 100 kg/ha SP36, and 100 kg/ha KCl) inorganic fertilizer application and 2 tonnes/ha of organic fertilizer could increase 50,60% yield/plot and yield/ha cabbage than 1 dose of inorganic fertilizer treatment..

Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) is a novel strategy to achieve sustainable crop production in degraded soils through judicious and balanced plant nutrients utilization. Sole application of chemical fertilizers in crop production causes soil and environmental pollution. The present study was designed to assess the effects of application of organic manures conjointly with chemical fertilizers on growth and yield of okra in acid soil. The experiment was consisted of four treatments viz. T0 [Control], T1 [Recommended dose of chemical fertilizers (RDF)], T2 [Dolomite (D) @ 1t ha-1 + RDF], T3 [Poultry manure (PM) @ 3t ha-1 + RDF], T3 [Cow dung (CD) @ 5t ha-1 + RDF] with six replications in a randomized complete block design. The results indicated that the use of PM with RDF showed better performance in the growth and yield attributes of okra. Compared with others plots, the highest plant height (114.10 cm), fresh weight plant-1 (591.58 g) and dry weight plant-1 (86.73 g) were observed in the PM-treated plot. Similarly, the highest number of fruits plant-1 (20.33) and fruit yield (13.58 t ha-1) were also found in PM-treated plants. Therefore, under acidic soil conditions, organic and inorganic fertilization may have a significant positive impact on the growth and yield of Okra.

<p>This study aims to determine the effect of organic and inorganic fertilizers and cropping systems on P uptake and growth and yield of rice determine the most optimum. The research was conducted in paddy fields in the village of Subdistrict Wotgaleh Sukoharjo Sukoharjo in February 2013 to May 2013 . This research is using RCBD (Randomized Complete Block Design) with two factors . The first factor is the culture system consisting of two levels are conventional systems ( B1 ) and SRI systems ( System of Rice Intensification ) ( B2 ) . The second factor is the balance of organic and inorganic fertilizers ( P ) consisting of five levels are : ( P1 ) 100 % organic fertilizer ( Petroganik : 10 tons / ha ) , ( P2 ) 25 % organic fertilizer ( Petroganik : 2.5 tons / ha ) + 75 % inorganic fertilizer ( Phonska : 225 kg / ha ) + Urea : 150 kg / ha , ( P3 ) 50 % organic fertilizer ( Petroganik : 5 tons / ha ) + 50 % inorganic fertilizer ( Phonska : 150 kg / ha ) + Urea : 100 kg / ha , ( P4 ) 75 % organic fertilizer ( Petroganik : 7.5 tons / ha ) + 25 % inorganic fertilizer ( Phonska : 75 kg / ha ) + Urea : 50 kg / ha , ( P5 ) 100 % inorganic fertilizer ( Phonska : 300 kg / ha ) + Urea : 200 kg / ha . Parameters measured were available P , soil pH ( H2O ) , P network , stover dry weight , P uptake , total tiller number , and dry weight of harvested grain. The results showed that P uptake in conventional cropping systems is higher than the SRI cultivation system . P uptake in conventional cultivation of 0.135 g / clump whereas P uptake in SRI cultivation of 0.074 g / clump . Balance of organic and inorganic fertilizer with the highest P uptake was achieved in 100 % inorganic fertilizer , Phonska : 300 kg / ha + urea : 200 kg / ha which is 0.134 g / clump . The highest weight of dry grain harvest was achieved in the treatment of conventional cultivation system with 25 % organic fertilizer ( 2.5 t / ha Petroganik) and 7575 % inorganic fertilizer ( 225 kg / ha of fertilizer Phonska and 150 kg / ha urea ) that is equal to 12.98 tons / ha.</p>

The experiment was conducted during rabi season 2019-2020 at Agricultural Research Station, On Farm Research Division, Alamnagar, Rangpur to find out the useful effects of organic fertilizer on growth and yield of tomato. The experiment was arranged in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with five treatments in three (03) compacted replicate blocks. The treatments included T1: 100% Recommended Chemical Fertilizer (RCF), T2: 85% CF + 3 tha-1 organic Fertilizer (OF), T3: 85% CF + 1 tha-1 OF, T4: 70% CF + 3 tha-1 OF and T5: 70% CF + 1 tha-1 OF. The highest yield was observed in T2 (50.59 t ha-1) due to more number of fruit plant-1& weight of fruit plant-1 and the lowest was in T5 (35.32 t ha-1). These results may be due the parameters of growth components increased with increasing amount of organic and inorganic fertilizers applied. Combination of organic and inorganic fertilizer treated plots produced higher yield than plots without combination of organic and inorganic fertilizer. The highest gross return (BDT. 607080) was found in T2 treatment and the lowest gross return (BDT. 423840) was recorded from T5. The highest gross margin (BDT. 328520 ha-1) was obtained from T2. The lowest gross margin (Tk. 145280 ha-1) was obtained from T5. Integrated nutrient management (combination of organic and inorganic fertilizer) is the best option for higher tomato production in Bangladesh. Progressive Agriculture 32 (1): 10-16, 2021

A field experiment was conducted at the farmer’s field of Sutiakhali, Mymensingh Sadar Upazilla, Mymensingh, during the period from April, 2009 to March, 2010 to investigate the effect of organic fertilizers along with half chemical fertilizers on the growth, bulb and flower yield of tuberose cv. single. The experiment consisted of four different sources of fertilizers viz., (i) recommended chemical fertilizers @ 400, 300, 300 and 100 kg ha-1 of urea, TSP, MP and gypsum, respectively; (ii) vermicompost @ 5 t ha-1 along with half of chemical fertilizers; (iii) poultry litter @ 20 t ha-1 along with half of chemical fertilizers and (iv) cowdung @ 20 t ha-1 along with half of chemical fertilizers. The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. Results revealed that plant height, leaf number plant-1, leaf length and breadth and number of side shoots plant-1, bulb production plant-1, bulb length, bulb diameter and bulb yield both per plant and per hectare, rachis length, spike length and diameter, number of florets spike-1 and flower yield both per spike and per hectare were greater in organic fertilizers along with half chemical fertilizers than absolute use of chemical fertilizers. The highest bulb and flower yield both per plant and per hectare were recorded in poultry manures followed by cowdung. The bulb and flower yields were higher in poultry manures might be due to increased side shoots number, bulb size and flowers plant-1. Inadequate and nutritionally unbalanced supply of forage results in low productivity of livestock. There is an urgent need of burgeoning forage supply by amalgamating organic and inorganic components in integrated manner.Thereupon, the present investigation was carried out to evaluate the potential of liquid microbial inoculants on growth and yield of forage cowpea.The field experiments were conducted during kharif season (2018) at Punjab Agricultural University, Regional Research Station, Bathinda and Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Punjab respectively. The experiment was laid out in randomized complete block design with a total of eleven treatment combinations of liquid microbial inoculants (Burkholderia seminalis, Burkholderia sp. and Bradyrhizobium sp.) with 75% and 100% RDF and replicated thrice. Results indicated that the treatment T10 (75% RDF + Burkholderia sp. + Burkholderia seminalis) significantly p less then0.05 enhanced vine length (210.47 and 205.33 cm), leaf length (11.77 and 11.53), leaf breadth (8.97 and 9.14 cm) and dry matter yield (40.13 and 38.18 q/ha) at Ludhiana and Bathinda respectively. Moreover, the percentage increase in green fodder yield (q/ha) with T10 treatment over T1 (control) was 13.21% at Ludhiana and 12.50% at Bathinda. Accordingly, it can be concluded that liquid microbial inoculants could play a predominant role in integrated nutrient management of forage cowpea for enhanced productivity.
