<p>Technology and smart devices have become ubiquitous staples in every aspect of human life. Given the rise of computation in everyday life, introducing technology to early childhood students requires exposure to logical thinking and problem-solving skills throughout programming approaches or computational thinking. This research addresses an inquiry into a comprehensive elaboration of early childhood computational thinking development.  A novel programming toy was introduced as an educational tool based on designated themes in accordance with early-childhood education curricula. Five stages were administered to reveal parent and children engagement in robotics activities and later interview children cognitive development from parents' perspective. Children were seen exploring various ways by concentrating and paying attention, doing the given activities, and expressing their excitement and happiness. The notion that children learning from their social network environment highlighted that children involved in the KARIN programming toy's hands-on activities drive children to be more actively engaged in the exercise. It turns out that in addition to parent-student engagement, the use of KARIN Programming Toys helps shed light on how early-childhood students learn while away from their social relations during pandemic.   </p>

Computer programming is becoming an essential skill in the 21st century, and in order to best prepare future generations, the promotion of computational thinking and literacy must begin in early childhood education. Computational thinking can be defined in many ways. The broad definition offered in this chapter is that computational thinking practices refer to techniques applied by humans to express themselves by designing and constructing computation. This chapter claims that one of the fundamental ways in which computational thinking can be supported and augmented is by providing children with opportunities to code and to create their own interactive computational media. Thus, computational literacy will allow children to become producers and not only consumers of digital artifacts and systems.

As coding and computer science become established domains in K-2 education, researchers and educators understand that children are learning more than skills when they learn to code – they are learning a new way of thinking and organizing thought. While these new skills are beneficial to future programming tasks, they also support the development of other crucial skills in early childhood education. This chapter explores the ways that coding supports computational thinking in young children and connects the core concepts of computational thinking to the broader K-2 context.

The aim of this article is describing the Integration-interconnection Paradigm and its implementation in early childhood education, as we know early childhood education is very important in laying the foundation of science, morality and spirituality of children. This integration-interconnection paradigm offers an idea to reduce the tension between the religious sciences and other social sciences. This paradigm affirms that any scientific buildings, both religious science, science can’t stand alone, but require cooperation, mutual correction and interconnectivity, this paradigm also helps people in the face of the complexity of human life.

Abstract. Internet is one of the types of information technology can be utilized to facilitate and improve the quality of human life in various aspects. In the field of education, wide open opportunities the Internet can be used to improve the quality of teachers and quality of teaching and learning process. This study attempted to get an idea about the condition of Internet used by teachers of Early Childhood Education and give solutions that can be used by the community of early childhood educators. The solutions we give are (1) socialize the use of the Internet for early childhood teachers in Indonesia so that they can dig their own needs that can be obtained from the Internet, (2) procure computer for teachers so they will have access to the Internet, and (3) construct a portal that can be used as a community center of early childhood teachers in Indonesia. Keywords: Early Childhood Education, portal, Internet utilization, quality of teachers, quality of teaching and learning process Abstrak.

The relevance of early childhood education and care (ECEC) is widely acknowledged in many countries, the number of ECEC settings is expanding correspondingly. This trend reflects the tremendous learning potential during early childhood. Right from birth and during early childhood a variety of learning processes are initiated that foster agency, self-regulation and development. Even the newborn is an active learner, a competent interaction partner and a problem-solver. In line with a deeper understanding of the mechanisms, principles and conditions of learning, early childhood education relies on pedagogical concepts, approaches and didactic methods that promote early learning and development. ECEC settings for young children stimulate exploration and action in everyday situations, embedded in social relations and interactions with peers and with a skilled and reliable pedagogical professional. The expansion and professionalization of the ECEC sector requires establishing a research infrastructure as well as implementing different research approaches at the micro-, meso- and macro-level of the system of early childhood education.
