This experiment was conducted to evaluate the mineral contents of I. zollingeriana growing with different planting densities. The experiment was conducted in a randomized block design with three different planting densities (8,000 plants per ha, 13,333 plants per ha, and 20,000 plants per ha) and 3 replication. Plant biomass was analyzed for macro and micro mineral contents as well as Ca:P ratio. The results showed that increased planting densities significantly increased (p<0.05) P, Cu, and Cr contents, but decreased Ca and Na contents  had no significant effect  on Mg, K, Mn, Zn and Fe contents. Furthermore, the increased planting densities significantly decreased (p<0.05) uptakes of Ca, K, Mn, and Fe by the plants, but increased (p<0.05) the uptakes of Cu and Cr. Meanwhile, the uptakes of P, K, Na, and Zn were not affected by planting densities. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the planting density of I. zollingeriana should be maintained in 8,000 plants ha-1 to maintain the content and uptake of mineral in forage crops.

Application of organic manures for improvement soil fertility is expected to increase productivity of Indigofera zollingeriana in marginal land agro-ecosystems.The aim of this study was to evaluate the growth response of Indigofera zollingeriana on application of rabbit and biochar fertilizers. This study used a completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 10 replications. The treatments consisted of T0 (chicken manure biofertilizer as control), T1 (biochar), and T2 (biochar + rabbit manure biofertilizer). The variables observed were stem height (cm), number of stalks, and number of leaves. Application of rabbit manure biofertilizer and biochar (T2) gave the highest plant height, number of stalks and leaves Indigofera of 45.68±4.18 cm, 35.80±1.03 stalk, and 128.5±11.65 leaves, respectively. Also, application T2 enhanced growth vegetative Indigofera started at 7 weeks of age (35th days after planting). It could be concluded that the combination of biochar and rabbit manure biofertilizer gives the optimal result in the growth of Indigofera.

The study used 200 Japanese quail (Cortunix Cortunix japonica) aged eight weeks with a daily egg production of > 50%. This research aimed to study the substitutions of soybean meal (SBM) with Indigofera zollingeriana top leaf meal (ILM) in the diet on of the quail production performance. The experiment was conducted using a complete random design with five treatments and four repeats (10 quail tails each). The dietary treatment contained fve kind of combination of of SBM and ILM, R0= diets contained 18% SBM without ILM, R1= 16.2% SBM and 2.66% ILM, R2= 14.4% SBM and 5.32% ILM, R3= 12.6% SBM and 7.98% ILM, R4= 9% SBM and 13.3% ILM. The result showed that the used 2.66%, 5.32%, 13.3% ILM (R4) significantly (P<0.05) to quail egg production, egg mass production, and ration conversion. The conclusion of this sstudy was Indigofera zollingeriana top leaf meal could be used as much as 13.3% in the diets and could improve the quail production performance.Key words : Indigofera zollingeriana, Production performance Quail,

THE EFFECT OF DEFOLIATION INTENSITY ON PRODUCTIVITY OF Indigofera zollingeriana. This research aims to know the effect of defoliaion intensity on productivity (fresh production, dry weight production, proportion of leaves and stems) and to know the defoliation intensity with optimal productivity of forage Indigofera zollingeriana. This research was conducted in December 2019 until March 2020. It consisted of defoliation intensity at 75cm (T75), 100cm (T100), 125cm (T125), and 150cm (T150). The design used in this experiment is Completely Randomized Design. The variables in this research were 1. fresh production leaves and stems; 2. dry weight production leaves and stems; 3. the proportion of leaves and stems dry weight production of forages Indigofera zollingeriana. The results showed that the difference of intensity defoliation had a significantly effect (P<0,01) on productivity (fresh production, dry weight production, proportion of leaves and stems) forage Indigofera zollingeriana. Defoliation intensity 75 cm have significantly (P<0,01) fresh and dry weight leaf of Indigofera zollingeriana than hight defoliation 125 cm and 150 cm. Intensity defoliation 125 cm have significantly (P<0,01) leaf-stem ratio of Indigofera zollingeriana than any other. It conclude that intensity defoliation 125 cm have highly productivity.   Keywords: Indigofera zollingeriana, cutting intensity, productivity
