Abstract Plants have developed sophisticated and complex epigenetic regulation-based mechanisms to maintain stable growth and development under diverse environmental conditions. Histone deacetylases (HDACs) are important epigenetic regulators in eukaryotes that are involved in the deacetylation of lysine residues of histone H3 and H4 proteins. Plants have developed a unique HDAC family, HD2, in addition to the RPD3 and Sir2 families, which are also present in other eukaryotes. HD2s are well conserved plant-specific HDACs, which were first identified as nucleolar phosphoproteins in maize. The HD2 family plays important roles not only in fundamental developmental processes, including seed germination, root and leaf development, floral transition, and seed development, but also in regulating plant responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. Some of the HD2 members coordinate each other to function. The HD2 family proteins also show functional association with RPD3-type HDACs and other transcription factors as a part of repression complexes in gene regulatory networks involved in environmental stress responses. This review aims to analyse and summarise recent research progress in the HD2 family, and to describe their role in plant growth and development and in response to different environmental stresses.

The various changes that have occurred in the seaport industry have had a continuous and substantial impact on seaport activities and management in recent decades. The highly competitive and rapidly changing environment faced by business has greatly increased the need for strategic planning. Thus, it is relevant and appropriate to apply strategic positioning tools to seaports given how competitive strategies play a key role in the growth and development of this industry. This research aims to analyse the strategic positioning of the leading Iberian Peninsula seaports using the BCG matrix from a static and dynamics perspective for the period between 1997 and 2008. The findings reveal a better positioning of Spanish seaports in relation to total traffic. Furthermore, considering container traffic, the results point to the seaports of Algeciras, Valencia and Barcelona as having attained a remarkable position of leadership. However, according to the time series analysed, the ranking of seaports has not changed significantly.

<p>In Bangladesh the establishment of Central Depository Bangladesh Limited (CDBL) added value to the stock market and plays a vital role in the progress of economic development. CDBL is engaged in the operations of the Central Depository System (CDS), a major financial market infrastructure in Bangladesh established as a part of the overall financial sector development. This study tried to analyze the growth and development of CDBL. Seven trend equations have been tested for different activities of CDBL.It is observed that CDBL was able to achieve a stable growth of listed securities in CDS, depository participants, settlement of securities transactions, documentation of CDBL, total assets and net income during the period of 2007-2015. Square of correlation coefficient (r2) has also been tested for all trend equations. It indicates the prospect of CDBL in Bangladesh is relatively bright.</p>

Being the main pilar of development, there is still a need to develop the qualities of human resource. These qualities of human resources consist of level of health and emotional and spiritual maturities that can be assessed from a child starting from the fetus stage to the age of 6 years old. During this period, a child is in a serious need of nutritious and balanced food, education, and care for various aspects so that her or she can grow and develop optimally through a good family development. The aim of this research was to describe family development program trends throughout the so-called activity group of Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB). Hence, this study used the descriptive quantitative approach. The data were collected from the results of the KKBPK survey on 2017 family RPJMN. The results howed that family knowledge on BKB increased by 43% (in 2017) compared to 41% (in 2016), family parenting experiences in the nurturing children who where under five-years of age and of pre-school ages mostly consisted of distribution of nutritious food, amounting to 72.9% (2015), 70.8% (2016) and 73.4% (2017), accompanying children to play which reached 39.25% (2015), 57.2% (2016) and 63.5% (2017), and giving the opportunity to their children to play with their peers which amounted to 52.2% (2015), 72.0% (2016) and 78.0% (2017). In conclusion, family development trends through the Bina Keluarga Balita activity group showed an increased from year 2015 to 2017. Moreover, the index of parenting experiences and growth and development of children under five years of age and of pre-school ages was 66.7% in year 2017 (index range 0–100), which had fulfilled the strategic planning target.
