This study discusses the study of Islam Nusantara culture in mathematics learning. This research uses library method. The data obtained is a publication of research articles in a scientific journal. The article analyzed includes three stages, namely organize, synthesize, and identify. The results of data analysis show that (1) culture of Islam Nusantara can be used to teach a concept in learning mathematics, (2) this culture can be used as material in strengthening character education, (3) and this culture can develop the ability of cultural literacy.

This community service activity aims to expose students to understanding the concept of gender and gender  equality in order to minimize oppression, discrimination and bullying that mostly occurs against girls. This  activity also aims to improve students' understanding of the value of character education and positive  attitudes. The partner of this community development are students and teachers of Kranggan Lembur  Mandiri Kindergarten, Jatirangga, Jatisampurna District, Bekasi. This community service activity is  carried out through the method of assisting story reading, designing syllabus of story reading based on  thematic reading, and providing material in the form of children's story books, as well as making children's  story telling videos about gender equality, which can be used for students' independent learning.  Monitoring and evaluation activities are carried out through observation and interviews. This activity helps  improve students' understanding of the role and empowerment of women through education, enrichment of  character and positive attitudes on gender justice (can work together, competence, active, empathize,  problem solving), improve linguistic competence and visual literacy (recognition of colors and images),  and also understanding of cultural literacy through children's stories containing local Indonesian culture  and gender perspective.

The times is something that can not be avoided for developing countries like Indonesia. MEA's presence in Indonesia was busily engaged in various parties to prepare themselves to be ready to competitiveness at the ASEAN level. However, on the other hand, the government is troubled by the literate culture of our society is very low. The existence of libraries and other government programs do not show optimal results. Therefore, the need to foster a culture of literacy with creative ideas so that culture can be developed.Utilizing owned Indonesian culture is one way to stay active reading and writing. Many things can be developed so that teachers or learners can use this as an effort to maintain a culture of literacy. Minangkabau as tribal people in West Sumatra has a rich culture, such as traditional dances. However, not everyone understands the philosophy of the dance. For the Minangkabau, everything delivered although through dance and music has a meaning and a story. This is exactly what is important to be maintained and reserved through cultural literacy so that local knowledge of Indonesian culture can be introduced to the nation's future generations. This potential can be used as an effort to improve cultural literacy, reading culture that is owned and developed through writing literature. The theory of deconstruction was a bid profound reading of the text culture. Later it was used as a creative process of creation of literary works which have the concept of character education and culture-based local.
