Technology today has progressed at a rapid rate, as well as with instant messaging growing into all aspects of life, even more so in the advancement of communication technology. By using the VoIP feature, users can communicate by voice via the Internet. Messenger as a communication medium that is fast, accurate and low cost is expected to meet the need for a practical communication media. The purpose of this study is to analyze and design a messaging application called Bee-Messenger which will be used as a medium of instant messaging in Bina Nusantara University, and also analyze the needs of users with feature-contained in commonly used messenger applications. Research methods used are literature review, field studies, and field observations. Evaluation is based on the comparison of Bee-Messenger features with the same features found in Yahoo Messenger and MSN Messenger. Bee-Messenger can also activate YM and MSN messaging accounts simultaneously in a single application that gives users a practical application messaging.

This paper researches on the various kinds of Instant Messaging System, analyzes the functionality of Instant Messaging System, and proposes system architecture.

This paper designs and implements an Internet interface in an embedded POS system based on Webit, an embedded platform and interface for Internet of things which is a self-owned intellectual property of Lab. of Embedded Technology, Northeastern University, China. The Internet interface is designed and implemented on an 8-bit RISC micro-controller and Ethernet Network Interface Controller, with a real-time OS – WebitOS 2.0 strictly conforming to TCP/IP protocol requirements. Then experiments of testing functions and the performance of the embedded POS system are performed. And results show that the POS system based on Webit has a practical application value with properties such as low cost, and capabilities of simple network configuration and remote management.

With the rapid development of the internet and wireless mobile communication technology, more and more users make use of mobile terminal to access to the internet. Wireless mobile accessing technology combined with IPv6 protocol have been the present research hotspots. In this paper we analyzed the layered switching based on mobile IPv6 protocol, and compared its performance of technology. At last, corresponding conclusion is given, combining with the practical application.

The use of media in providing counseling services greatly affects the skills of counselors in conducting counseling through virtual internet media. The development of communication technology in the era of 4.0 makes counselors more familiar with, utilizing and applying counseling media virtually via the internet. The development of communication technology requires counselors to innovate, especially in providing e-counseling services as a forum for counselors to provide alternative solutions to problems faced by counselees. This research method is descriptive qualitative research, the source of this research data comes from document studies in the form of books and previous research which is used as a source of data that supports research. The results of this study indicate that online counseling is in the form of virtual counseling technology media, namely: websites, telephones or cellphones, email, video conferencing, chat, instant messaging, computers and other social media networks. The ethics that must be considered by online counselors are how to establish good relationships via the internet, confidentiality aspects in the implementation of counseling, legal aspects in telecommunications via the internet and licensing. Thus online counselors are required to work professionally by paying attention to ethics in the implementation of online counseling.

Researching people in their chaotic and complex everyday lives is challenging for researchers at any time but especially during the application of social distancing measures. In this article, we make the case for the methodical potential of mobile messengers such as WhatsApp for qualitative mobile in situ research. We exemplify the productive use of the Mobile Instant Messaging Interview (MIMI), a research method developed by Kaufmann and Peil in 2020, to study participants’ everyday life in real-time. Based on two case studies from geography and communication studies conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic, we expound our experiences in the practical application of the MIMI approach and give recommendations. We conclude that MIMIs are a low-cost, easily feasible and short-term implemented approach for research interests across disciplines and possessing great potential for exceptional circumstances like the COVID-19 pandemic. They allow direct access to the practices and experiences of people in situ and in real-time that would otherwise stay hidden and inaccessible to social sciences. The method is suitable for research projects of any size, and can be applied as part of multi- and mixed methods designs and as well for longitudinal designs. Nonetheless, the MIMIs have to be well prepared, demand smart ways of nudging participants into elaborating their responses and require careful coordination between larger teams of researchers.

Employing S3C2410 as the core component, a kind of concentrator in power energy information acquisition system based on the Internet and the short-distance communication technology Zigbee has been designed in this paper. The structure and function of the system has been introduced too. The Internet and Zigbee communications are realized and parts of the circuits and flow charts are given. This system uses the short-distance communication technology Zigbee to realize the data transmission between concentrator and collector, and then uses the Internet to carry the data to the superintendent center, and realizes the remote brail and management function. Empirical results show that this system can primly realize the itinerant excerption of the ammeters, the analysis of the statistical electric dosage, and the remote control of switch on and off. This system has the low cost, high reliability and stability, it can advance the automation level of the electric power management, and has a good foreground.

The article presents the results of the field studies and observations that carried out on the territory of the hilly, low-mountain and foothill agro landscapes of the Kyzylsu-yuzhnaya (Kyzylsu-Southern) River Basin of Tajikistan. Taking into account the high-altitude location of households and the amount of precipitation in the river basin, the annual volumes of water accumulated with the use of low-cost systems of collection and storage of precipitation have been clarified. The amount of water accumulated in the precipitation collection and storage systems has been established, the volume of water used for communal and domestic needs,the watering of livestock and the amount of water that can be used to irrigate crops in the have been determined. Possible areas of irrigation of household plots depending on the different availability of precipitation have been determined. It has been established that in wet years (with precipitation of about 10%) the amount of water collected using drip irrigation will be sufficient for irrigation of 0.13 hectares, and in dry years (with 90% of precipitation) it will be possible to irrigate only 0.03 ha of the household plot. On the basis of the basin, the total area of irrigation in wet years can be 4497 ha, and in dry years only 1087 ha. Taking into account the forecasts of population growth by 2030 and an increase in the number of households, the total area of irrigation of farmlands in wet years may reach 5703 hectares,and in dry years – 1379 hectares. Growing crops on household plots under irrigation contributes to a significant increase in land productivity and increases the efficiency of water use of the Kyzylsu-yuzhnaya basin.
