The phylogenetic relationship of Elymus species were analyzed by molecular phylogenetic methods. Comparative analysis of the sequences ITS1-5.8S rRNA gene-ITS2 of the nuclear genome species of genus Elymus and kinship group showed that the species of the genus Elymus have 3 haplotypes. Нaplotype A was found in Elymus species (sections: Turczaninovia, Goulardia и Elymus) and Elytrigia geniculata; haplotype B was found in Elymus species (sections: Turczaninovia, Goulardia); haplotype C (sections: Goulardia и Clinelymopsis) and E. repens. Comparative analysis of the sequences trnL-trnF of the chloroplast genome of genus Elymus related species showed that the species of the genus Elymus form strongly supported clade. The phylogenetic trees were constructed using Bayesian method. Refs 22. Figs 2. Tables 3.

Comparative analysis of the sequence ITS1-5.8S rRNA gene-ITS2 of the nuclear genome of 13 species of genus Glyceria, 4 species of Melica and a species of monotypic genus Pleuropogon showed that the species of the genus Glyceria have 3 haplotypes: 1) Haplotype A was found only in species of the subgenus Glyceria section Glyceria (G. septentrionalis, G. fluitans, G. declinata, G. occidentalis, G. notata, G. borealis, G. leptostachya) and in Pleuropogon sabinii; 2) Haplotype C is characteristic of the subgenus Hydropoa, section Hydropoa (G. grandis, G. х amurensis, G. triflora, G. maxima) and sect. Lithuanicae (G. leptolepis); 3) Haplotype B is found in the species of the subgenus Hydropoa sections Striatae (G. elata, G. striata, G. neogaea, G. canadensis), Scolochloiformes (G. alnasteretum, G. spiculosa) and G. lithuanica of sect. Lithuanicae. Species carring haplotype B are located at the base of the phylogenetic tree of the genus Glyceria and/or clustered with low bootstrap indices. On the phylogenetic trees inferred by the analysis of the sequences ITS and 5.8S rDNA both sect. Glyceria and sect. Hydropoa represented two sister monophyly branches. The species Pleuropogon sabinii belong to the branch of subgenus Glyceria as a sister monotypic branch to the branch of the sect. Glyceria.

A molecular phylogenetic study of weed-field species of the genus Avena L. using marker sequences ITS1–5.8S rRNA gene–ITS2 was undertaken. In addition, next-generation sequencing (NGS) was performed on the Illuminaplatform for the ITS1 sequence and the beginning of the gene 5.8S rRNA. Sanger sequencing results revealed the separateclade of microspecies with a good level of support and small level of difference between themselves. According to NGSsequencing data, the two most abundant subgenomes in terms of the number of sequences were identified. Among thecommon sequences of hexaploids, those associated with the C-genome were not found. The presence of unique ribotypeswas shown for A. persica and A. georgica.

The size of the nuclear genome in eukaryotes is mostly determined by mobile elements and noncoding sequences and may vary within wide limits. It can differ significantly both among higher-order taxa and closely related species within a genus; genome size is known to be uncorrelated with organism complexity (the so-called C-paradox). Less is known about intraspecific variation of this parameter. Typically, genome size is stable within a species, and the known exceptions turn out be cryptic taxa. The Eisenia nordenskioldi complex encompasses several closely related earthworm species. They are widely distributed in the Urals, Siberia, and the Russian Far East, as well as adjacent regions. This complex is characterized by significant morphological, chromosomal, ecological, and genetic variation. The aim of our study was to estimate the nuclear genome size in several genetic lineages of the E.  nordenskioldi complex using flow cytometry. The genome size in different genetic lineages differed strongly, which supports the hypothesis that they are separate species. We found two groups of lineages, with small (250–500 Mbp) and large (2300–3500 Mbp) genomes. Moreover, different populations within one lineage also demonstrated variation in genome size (15–25 %). We compared the obtained data to phylogenetic trees based on transcriptome data. Genome size in ancestral population was more likely to be big. It increased or decreased independently in different lineages, and these processes could be associated with changes in genome size and/or transition to endogeic lifestyle.

Abstract ITS1, the 5.8S rRNA gene and ITS2 of the rDNA region were sequenced from 20 different Pratylenchus species. Additionally, the same region was sequenced from seven populations of P. penetrans. After purifying, cloning and sequencing the PCR products, all sequences were aligned in order to find unique sites suitable for the design of species-specific primers for P. penetrans. Since ITS regions showed variability between and even within populations of P. penetrans, only three small DNA sequences were suitable for the construction of three potentially useful species-specific primers. New species-specific primers were paired with existing universal ITS primers and tested in all possible primer combinations. The best performing primer set, supplemented with a universal 28S rDNA primer set that served as an internal control, was tested in duplex PCR. The ideal annealing temperature, Mg2+ concentration and primer ratios were then determined for the most promising primer set. The optimised duplex PCR was subsequently tested on a wide range of different Pratylenchus spp. and 25 P. penetrans populations originating from all over the world. To test the sensitivity, the duplex PCR was conducted on DNA extracted from a single P. penetrans nematode mixed with varying amounts of nematodes belonging to another Pratylenchus species. Results showed that a reliable and sensitive P. penetrans species-specific duplex PCR was constructed.

The article is devoted to the study of individual directions and trends in the development of Russian-Chinese relations in the field of education. Topicality of the research is stipulated by necessity of organizational reforming of higher education system in the direction of perspectives of cooperation between Russia and China that presupposes study and comparative analysis of educational systems of considered countries. The article is devoted to the study of some trends and tendencies in the development of Russian-Chinese relations in the field of education. The specifics of the development of integration of educational space of Russia and China on the example of border regions: Heilongjiang Province and the Far East are considered. The method of comparative analysis was used to identify the specifics of higher education in China and the Russian Federation. Mutual benefit and mutual expediency were indicated as criteria for cooperation of both countries in the field of education. The features of higher education development in Heilongjiang Province and in the Russian Far East were described. An analysis of higher education development in the Russian Far East as assessed by Chinese experts is given. The results of a study by Chinese scholars on the preferences of Russian youth are presented. The key areas of effective joint solution to the problem of training a globally competitive professional are identified. The conclusions can be used in developing plans for cooperation between Russia and China in the sphere of higher education.

The new species Dicranum ignatovii Tubanova & Fedosov is described from Sakhalin, South Kurile Islands and the Khabarovsk Territory based on the approach of integrative taxonomy. The species is characterized by the unique combination of (1) short leaves with broadly acute apex, (2) slightly recurved distal leaf lamina, (3) short-rectangular to transverse rectangular distal leaf cells, (4) proximal leaf cells abruptly shortened distally and thus occupying only the basalmost leaf portion, (5) costa ending before apex, and (6) presence of flagelliform branchlets in upper leaf axils. Based on nrITS 1, 2 & 5.8 rRNA gene sequences, molecular phylogenetic analysis was carried out. As a result, three studied specimens were found in a well supported clade, nested in a weakly supported clade where D. acutifolium, D. caesium, D. bardunovii, D. angustum, D. bonjeanii, D. scoparium and D. brevifolium were also found.

Accurate identification of the bovine pathogen Tritrichomonas foetus is sometimes complicated by the presence of other trichomonadid protozoa in clinical samples. A highly specific and reproducible approach for differentiating 3 common types of bovine trichomonadid protozoa found in the bovine preputial cavity, T. foetus, Pentatrichomonas hominis, and a Tetratrichomonas species, was developed using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis. Universal trichomonadid protozoa primers, TFR1 and TFR2, were used to amplify the 5.8S rRNA gene and internal transcribed spacer regions (ITSRs), and the products were digested with the restriction enzyme HpyCH4IV. Restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis was performed on 55 trichomonad isolates from bovine preputial washing and scraping samples. The RFLP results correlated 100% with 5.8S rRNA gene and ITSR sequence results and PCR results with primers specific for T. foetus. The results of this study demonstrate that PCR and RFLP analysis can be used in lieu of DNA sequencing to identify the specific trichomonadid protozoa isolated from the bovine preputial cavity.
