The adaptability of assistive mobility devices and the role of the internet of medical things: A literature review (Preprint)

UNSTRUCTURED With the projected upsurge in the percentage of persons with some form of disability, there is a significant increase in the need for assistive mobility devices. However, these mobility aids are hardly effective without their ability to adapt to the user’s needs. This is achieved by improving the confidence of the information used or interaction between the user and his device also referred to as adaptation. In the recent past, there has been little effort to provide literature reviews on the adaptability of assistive mobility devices (AMDs). This paper systematically reviews the recent assistive mobility technologies, over the past decade, according to their adaptation and the role that the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) has played in the adaptability of these technologies. The information gathered in the study provides awareness of the status of adaptive mobility technology and serves as a source and reference of information to healthcare professionals, and researchers. The paper starts by highlighting recent technologies according to the user system interface (human/device interface), then presents some recent technologies in perception and sensor fusion (autonomous navigation) for adaptability, and finally, IoMT frameworks for AMDs. Some notable limitations are also discussed. The findings of the review reveal that an improvement in the adaptation of assistive mobility systems would require a reduction in the training time and avoidance of cognitive overload. Furthermore, sensor fusion and classification accuracy are critical to achieving real-world testing requirements. Finally, the trade-off between cost and performance needs to be considered in the commercialization of these devices.

The Right of Minors to Freedom from Gambling and Internet andGaming Addition The aim of the article is to highlight the dangers of gambling and Internet and gaming addiction of minors and young persons. The author is convinced that in the absence of positive legislative changes and if creators of games engaging young persons in gaming are not punished, children will not be safe in the online environment. There will not have any other lives than those in the games they play. Additionally, the most important thing is the role of the parents, guardians and teachers. They should talk to children about the problem, show them the dangers and organise better their free time – in an educational and carefree way. In accordance with the obligatory rules of custody, they should ensure them suitable development, safety and a sense of belonging. The teachers ought to support these activities. Summarising, if the status quo continues to be tolerated, minors and young person’s will be deprived of carefree life and suffer from harm and even sudden deaths. The author is sure that parents and children do not give enough attention to that and we should not take away from young person’s the joy of simple things letting them play in the Internet instead.

By paying particular attention to the role of the dancing body inBlack Swan(2010), this chapter interrogates the status of virtuosity and performance in a film that insists on the horror of transformation.Swan Lakeis significant in dance history for introducing thefouettéturn, the modern mark of female virtuosity in ballet from the late nineteenth century onward. Director Darren Aronofsky relies upon filmic techniques to invoke the dismantling effects of ballet technique, demonstrating how the pursuit of virtuosity narrates a story of the attainment, surpassing, and failure of technique. He does so by drawing upon lowbrow “body genres” (Linda Williams) to depict an otherwise highbrow art form.Black Swanportrays artistic ambition through a ballerina’s (and Odette/Odile’s) erratic transformation from human to animal. Mirroring, doubling, and reversibility (Vivian Sobchack) are tropes for Nina (Natalie Portman) and her alter-ego. Embodied by Nina and Lily (Mila Kunis), self andotherperform a necessarily entangled pas de deux, one in which the seemingly perfect image of the other simultaneously haunts and motivates the dancer, a figure for whom psychological control diminishes as artistic control accrues.

Background The Internet of Medical Things (IoMTs) is gradually replacing the traditional healthcare system. However, little attention has been paid to their security requirements in the development of the IoMT devices and systems. One of the main reasons can be the difficulty of tuning conventional security solutions to the IoMT system. Machine Learning (ML) has been successfully employed in the attack detection and mitigation process. Advanced ML technique can also be a promising approach to address the existing and anticipated IoMT security and privacy issues. However, because of the existing challenges of IoMT system, it is imperative to know how these techniques can be effectively utilized to meet the security and privacy requirements without affecting the IoMT systems quality, services, and device’s lifespan. Methodology This article is devoted to perform a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on the security and privacy issues of IoMT and their solutions by ML techniques. The recent research papers disseminated between 2010 and 2020 are selected from multiple databases and a standardized SLR method is conducted. A total of 153 papers were reviewed and a critical analysis was conducted on the selected papers. Furthermore, this review study attempts to highlight the limitation of the current methods and aims to find possible solutions to them. Thus, a detailed analysis was carried out on the selected papers through focusing on their methods, advantages, limitations, the utilized tools, and data. Results It was observed that ML techniques have been significantly deployed for device and network layer security. Most of the current studies improved traditional metrics while ignored performance complexity metrics in their evaluations. Their studies environments and utilized data barely represent IoMT system. Therefore, conventional ML techniques may fail if metrics such as resource complexity and power usage are not considered.

Technical reproduction in general, and photography in particular have changed the status and practices of art. Similarly, the expansion of Web 2.0 interactive spaces presents opportunities and challenges to artistic communities. Present study focuses on artistic activism: socially sensitive artists publish their creation on the internet on its most interactive space – social media. These artworks carry both artistic and social messages. Such practices force us to reinterpret some elements of the classical art paradigm: its autonomy, authorship, uniqueness (as opposed to copies and series), and the social role of art. The analysis is aimed at Hungarian and Romanian online artistic projects from Transylvania region of Romania, relevant as intercultural communication endeavours. Our research question is the way they differ from the traditional artistic paradigm.

Hydrogen technologies have experienced cycles of excessive expectations followed by disillusion.Nonetheless, a growing body of evidence suggests these technologies form an attractive option forthe deep decarbonisation of global energy systems, and that recent improvements in their cost andperformance point towards economic viability as well. This paper is a comprehensive review of thepotential role that hydrogen could play in the provision of electricity, heat, industry, transport andenergy storage in a low-carbon energy system, and an assessment of the status of hydrogen in beingable to fulfil that potential. The picture that emerges is one of qualified promise: hydrogen is wellestablished in certain niches such as forklift trucks, while mainstream applications are now forthcoming.Hydrogen vehicles are available commercially in several countries, and 225,000 fuel cell home heatingsystems have been sold. This represents a step change from the situation of only five years ago. Thisreview shows that challenges around cost and performance remain, and considerable improvements arestill required for hydrogen to become truly competitive. But such competitiveness in the medium-termfuture no longer seems an unrealistic prospect, which fully justifies the growing interest and policysupport for these technologies around the world.

Abstract This research describes the implementation of wakaf land certification policy in Kota Karawang, West Java Province. This study uses a qualitative approach and explains the fact that, the data on the status of uncertified wakaf land is still much larger than that already certified, most of the land use / use of waqf land is mostly used for mosques and mushalla, administrative and coordinative processes and performance which need to be improved to minimize the occurrence of data discrepancies. Four things become an indicator and then concluded that the understanding of society is done solely for places of worship that its use is intended as a mosque, mushola, and educational institutions and other purposes that benefit the interests of the ummah. Awareness of community representation emerged and maintained due to the strong role of religious leaders. In relation to land wakaf land mapping data in Karawang, there are differences in the amount of wakaf land data published by three institutions, should not occur if there is a work synchronization and maximum coordination between the three institutions. There is a dispute on wakaf land in Karawang caused by the lack of public awareness about the importance of administration perwakafan. Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Karawang regency needs to cooperate more intensively dengen Government Karawang and BPN in acceleration of land certification through coaching and socialization perwakafan. The lack of budget for perwakafan posts in the Ministry of Religious Affairs Karawang regency has contributed to the weakness of the process of certification of wakaf land.
