Currently, epilepsy is one of the most pressing problems in pediatric neurology. The incidence of epilepsy in the pediatric population ranges from 0.5 to 0.75%. The problem of epilepsy is a problem of accurate syndromological diagnosis and treatment. The modern classification of epilepsy, epileptic syndromes and similar disorders distinguishes about 40 different forms of epilepsy, differing in clinical symptoms, principles of therapy, prognosis.

Purpose. The purpose of the current study was the search for evaluation criterion for the radiosensitivity of bone metastases of various origins. Materials and methods. The first part of the study presents a modern classification of pain, method of its evaluation, mechanisms and features of metastatic bone pain. The radiobiological patterns of pain relief in low-dose anti-inflammatory radiation therapy were also considered. The analysis of these features testifies in favor of the antitumor mechanism of pain relief in high-dose irradiation. To identify the relationship between pain and other clinical symptoms, 810 cases of bone metastases of various localization and morphology were analyzed. Results. The severity of pain directly correlates with gender, lesion length and little affected by the presence of pathological fracture. The intensity of pain does not depend on the primary tumor and bone metastases localization and does not correlate with the presence of neurological deficit. Conclusion. Completeness and persistence of the analgesic effect may reflect the real radiosensitivity of bone metastases, but taking into account the patient's gender and lesion length in the irradiated area.

Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background Takotsubo syndrome (TKS) is characterized by the appearance of apical reversible dyskinesia in its typical form. Electrocardiogram (ECG) in the acute phase (<12 from symptom onset) generally shows anterior ST segment elevation. Nonetheless, other atypical forms of TKS have been described depending on the location of the dyskinetic segments, such as, mid-ventricular, basal and focal forms. Considering the different segments involved in these atypical forms, it seems reasonable to consider that ST changes in acute phase ECG could be different. Purpose To compare ECG in the acute phase of typical TKS versus mid-ventricular TKS, as it was the more frequent form of atypical TKS in our registry. Methods Patients included in the prospective TKS registry of our center according to the Mayo Clinic diagnostic criteria, with the first ECG performed less than 12 hours from the symptoms onset were reviewed. All cardiac left ventriculographies were reviewed to ensure a correct classification of the different types of TKS. Results A total of 297 patients were included in our local registry. 80 patients met our study inclusion criteria. 56 ECGs of typical apical TKS were compared to 24 ECGs of atypical midventricular TKS. There were no differences between the baseline characteristics in both groups, except for mid-ventricular TKS, that was more frequently triggered by physical stressor. Regarding the ECG analysis, the main difference found in our serie was related to ST-segment deviation (Table 1). While ST-segment elevation was more common in typical TKS than in atypical TKS (73% vs 50%), ST-segment depression (generally in inferior leads) was observed in 54% of patients with atypical TKS and in no patient with typical TKS (figure 1). Conclusion The different location of dyskinesia between typical TKS and mid-ventricular TKS is associated to significant differences in the ECG obtained in the first hours after the onset of the clinical symptoms. The presence of ST-segment depression is highly suggestive of mid-ventricular TKS. Background: Water buffaloes are important milch species of tropical and subtropical countries. In general, they are considered to more resistant to diseases compared to crossbred cattle. However, a recent problem of tick-borne diseases in the water buffaloes by the field veterinarians and farmers causing production losses was observed. The study was conducted to explore the spectrum of tick-borne diseases (TBDs) infections in buffaloes and analyze the associated risk factors. Methods: Acute-phase response, cytokine and oxidative stress in infected buffaloes with TBDs were evaluated and compared with the negative buffaloes (control) to elucidate their role in pathogenesis and outcome of infection. The study was undertaken in 107 tick-infested water buffaloes. The conventional Giemsa stained blood smear (GSBS) based confirmation and classification of infection of haemo-parasites were made. The statistical model was used to understand their relevance with TBDs. Conclusion: Tick-borne disease in water buffaloes must be looked upon seriously to maintain good productivity. The buffaloes are often accompanied by low and un-yielding clinical symptoms due to associated co-infections of haemo-parasites. Our study showed that the buffaloes had a high prevalence (47.66%) of haemo-parasites transmitted by the ticks associated with co-infections and a low level of parasitemia. Most buffaloes responded symptomatically with the different modalities administered. Production parameter was not restored post 15 days of treatment. Oxidative stress is one of the important mechanisms of production losses in infected buffaloes.

For resources in the exploration stage, the modern “Classification of reserves” requires determining the economic efficiency of development prospects. Calculations of the development efficiency are based on the development time, which is difficult to determine without technological projects and schemes due to insufficient initial data. The identification of development stages in the preliminary economic assessment is carried out on the basis of expert appraisals without precise criteria, by analogy with the fields under development. The article establishes empirical dependencies and shows the possibility of their use for express forecast of the period for finishing work on a field (deposit), duration of the main development period, duration of the increasing production stage. Dependencies allow solving the problem of constructing a production curve in conditions of limited geological data. The express method can be used at the macro level to develop strategies for the development of oil and gas regions and at the micro level in the economic assessment of the prospects for the development of objects.

Objective. To present a variant of the modern classification of the processes occurring with lesions of the genitals, to draw specialists’ attention to the peculiarities and variety of causes leading to inflammation of the glans and foreskin, as well as to discuss topical issues of external therapy of balanopostitis.Material and methods. Data from modern studies and clinical guidelines were used in the preparation of the publication.Results. The variety of variants of lesions of the glans and foreskin can be due to a number of reasons and can be either an independent local process or a fragment of dermatosis, where it is possible to be affected in the form of balanoposthitis. Also, when examining and selecting therapy options, it is important to consider the possible role of microorganisms, whose spectrum as a cause of balanoposthitis varies from aerobic and anaerobic, to viral and fungal microflora. Treatment approaches are determined by the etiological factors.Conclusions. Balanoposthitis is a heterogeneous group of nosologies. The choice of treatment is based on the identified cause or empirically when possible. External therapy and hygiene constitute an essential part of treatment. When choosing drugs for topical glucocorticosteroids, preferenceshould be given to drugs with a high therapeutic index and low atrophogenic potential. Dysplastic processes of the penis are associated with human papillomavirus infection, the treatment of which can be both conservative and destructive.
