Artificial intelligence (AI) is a complex technology with a steady flow of new applications, including in the pathology laboratory. Applications of AI in pathology are scarce but increasing; they are based on complex software-based machine learning with deep learning trained by pathologists. Their uses are based on tissue identification on histologic slides for classification into categories of normal, nonneoplastic and neoplastic conditions. Most AI applications are based on digital pathology. This commentary describes the role of AI in the pathological diagnosis of the gastrointestinal tract and provides insights into problems and future applications by answering four fundamental questions.

Our aim was to explore emotions in Instagram images marked with hashtags referring to body image–related components using an artificial intelligence–based discrete emotional analysis. A total of 500 Instagram photos marked by specific hashtags related to body image components were analyzed and specific discrete emotions expressed in each picture were detected using the Emotion application program interface API from Microsoft Azure Cognitive Service. Results showed that happiness and neutrality were the most intense and recognizable emotions expressed in all images. Happiness intensity was significantly higher in images with #bodyimage and #bodyconfidence and higher levels of neutral emotion were found in images tagged with #body, #bodyfitness, and #thininspirational. This study integrated a discrete emotional model with the conventional dimensional one, and offered a higher degree of granularity in the analysis of emotions–body link on Instagram through an artificial intelligence technology. Future research should deepen the use of discrete emotions on Instagram and the role of neutrality in body image representation.

With the intensification of competition among universities, brand building has gradually become an important content that universities at home and abroad attach great importance to. In the current situation of declining influence of traditional publicity channels and limited influence of self-built media, artificial intelligence technology can provide all-round technical support for university brand integrated marketing communication in terms of communication content and communication channels.

Advances in reagents, methodologies, analytic platforms, and tools have resulted in a dramatic transformation of the research pathology laboratory. These advances have increased our ability to efficiently generate substantial volumes of data on the expression and accumulation of mRNA, proteins, carbohydrates, signaling pathways, cells, and structures in healthy and diseased tissues that are objective, quantitative, reproducible, and suitable for statistical analysis. The goal of this review is to identify and present how to acquire the critical information required to measure changes in tissues. Included is a brief overview of two morphometric techniques, image analysis and stereology, and the use of artificial intelligence to classify cells and identify hidden patterns and relationships in digital images. In addition, we explore the importance of preanalytical factors in generating high-quality data. This review focuses on techniques we have used to measure proteoglycans, glycosaminoglycans, and immune cells in tissues using immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization to demonstrate the various morphometric techniques. When performed correctly, quantitative digital pathology is a powerful tool that provides unbiased quantitative data that are difficult to obtain with other methods.

Aim: This research aim is to analyze an artificial intelligence platform that can be used in imparting education as well as evaluating student performance. Method: This research was conducted with a qualitative method by conducting in-depth interviews and a literature study. Results: The findings of this study shows that Artificial Intelligence technology can be used as a means of developing English learning for students. Discussion: There have been several studies that support research results, that AI can be used to improve students' English skills through applications, websites, Virtual Reality technology, and other AI-based learning and teaching systems. Limitation: The limitation of this research is that it does not examine how far the role of AI in students' English learning is. Suggestion: For further research, it is expected to test how far the role of AI is to improve students' English skills, especially Universitas Airlangga students.

Lawyers and citizens increasingly engage with law through technology intermediaries. For example, to declare their taxes, they consult tax software rather than tax legislation. This greater role of legal technology raises new issues for bilingual jurisdictions. In Canada, for instance, federal legislation is not translated but simultaneously codrafted by francophone and anglophone lawyers, resulting in small differences in the expression of the law and occasional inconsistencies. This contribution showcases how these differences can affect legal technology applications. Depending on the language they work with, lawyers may encode different interpretations in software, and algorithms may yield different results. Using a bilingual corpus of 3,000 Canadian federal regulations as a case study, the authors demonstrate that the same artificial intelligence techniques applied to the same legal texts in different languages yield different results. As a consequence, they argue that legal technology cannot simply be developed for one language and then translated to another language. Instead, it has to be “codeveloped” for different languages, similar to how legislation can be “codrafted.”

The purpose of the article is to identify the advantages of introducing artificial intelligence into life and potential threats to its use using the example of leading countries in this field - the USA, China and the UK. Research methods such as case herds and comparative studies have been chosen as the main ones. With their help, the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the field of politics and public administration, domestic and foreign policy and ensuring national security was analyzed. The goals of using artificial intelligence technologies in the power and management sphere of different countries are indicated. The scope of artificial intelligence technologies application is considered. The role of the National Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Russia, adopted in 2019, was noted. Arguments are formulated "for" and "against" the use of artificial intelligence. It is stated that at present artificial intelligence has become an integral element of state and social development. Over time, it will only gain momentum and once again become a topic for discussions of scientists, politicians and public figures, as artificial intelligence technology gradually become part of the life of society.
