This paper consists analysis on performance enhancement of solar photovoltaic cell by using reflecting and cooling system. The performance of PV (photovoltaic) module is strongly dependent on its surface temperature and solar radiation strikes on PV panel. It is necessary to study possible way for maintaining the appropriate temperature for solar panels and make system that will help to strikes maximum solar radiation on panel. High solar radiation and ambient temperature lead to an elevated photovoltaic cell operating temperature, which affects its lifespan and power output adversely. To enhance the electrical performance of the PV module we make one system which consists of two mirrors as a reflector placing beside solar panel and cooling system consists of pipe placed on upper area of solar panel. At time of sunrise and sunset low solar radiation is fall on solar panel, so reflecting system increase the intensity of solar radiation fall on solar panel. At noon time or afternoon the temperature of solar panel is increases it will decrease the efficiency of solar panel to minimize that cooling system is introduced that controlled the surface temperature.

A solar photovoltaic panel or a solar PV module is a device, which is to be considered universality the basic constituent of a solar photovoltaic system and is a combination of series and parallel assembly of solar cells. The electrical performance of this solar photovoltaic module be contingent on different environmental situations like PV cells/module solar spectral (air mass), ambient temperature, solar irradiance, angle-of-incidence.With these dependent conditions, there will be a petite chance to operate at its maximum power point (MPP) Hence, a Perturb and Observe (P&O) MPP algorithm is employed which draws considerable power with the desired time response. In present work, the interfacing of Solar PV system with the utility grid system which is having 15kW based on the Voltage Oriented Control (VOC). The temperature of the individual photovoltaic cell and solar irradiation are to be considered as inputs for the simulation process, whereas the duty cycle of the DC-DC boost converter is an output of the P&O controller. Performance of this grid-connected PV system with VOC method is analyzed with the simulation results and %THD values of the voltage and current at coupling point is verified. The results show the superiority of VOC method and its high dynamic behavior under variable irradiation conditions.

The operating temperature of the photovoltaic module is an important issue because it is directly linked with system efficiency. The objective of this work is to evaluate temperature distribution in the photovoltaic module under different environmental conditions. The results shown that photovoltaic module operating temperature depends not only on the ambient temperature or solar radiation dependent but also depends on wind speed and wind direction. It is presented that the mounting conditions which are not taken into consideration by most of the literature models also play a significant role in heat transfer. Depends on mounting type an increase in module operating temperature in the range 10-15oC was observed which cause further PV system efficiency decrease of about 3.8-6.5 %.

Sun is the most important source of renewable source of energy. During the past few decades there has been an ever-increasing interest in Photovoltaic (PV) cells as it directly converts solar radiation into electricity. This paper involves the performance study of photovoltaic system under concentrated solar radiation. The main problem with the concentration solar energy is the drastic increase in temperature of the photovoltaic module resulting in a decrease in performance efficiency of the system. This problem of overheating of the system can be overcome by providing cooling which would ensure operation of the module in the optimal temperature range. Hence, the setup would function as a hybrid model serving the dual purpose of power generation while also utilizing the waste heat for water heating applications. The experimental set up consist of a novel arrangement of concentrator and reflector and the cooling system. The Hybrid Photovoltaic System was repeatedly tested under real time conditions on several days. A comparison was drawn between the results obtained from direct exposure of a standard photovoltaic module to that obtained from the hybrid system in order to better understand the improvement in performance parameters. The study shown a significant improvement of output of standard photovoltaic module under the concentrated solar radiation.

The paper discuss about the modelling and electrical characteristics of photovoltaic cell and its array type of construction in matlab-simulink environment at different insolation levels. The photovoltaic module is modelled using the diode electrical characteristic equation. The photovoltaic cell is analysed by voltage input and current input modules, The voltage and current input photovoltaic modules are simulated with different insolation values by varying the construction of PV modules. The results conclude that the current input PV module is well suited for applications were it shares same current when connected in series and voltage input PV module, where it shares same voltage when connected in parallel.

Abstract Photovoltaic panels can directly generate electricity by converting solar energy, but the panels temperature reduce the efficiency of photovoltaic cells. The photovoltaic thermal PVT system technology is used to improve the electrical performance. In this study, the daily and monthly global solar radiation on a horizontal surface for Iraq have been measured and presented then used with PVT water system. ANSYS software is used to simulate the water temperature differences behavior and measure the surface temperature of PVT model using the collected irradiation with the mass flow rate at 0.01 and 0.02 kg per second. The CFID results were validated with previous studies and observed a good agreement. The simulation tests apply a constant input temperature to the PVT system in all the yearly weather conditions in order to enhance the surface temperature. The results observe the PVT thermal efficiency behavior and show the maximum enhancement which is reached to 61% with the mass flowrate 0.03 kg per second and constant low input temperature.
