Electric vehicles are an important option for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Electric vehicles not only reduce dependence on fossil fuels, but also reduce the impact of ozone-depleting substances and promote widespread adoption of renewable energies. Despite extensive research into the properties and characteristics of electric vehicles as well as the nature of their charging infrastructure, electric vehicle construction and grid modeling continue to evolve and become limited. regime. This paper presents market penetration surveys for electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles, and describes optimal engineering and modeling approaches. their differences. Research on critical barriers and inadequate charging equipment targets developing countries like India, which makes the study unique. The development of the new Vehicle to Grid concept has created additional energy sources when renewable energy sources are not available. We conclude that considering the specific characteristics of an electric vehicle is important in the mobility of the electric vehicle.

The current century is characterized by an increasing use of renewable energy - wind farms, solar parks, bio fuels, etc. Climate change and rising prices of fossil fuels lead to increased investment in renewable energy. This raises the need to examine the impact of various factors on the efficiency of energy production from renewable energy sources. This is related to the development of adequate models and the implementation of appropriate computer systems to manage and control these processes. The present work presents the main aspects of the modelling of a building heating installation using renewable energy sources - a solar photovoltaic panel and a HHO gas generator. The additional energy needed to heat the building is provided by a pellet boiler. An energy balance of the studied building is made taking into account the external and internal temperatures and energy loss. The computer model was developed in order to build a system for process control in the building’s heating system.

The Paper is focused to give the design requirements of SPPHEV (Solar Powered Plug in Hybrid Electric vehicle), which is one of the solution to reduce the air pollution. As transportation in India is mainly dependent on Fossil fuels to drive the vehicle. Installation of Solar panels on the roof top of Electric vehicle is proposed in this paper which helps to adopt the full range electric vehicles in near future. The proposed model is solar powered PHEV (SPPHEV) in which the vehicle battery gets charged with multiple energy sources specifically Power from Photo voltaic (PV), Grid power, Regenerative power and Engine power. Vehicle Control Unit is designed to standardize the flow of power from the energy sources available and also to monitor SOC (State of Charge) of the battery.

This article presents a frank and open opinion on the challenges that will be faced in moving towards an electric mass transport ecosystem. World over there is considerable research activity on electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles. There seems to be a global effort to move from an ICE driven ecosystem to electric vehicle ecosystem. There is no simple means to make this transition. This road is filled with hurdles and challenges. This paper poses and discusses these challenges and possible solutions for enabling EVs.

Abstract In recent years technology development for the design of electric and hybrid-electric vehicle systems has reached a peak, due to ever increasing restrictions on fuel economy and reduced vehicle emissions. An international race among car manufacturers to bring production hybrid-electric vehicles to market has generated a great deal of interest in the scientific community. The design of these systems requires development of new simulation and optimization tools. In this paper, a description of a real-time numerical environment for Virtual Proving Grounds studies for hybrid-electric vehicles is presented. Within this environment, vehicle models are developed using a recursive multibody dynamics formulation that results in a set of Differential-Algebraic Equations (DAE), and vehicle subsystem models are created using Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE). Based on engineering knowledge of vehicle systems, two time scales are identified. The first time scale, referred to as slow time scale, contains generalized coordinates describing the mechanical vehicle system that includs the chassis, steering rack, and suspension assemblies. The second time scale, referred to as fast time scale, contains the hybrid-electric powertrain components and vehicle tires. Multirate techniques to integrate the combined set of DAE and ODE in two time scales are used to obtain computational gains that will allow solution of the system’s governing equations for state derivatives, and efficient numerical integration in real time.

Subject. The article reviews various transport electrification scenarios, which would help reduce the CO2 emissions and environmental threats. The environmental and economic security can also be affected if the State insufficiently understands the importance of electric vehicle development, their popularization. It is also crucial to encourage the consumption, develop the infrastructure, innovative projects, which reshape the power engineering structure. Objectives. We determine how global trends influence the production and integration of electric vehicles in Russia. We also evaluate the environmental and cost effectiveness of morot vehicle electrification, opportunities and trajectories for the electric vehicle development nationwide. Methods. The study involves methods used to summarize regulatory, empirical and theoretical data, and general and partial scientific methods and techniques, such as abstraction, analysis, analogy, etc. Results. The article shows the extent of electric transport development worldwide, and focuses on environmental issues and opportunities to reduce the carbon footprint by using electric vehicles and renewable energy sources. We point out opportunities, threats, prospects and disadvantages of the electric vehicle use in Russia. The article indicates how the use of electric cars can be developed in Russia, considering changes in the production structure and the generation of positive effects as much as possible. Conclusions. Currently, Russia evidently lags behind the global production and use of electric cars, without having a priority of the carbon footprint reduction. The strategy for the car segment advancement is underdeveloped. Suggested herein, the ideas for the electric car segment development are aimed to encourage the consumption, production, advancement of infrastructure and innovative projects, and ensure the environmental security of the country.

Daily load demand for industrial, residential and commercial sectors are changing day by day. Also, inclusion of e-mobility has totally effected the operations of realistic power sector. Hence, to meet this time varying load demand with minimum production cost is very challenging. The proposed research work focuses on the mathematical formulation of profit based unit commitment problem of realistic power system considering the impact of battery electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles and plug in electric vehicles and its solution using Intensify Harris Hawks Optimizer (IHHO). The coordination of plants with each other is named as Unit commitment of plants in which the most economical patterns of the generating station is taken so as to gain low production cost with higher reliability. But with the increase in industrialization has affected the environment badly so to maintain the balance between the generation and environment a new thinking of generating low cost power with high reliability by causing less harm to environment i.e. less emission of flue gases is adopted by considering renewable energy sources.
