En este ensayo argumento que las memorias de la Revolución Sandinistas son imágenes del pasado que idealizan esa época y a la vez la desfamiliarizan. Esas memorias también hablan de otras historias que quizá no se expresan de forma articulada pero que nos ayudan a entender sociedades desiguales como la Nicaragüense. Narrar las memorias de la Revolución nos permite mantener esas narrativas en movimiento, proponiendo nuevos ejes desde donde entenderlas, con una mirada respetuosa y creativa.  Esta es una práctica descolonizadora.Palabras clave: Memoria. Campesinos. The stories we are toldAbstractIn this essay I argue that the memories of the Sandinista Revolution are images of the past that idealize and desfamiliarize that time. Those memories also touch on other stories, which might not express themselves in an articulated fashion, but which help us understand unequal societies, like the Nicaraguan. To narrate memories of the Revolution allow us to keep those narratives in movement, proposing new axis from where to understand them, through a respectful and creative gaze. El siguiente artículo ejemplifica con tres elementos del servicio de mesa (la olla, la fuente y el plato) las formas características en que se despliega la comensalidad en diferentes sectores de ingresos, sexos y edades, en Argentina. Diferencia las prácticas, los actores y los sentidos ligados al repartir y al compartir, en cada sector, señalando que el reparto es una obligación ligada a las jerarquías mientras que compartir es una elección libre y afectuosa basada en la amistad y la confianza de la cual se espera reciprocidad. Se señala que tal como muestran el asado y el mate en el pasado, se puede compartir tanto con el alimento más prestigioso (la carne asada) como sin comida: en la ronda del mate. Palabras clave: Comensalidad, ingresos, compartir, repartir, representaciones   Abstract Through the pot, the platter and the dish —three objects used at meal times— this article exemplifies typical ways of commensality in Argentina, among groups whose income, sex, and age differ. The article points to the differences between practices, actors, and senses involved in distributing and sharing in each sector. It shows that distribution is an obligation related to hierarchy, whereas sharing is a free, loving decision based on trust and friendship and that reciprocity is expected. As shown by asado and mate in the past, it is possible to share regardless of what is being shared. In the example, asado stands for prestigious meat done on a charcoal grill, whereas the mate circle is not about food. Key words: commensality, income, share, distribute, representations

A symposium on The Application of Computers to Ship Operations was held at the Department of Navigation, Liverpool Polytechnic, on 1, 2 and 3 March 1971.The symposium was introduced by the Head of the Department, Captain F. L. Main, who briefly reviewed the revolution in world shipping over the past twenty years involving great increases in tonnage, speed of vessels and traffic congestion, accompanied by a progressive reduction in manning scales. This had been made possible by automation and one of its logical consequences was the use of computers both at sea and in port administration. The aim of the symposium was to explore the potential of the digital computer in these fields, to define its possible limitations and to emphasize the need of adequate training for the personnel involved.Of the nine papers presented, four more directly concerned with the application of computers to navigational systems are printed below. Other papers dealt with the application of computers to cargo handling, ships' accountancy and port administration with particular reference to the recent experience of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board. Captain Holder and Captain Jones are both in the Marine Operations Research Unit at the Liverpool Polytechnic.

The increase in population size of the grey seal (Halichoerus grypus) off eastern Canada over the past 20 yr may be attributed to a decrease in shark stocks, their supposed predators. Reduction of the shark population is presumed to have resulted from a directed longline fishery and, of greater significance, from a change in the fishery for swordfish (Xiphias gladius) from selective harpooning to pelagic longlining, which has produced a large bycatch of sharks. The resulting enhanced survival of grey seals is reflected in greater infestation of commercially important fish species by the codworm (Phocanema decipiens).Key words: grey seals, harbour seals, sharks, swordfish, codworm, predation, fisheries

The article deals with the problems of introducing of time, time changes and the time-place relations as well. Artistic time is distinguished by belonging of an artistic time to the past in the artistic text, and in epos texts as well. In such kinds of texts one can meet with the changing of situations and various forms of substitutions of grammatical time. Speech moment can be used in defining of criteria for the present, past and the future times in epos texts. And speech moment is being connected with the physical time. Grammatical time comes into effect as a result of time pass components of physical time changings of course. Key words: time, place, epos, artistic time, grammatical time

Este artigo discute brevemente a questão da memória e da identidade e detémse na exposição de pesquisa realizada no final da década de 1990 que utilizou história oral e apoiou-se na memória das primeiras trabalhadoras que ingressaram no Banco do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul entre 1943-45, procurando construir a identidade do grupo em estudo. Abstract This article briefly argues the question of the memory and the identity and is lingered in the exposition of research carried through in the end of the decade of 1990 using verbal history, and it was supported in the memory of the first workers who had entered the BANRISUL between 1943-45, looking for to construct their identity of the group in study. After a period of comparative neglect, historians are re-examining the English Revolution of 1688 with revived interest and revised interpretation. In the past few decades numerous works have carefully re-investigated and often reinterpreted the roles played by such disparate groups as the Whigs, die nobility, the common people, and die urban mob, as well as by such leading individuals as die Earl of Sunderland, James II, and William of Orange. They have broadened our perspective of the Revolution by placing it in die wider context of European affairs and have persuasively demonstrated that die replacement of James II by William and Mary was justified most frequently and effectively not by John Locke's Two Treatises of Government, which was indeed composed prior to 1688, but by mat old relic from James I's reign, divine right of kings.

Resumen: Aunque en las ultimas décadas la historia militar ha logrado evolucionar y diversificar sus objetivos de análisis, todavía son muchos los estudiosos que identifican esta disciplina con el estudio del armamento y la narración de las batallas. Por ello, el objetivo de este trabajo es poner de relieve la importancia que tiene la historia militar como herramienta de análisis con la que poder comprender los fundamentos sociales y económicos de una determinada época. Para ello, nos serviremos del estudio de las campanas que tuvieron lugar en la frontera castellano-portuguesa en el contexto de la Guerra de Sucesión de 1475.Palabras clave: Guerra, historia militar, historiografía.Abstract: Although military history has managed to develop and diversify its areas of analysis over the past few decades, there are still many researchers who identify this discipline with the study of weaponry and description of battles. The aim of this project is therefore to highlight the importance of military history as a tool for analysis, which can be used to understand the social and economic foundations of any given era. To bear this out, we analyse campaigns on the Castilian-Portuguese border during the War of Succession of 1475.Key words: War, military history, historiography.

The authors of the revolutionary calendar, in particular Gilbert Romme and Fabre d’Églantine not only want to put the past behind by implicating a new time and new order but also try to prove the relation between history and nature using the example of the events of the Revolution and their compliance with the laws of the universe. They introduce an innovative nomenclature in order to specify the names of particular days and months but they do not change the natural four-season model of division. The goal of the presented idea is to enrich the natural cycle with a new content expressing the spirit and the objectives of the Republic while following the laws of nature.

- Spina 3 is the old district of Turin steel production, it is an area of more than 1 million square metres, which, over the past fifteen years, has gone through a transformation process that radically reversed the relationship between public and private properties, in favour of the first ones. The outcome appears to be a space where it was possible to play freely with its elements, but where, at the end, it was generated a hard space, where the tracks of the person who live there are struggling to settle. One of the consequences of the demise of the Grenada Revolution and the US invasion of Grenada in 1983 was the formation of a new political party architecture to break with the past to rid Grenada of the vestiges of the revolution and the Eric Gairy regime that preceded it. The new architecture was intended to transcend authoritarianism, intra-party conflict and political violence to turn Grenada into a showcase for democracy and free enterprise. This chapter maps the contours of party politics in post-revolutionary Grenada. It argues that Grenada has transitioned to formal democracy but has not yet achieved deeper substantive democracy. The chapter teases out lessons from the Grenada case for democratic renewal in the Caribbean.
