We present the induced intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging-weighted average (I-IFOWAWA) operator. It is a new aggregation operator that uses the intuitionistic fuzzy weighted average (IFWA) and the induced intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging (I-IFOWA) operator in the same formulation. We study some of its main properties and we have seen that it has a lot of particular cases such as the IFWA and the intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging (IFOWA) operator. We also study its applicability in a decision-making problem concerning strategic selection of investments. We see that depending on the particular type of I-IFOWAWA operator used, the results may lead to different decisions.

Different linguistic aggregation methods have been proposed and applied in the linguistic decision making problems. Generally, weights for experts or criteria are considered in linguistic aggregation processes. In this paper, we provide a method to discovery new forms to compute weights and new interpretations in the linguistic ordered weighted averaging operator. In linguistic decision analysis, it can be noticed that some of initial linguistic values used by experts have priority over others linguistic values in evaluation processes. We formalize the priority over initial linguistic values as weights for linguistic values, by considering weights for linguistic values as well as weights for experts, we provide an alternative method to discovery weights information of the linguistic ordered weighted averaging operator, its properties show that such linguistic aggregation operator is extensions of the 2-tuple arithmetic mean, the 2-tuple weighted aggregation operator and the 2-tuple ordered weighted averaging operator. By an illustrative example, we compare the linguistic aggregation operator with the 2-tuple weighted aggregation operator and the 2-tuple ordered weighted averaging operator in a decision making problem. From the practical point of view, we provide an optimization model to obtain such weights information in linguistic aggregation processes, examples show the linguistic aggregation operator as an alternative linguistic ordered weighted averaging operator in practice.

A new decision making model that uses the weighted average and the ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator in the Dempster-Shafer belief structure is presented. Thus, we are able to represent the decision making problem considering objective and subjective information and the attitudinal character of the decision maker. For doing so, we use the ordered weighted averaging – weighted average (OWAWA) operator. It is an aggregation operator that unifies the weighted average and the OWA in the same formulation. This approach is generalized by using quasi-arithmetic means and group decision making techniques. An application of the new approach in a group decision making problem concerning political management of a country is also developed.

This paper studies intuitionistic fuzzy (IF) decision making problems using an integrated approach. Firstly, an IF induced generalized ordered weighted averaging distance (IFIGOWAD) operator is introduced, that covers numerous IF aggregations distance operators. Then, two more generalized operators named IF quasi induced OWAD (Quasi-IFIOWAD) and IF induced generalized hybrid average distance (IFIGHAD) operator are presented. Furthermore, a new method using above operators is introduced to IF decision making problem and online trade systems. Finally, two real cases are present to show the effect of the method.

Pythagorean fuzzy soft set (PFSS) is the most influential and operative extension of the Pythagorean fuzzy set (PFS), which contracts with the parametrized standards of the substitutes. It is also a generalized form of the intuitionistic fuzzy soft set (IFSS) and delivers a well and accurate estimation in the decision-making (DM) procedure. The primary purpose is to prolong and propose ideas related to Einstein’s ordered weighted aggregation operator from fuzzy to PFSS, comforting the condition that the sum of the degrees of membership function and nonmembership function is less than one and the sum of the squares of the degree of membership function and nonmembership function is less than one. We present a novel Pythagorean fuzzy soft Einstein ordered weighted averaging (PFSEOWA) operator based on operational laws for Pythagorean fuzzy soft numbers. Furthermore, some essential properties such as idempotency, boundedness, and homogeneity for the proposed operator have been presented in detail. The choice of a sustainable supplier is also examined as an essential part of sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) and is considered a crucial multiattribute group decision-making (MAGDM) issue. In some MAGDM problems, the relationship between alternatives and uncertain environments will be the main reason for deficient consequences. We have presented a novel aggregation operator for PFSS information to choose sustainable suppliers to cope with those complex issues. The Pythagorean fuzzy soft number (PFSN) helps to represent the obscure information in such real-world perspectives. The priority relationship of PFSS details is beneficial in coping with SSCM. The proposed method’s effectiveness is proved by comparing advantages, effectiveness, and flexibility among the existing studies.

A new method for decision making that uses the ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator in the aggregation of the information is presented. It is used a concept that it is known in the literature as the index of maximum and minimum level (IMAM). This index is based on distance measures and other techniques that are useful for decision making. By using the OWA operator in the IMAM, we form a new aggregation operator that we call the ordered weighted averaging index of maximum and minimum level (OWAIMAM) operator. The main advantage is that it provides a parameterized family of aggregation operators between the minimum and the maximum and a wide range of special cases. Then, the decision maker may take decisions according to his degree of optimism and considering ideals in the decision process. A further extension of this approach is presented by using hybrid averages and Choquet integrals. We also develop an application of the new approach in a multi-person decision-making problem regarding the selection of strategies.

ERP system is a software package that integrates and manages all the facets of the business and deeply influences the success of a business endeavor. The increasing competition in the market, rapidly changing demands, and increasing intricacy of business procedures induce enterprises to adopt ERP solutions. Adopting an ERP solution increases synchronization between business activities and reinforces managerial decision-making. However, it also involves a large investment, a significant amount of human resources and time, and risk of failure. Therefore, the selection of an ERP solution is a crucial decision for enterprises. To address this decision-making problem, we propose a four-stage multi-criteria decision-making approach in this paper. Three prevalent MCDM techniques, DEMATEL, IF-ANP, and IF-AHP, are used in different stages of the methodology to achieve better outcomes. The methodology incorporates the intuitionistic fuzzy sets to capture uncertainty and hesitancy involved in decision makers’ judgments. In addition, we develop a novel priority method to derive weights from the intuitionistic fuzzy preference relations. To validate the feasibility of the proposed approach, a case study is carried out on the selection of cloud-based ERP system for SMEs in the Chhattisgarh state of India, which indicates that the proposed four-stage approach effectively handles the ERP selection problem.

The induced ordered weighted averaging distance (IOWAD) approach is very suitable in situations in which the available information is represented with exact numerical values. In this paper, we develop some extended IOWAD operators: the linguistic induced ordered weighted averaging distance (LIOWAD) operator, the uncertain induced ordered weighted averaging distance (UIOWAD) operator and the fuzzy induced ordered weighted averaging distance (FIOWAD) operator. Their main objective is to assess uncertain situations in which the available information is given in the form of linguistic variables, interval numbers and fuzzy numbers. Some special cases of these three new extensions are studied. Finally, we develop an application of the new operators in a group decision-making problem under an uncertain environment and illustrate it with a numerical example.

In this paper, we present the intuitionistic fuzzy generalized probabilistic ordered weighted averaging (IFGPOWA) operator. It is a new aggregation operator that uses generalized means in a unified model between the probability and the OWA operator. The main advantage of this new operator is that it is able to deal with probabilities (objective information) and ordered weighted averages (subjective information) in the same formulation. Moreover, it is also able to deal with uncertain environments that can be assessed with intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. Furthermore, it uses generalized means providing a very general formulation that includes a wide range of situations. We study some of its main properties and particular cases such as the generalized intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging (GIFOWA) operator and intuitionistic fuzzy probabilistic ordered weighted averaging (IFPOWA) operator. We end the paper by applying the new operator to a group decision making problem concerning the selection of investments.

Abstract In this paper, a logarithmic operational law for intuitionistic fuzzy numbers is defined, in which the based1 is a real number such that1 ∈(0,1) with condition1 ≠ 1. Some properties of logarithmic operational laws have been studied and based on these, several Einstein averaging and Einstein geometric operators namely, logarithmic intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein weighted averaging (LIFEWA) operator, logarithmic intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein ordered weighted averaging (LIFEOWA) operator, logarithmic intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein hybrid averaging (LIFEHA) operator, logarithmic intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein weighted geometric (LIFEWG) operator, logarithmic intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein ordered weighted geometric (LIFEOWG) operator, and logarithmic intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein hybrid geometric (LIFEHG) operator have been introduced, which can overcome the weaknesses of algebraic operators. Furthermore, based on the proposed operators a multi-attribute group decision-making problem is established under logarithmic operational laws. Finally, an illustrative example is used to illustrate the applicability and validity of the proposed approach and compare the results with the existing methods to show the effectiveness of it.
