The treatment of inflammatory arthritis has been revolutionised by the introduction of biologic treatments. Many biologic agents are currently licensed for use in both paediatric and adult patients with inflammatory arthritis and contribute to improved disease outcomes compared with the pre-biologic era. However, immunogenicity to biologic agents, characterised by an immune reaction leading to the production of anti-drug antibodies (ADAs), can negatively impact the therapeutic efficacy of biologic drugs and induce side effects to treatment. This review explores for the first time the impact of immunogenicity against all licensed biologic treatments currently used in inflammatory arthritis across age, and will examine any significant differences between ADA prevalence, titres and timing of development, as well as ADA impact on therapeutic drug levels, clinical efficacy and side effects between paediatric and adult patients. In addition, we will investigate factors associated with differences in immunogenicity across biologic agents used in inflammatory arthritis, and their potential therapeutic implications.

In this pandemic era, beauty vloggers play a significant role, influencing consumer preferences and attitudes. This paper seeks to determine the impact of Reference Groups by beauty vloggers on the purchasing decisions by female students involving skin care products who follow beauty vloggers in Bekasi. The study uses correlational quantitative research, and the objective is to see the extent to which variations in a variable are related to one or more other variables based on the correlation coefficient. The respondent pool was comprised of 100 female students, obtained via purposive sampling. The results showed a significance of 0.000 <0.05. The value of R2 (R square) 0.290 shows the effect of X variable (reference groups) on Y variable (purchase decision) by 29%. The conclusion of this research is that beauty vloggers significantly influence the decision to buy skin care products. Keywords: Beauty Vloggers, Purchase Decision, Reference Groups

Skincare business in Indonesia has been growing enormously in the last decade, with the coming of international brands and the struggling of local brands, to win the Indonesian customers. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of country of origin to purchase decision through the brand image, and the impact of country of origin on customer satisfaction for local Indonesian skin care brands. As this research is using the quantitative approach, the data are collected by using questionnaires which are distributed to selected samples of 179 respondents. The respondents are chosen from the consumers of Indonesian brands of skin care products. The data are analyzed with SmartPLS software. The results show that the country of origin has a positive influence to purchase decision, the country of origin has a positive influence on brand image, brand image has a positive influence on purchase decision, and, finally, brand image has a positive influence on customer satisfaction on local Indonesian brands of skin care products.

Purpose: As many as 50% of patients with cancer develop acute skin reactions to some degree with radiotherapy. Proactive skin care is often recommended to minimise these skin reactions and maintain the integrity of the epidermal barrier; nevertheless, no consensual guidelines are systematically used. This multicentre, observational, prospective study evaluated the tolerability and benefit of supportive and barrier protective skin care products in preventing radiotherapy-induced skin reactions in 253 women initiating radiotherapy (exclusive or adjuvant) for breast cancer. Methods: Patients received a kit of 5 commercially available skin care products before the first radiotherapy treatment. The following variables were assessed: cutaneous adverse events, investigator-assessed skin reactions (oedema, erythema, dryness, desquamation) before and after radiotherapy course, investigator, and patient opinion on products benefit. Results were analysed by frequency of product use (heavy versus low). Results: Average age was 60 years (range: 34-85). Over 92% of patients reported good to excellent tolerance on irradiated skin for each product. During the 6-week radiotherapy period, we observed that heavy product users had less skin reactions than the low users, particularly within 10 days of radiotherapy initiation (8% versus 18%; p = .031). Positive physician’s opinion on product use was more frequent for high (66.6%) versus low (32%) users. Patient-assessed patient benefit index was generally >1, indicating relevant treatment benefit, with a tendency for better benefit in high versus low users. Conclusions: These results support recommendations to use skin care products to minimise the impact of secondary cutaneous reactions with radiotherapy cancer treatment.

Puffballs are fungi that produce globose fruiting bodies that undergo autolysis, transforming their insides into a spore bearing, powdery mass. Mature fruiting bodies are traditionally used to treat open skin wounds. In this study, methanol extracts of two puffball species, Handkea excipuliformis and Vascellum pratense, were examined and compared in order to provide insight into the changes these mushrooms undergo during maturation, with respect to their potential use in skin care and wound treatment. Some compounds involved in skin care and regeneration were quantified, and it was found that maturation increases the concentrations of almost all of these compounds. Antioxidant activity was also more pronounced in mature fruiting body extracts, which was in correlation with the higher content of antioxidants. Tyrosinase inhibition was vastly improved with autolysis, correlating with the higher phenolic content in mature fruiting body extracts. Antimicrobial activity was negatively affected by autolysis in the case of H. excipuliformis, whereas autolysis had little effect on the antimicrobial activity of V. pratense. Autolysis generally improved the biological activity and increased the concentrations of compounds involved in skin care, which justifies the traditional use of puffballs and makes them good candidates for various potential cosmetic and medicinal skin-care products.
