In economic construction, there are many large and important machinery and equipment. Some equipment will continue to work in a harsh working environment, so many and various failures will occur. Rolling bearings are one of the widely used parts in rotating machinery. They are generally composed of inner ring, outer ring, rolling element and holding. The frame is composed of four parts, the failure of the bearing is particularly important, and its safe operation has a vital impact on the entire equipment, Feature extraction is the key link in the subsequent identification of fault types, Although feature extraction in the time domain and frequency domain is effective, it is also necessary to find new feature extraction methods in new areas. On the basis of the snowflake image obtained by using the principle of SDP(Symmetrized Dot Pattern), a method for extracting fault features of rolling bearings based on image processing is proposed, and the snowflake standard map for different working conditions is constructed. The number of snowflake images under different working conditions is different. The binary matrix of the test image is compared with it, and then classified and identified. Finally, the algorithm is validated, and the ideal result is obtained to verify its rationality and effectiveness.

To solve the problem that the bearing fault of variable working conditions is challenging to identify and classify in the industrial field, this paper proposes a new method based on optimization of multidimension fault energy characteristics and integrates with an improved least-squares support vector machine (LSSVM). First, because the traditional wavelet energy feature is difficult to effectively reflect the characteristics of rolling bearing under different working conditions, based on analyzing the wavelet energy feature extraction in detail, a collaborative method of multidimension fault energy feature extraction combined with the method of Transfer Component Analysis (TCA) is constructed, which improves the discrimination between the different features and the compactness between the same features of rolling bearing faults. Then, for solving the problem of the local optimal of particle swarm optimization (PSO) in fault diagnosis and recognition of rolling bearing, an improved LSSVM based on particle swarm optimization and wavelet mutation optimization is established to realize the collaborative optimization and adjustment of LSSVM dynamic parameters. Based on the improved LSSVM and optimization of multidimensional energy characteristics, a new method for fault diagnosis of rolling bearing is designed. Finally, the simulation and analysis of the proposed algorithm are verified by the experimental data of different working conditions. The experimental results show that this method can effectively extract the multidimensional fault characteristics under variable working conditions and has a high fault recognition rate.

For the situation that it is difficult to diagnose rolling bearings fault effectively for small samples, so it proposes a feature extraction method of rolling bearing based on local mean decomposition (LMD) energy feature. Due to the frequency domain distribution of vibration signals will change when different faults occur in rolling bearings, so it can use LMD energy feature method to extract the fault features of rolling bearings. The instances analysis and extracted results show that the LMD energy feature can extract the vibration signal fault feature of rolling bearings effectively.

Since the working process of rolling bearings is a complex and nonstationary dynamic process, the common time and frequency characteristics of vibration signals are submerged in the noise. Thus, it is the key of fault diagnosis to extract the fault feature from vibration signal. Therefore, a fault feature extraction method for the rolling bearing based on the local mean decomposition (LMD) and envelope demodulation is proposed. Firstly, decompose the original vibration signal by LMD to get a series of production functions (PFs). Then dispose the envelope demodulation analysis on PF component. Finally, perform Fourier Transform on the demodulation signals and judge failure condition according to the dominant frequency of the spectrum. The results show that the proposed method can correctly extract the fault characteristics to diagnose faults.

In this article, a new method of pattern recognition for machine working conditions is presented that is based on time-frequency image (TFI) feature extraction and support vector machines (SVMs). In this study, the Hilbert time-frequency spectrum (HTFS) is used to construct TFIs because of its good performance in non-stationary and non-linear signal analysis. Cyclostationarity signal analysis is a pre-processing method for improving the performance of the HTFS in the construction of TFIs. Feature extraction for TFIs is investigated in detail to construct a feature vector for pattern recognition. Gravity centre and information entropy of TFIs are used to construct the feature vector for pattern recognition. SVMs are used for different working conditions classification by the constructed feature vector because of its powerful performance even for small samples. In the end, rolling bearing pattern recognition is used as an example to testify the effectiveness of this method. According to the result analysis, it can be concluded that this method will contribute to the development of preventative maintenance.

The stochastic resonance (SR) method is widely applied to fault feature extraction of rotary machines, which is capable of improving the weak fault detection performance by energy transformation through the potential well function. The potential well functions are mostly set fixed to reduce computational complexity, and the SR methods with fixed potential well parameters have better performances in stable working conditions. When the fault frequency changes in variable working conditions, the signal processing effect becomes different with fixed parameters, leading to errors in fault detection. In this paper, an underdamped second-order adaptive general variable-scale stochastic resonance (USAGVSR) method with potential well parameters’ optimization is put forward. For input signals with different fault frequencies, the potential well parameters related to the barrier height are figured out and optimized through the ant colony algorithm. On this basis, further optimization is carried out on undamped factor and step size for better fault detection performance. Cases with diverse fault types and in different working conditions are studied, and the performance of the proposed method is validated through experiments. The results testify that this method has better performances of weak fault feature extraction and can accurately identify different fault types in the input signals. The method proves to be effective in the weak fault extraction and classification and has a good application prospect in rolling bearings’ fault feature recognition.

It is very important that study the feature parameter extraction of bad point of wheat seeds based on image processing for judging the quality of wheat. Using image processing extract and analyze the collected images information, and based on the collected information analyze the bad point information of wheat seed, then extract the feature parameters. Traditional bad point’s feature extraction methods are completed by the manual operation, and the efficient is lower. Currently, by means of image processing technology can extract the bad point’s feature of wheat seed automatically. To this end, the research status of seed feature extraction based on image processing are reviewed and prospected. Experiments show that the method can better complete the bad point’s feature automatic extraction and recognition of wheat seeds.

Correctly identifying human activities is very significant in modern life. Almost all feature extraction methods are based directly on acceleration and angular velocity. However, we found that some activities have no difference in acceleration and angular velocity. Therefore, we believe that for these activities, any feature extraction method based on acceleration and angular velocity is difficult to achieve good results. After analyzing the difference of these indistinguishable movements, we propose several new features to improve accuracy of recognition. We compare the traditional features and our custom features. In addition, we examined whether the time-domain features and frequency-domain features based on acceleration and angular velocity are different. The results show that (1) our custom features significantly improve the precision of the activities that have no difference in acceleration and angular velocity; and (2) the combination of time-domain features and frequency-domain features does not significantly improve the recognition of different activities.

Traffic signs are an important feature in providing safety information for drivers about road conditions. Recognition of traffic signs can reduce the burden on drivers remembering signs and improve safety. One solution that can reduce these violations is by building a system that can recognize traffic signs as reminders to motorists. The process applied to traffic sign detection is image processing. Image processing is an image processing and analysis process that involves a lot of visual perception. Traffic signs can be detected and recognized visually by using a camera as a medium for retrieving information from a traffic sign. The layout of different traffic signs can affect the identification process. Several studies related to the detection and recognition of traffic signs have been carried out before, one of the problems that arises is the difficulty in knowing the kinds of traffic signs. This study proposes a combination of region and corner point feature extraction methods. Based on the test results obtained an accuracy value of 76.2%, a precision of 67.3 and a recall value of 78.6.
