Individu bertemu untuk saling berinteraksi, adanya interaksi menjadi dasar ketertarikan pada seseorang. Interpersonal attraction biasanya didasarkan pada teori sosial, namun bagaimana para ahli dalam aliran-aliran lain memandang ketertarikan dalam aliran lain, seperti pandangan perkembangan dan kognitif memandang interpersonal attraction. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep interpersonal attraction dari reviu jurnal-jurnal penelitian sebelumnya dengan beberapa perspektif teori. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan reviu dari 12 literatur dengan rentang tahun 2010 hingga 2020 dan jurnal diperoleh dari bebrapa situs web resmi Google Scholar, Research Gate, Jstor, dan Social Science. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsep interpesonal attraction dapat diartikan dengan arah positif maupun arah negatif, pengaruh kehadiran emosi individu yang positif dapat memberikan penilaian positif terhadap orang lain, begitupun sebaliknya. Selain daripada kehadiran emosi individu, terdapat hal-hal lain seperti, atraksi, perbandingan sosial, kenyamanan, kecocokan kepribadian dan juga exposure. Perilaku kita lebih menyukai orang lain dalam interpersonal attraction dapat dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan dan intensitas dari interaksi.

EDITORIALEste quinto volume de 2015 é escrito com o espirito das comemorações dos 106 anos do Instituto Federal do Rio Grande do Norte e da chegada da primavera. As flores no hemisfério sul exalam esperanças para contrastar com as dificuldades do diálogo político-social.Neste número apresentamos parte do sítio do periódico em inglês para facilitar àqueles que desejam acessá-la, bem como submeter suas colaborações em língua inglesa. Este esforço objetiva a internacionalização e a elevação dos acessos ao periódico advindos de outros países.  Desejamos ampliar os downloads e as publicações de artigos de pesquisadores do exterior e em língua inglesa.Os indicadores nacionais e internacionais são importantes para balizar estratégias de condução da politica editorial. Assim, o Ranking Web of Universities, publicado recentemente apresenta um avanço de 12 posições do IFRN que tem reflexos nos indicadores da presença da HOLOS (indexadores, índices do Google Scholar, entre outros).Importantes também são os resultados preliminares do Qualis da CAPES, recentemente divulgados, onde o periódico recebe B1 nas áreas de Educação e Planejamento Urbano e Regional & Demografia. Este resultado posiciona o periódico para a indexação em bases importantes, inclusive com critérios para a inclusão na base Scielo.O periódico passou a integrar a Plataforma do Norwegian Social Science Data Services (NSD) através do ERIH PLUS - https://dbh.nsd.uib.no/publiseringskanaler/erihplus/periodical/info.action?id=487154.Informo que da publicação do último número no início de agosto até a presente data, o periódico teve o acesso de 19.250 usuários, os quais visualizaram 75.250 páginas, com duração média de 2:32 minutos medidos pelo GoogleAnalytics. O Brasil representa 95,7% do acesso, seguido por Portugal (0,58%), Índia (0,51%), Moçambique (0,31%), USA (0,38%), Espanha (0,37%), México (0,20%), França (0,14%), entre outros. Entre os estados brasileiros, os principais acessos são oriundos dos Estados de São Paulo, Rio Grande do Norte, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Ceará, Bahia, Pernambuco e Santa Catarina.Esta quinto volume apresenta 33 artigos de várias áreas do conhecimento, afirmando o caráter interdisciplinar do periódico e sua inserção em várias área de avaliação do Qualis da CAPES.O tempo é de inovar para consolidar as ações editoriais de longo prazo e com este objetivo o Conselho Editorial é ampliado com a presença de docentes da Universidade de São Paulo (prof. Maurício Bergerman), da Universidade Federal de Alfenas (profa. Daniela Gomes Horta), da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (prof. Gesinaldo Ataíde Cândido) e da Universidade do Minho (prof. This chapter investigates the allegation that popular online search engine Google applies algorithms to personalise search results therefore yielding different results for the exact same search terms. It specifically examines whether the same alleged filter bubble applies to Google's academic product: Google Scholar. It reports the results from an exploratory experiment of nine keywords carried out for this purpose, varying variables such as disciplines (Natural Science, Social Science and Humanities), geographic locations (north/south), and levels (senior/junior researchers). It also reports a short survey on academic search behaviour. The finding suggests that while Google Scholar, together with Google, has emerged as THE dominant search engine among the participants of this study, the alleged filter bubble is only mildly observable. The Jaccard similarity of search results for all nine keywords is strikingly high, with only one keyword that exhibits a localized bubble at 95% level. This chapter therefore concludes that the filter bubble phenomenon does not warrant concern.

Ilmu sosial mempunyai peranan penting dalam pengembangan kajian pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS), diantaranya seperti geografi, sejarah, sosiologi, ekonomi, psikologi, antropologi, dan politik. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana keterkaitan ilmu sosial dalam pengembangan kajian pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS). Desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa studi literatur. Strategi penelusuran data menggunakan berbagai buku, ebook, dan jurnal melalui platform google scholar dengan penelusuran melalui kata kunci terpilih. Hasil penelitian mendeskripsikan bahwa bidang ilmu sosial memiliki keterkaitan dalam kajian pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS). Materi Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) didasarkan atas dukungan konsep dari disiplin ilmu sosial, dalam bentuk tema-tema yang relevan dengan tujuan pembelajaran IPS diantaranya: waktu, keberlanjutan dan perubahan, manusia tempat dan lingkungan, produksi distribusi dan konsumsi, individu masyarakat dan institusi, budaya dan keragaman budaya, kekuasaan kewenangan dan pemerintahan, perkembangan individu dan identitas. Ilmu sosial berkontribusi untuk pengembangan program pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS).

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Solving dan Group Investigation terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran Matematika siswa SD. Metode penelitian ini adalah meta-analisis. Penelitian dimulai dengan dengan merumuskan masalah penelitian dan menguji hasil penelitian yang relevan untuk dianalisis. Data dikumpulkan dengan menelusuri artikel dan jurnal dengan menggunakan Google Scholar. Hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa model pembelajaran Group Investigation memiliki peningkatan lebih tinggi dibandingkan model pembelajaran Problem Solving, yakni 15,90% dan 14,06%. Data dianalisis dan diolah menggunakan program Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Problem Solving dan Group Investigation tidak memiliki perbedaan signifikan dengan nilai Sig. > 0,05 dan memiliki kualitas yang sama dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran Problem Solving dan Group Investigation terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SD dalam pembelajaran Matematika.

The education of researchers in Sweden is regulated by a nationwide reform implemented in 1969, which intended to limit doctoral programs to 4 years without diminishing quality. In an audit performed by the government in 1996, however, it was concluded that the reform had failed. Some 80% of the doctoral students admitted had dropped out, and only 1% finished their PhD degree within the stipulated 4 years. In an attempt to determine the causes of this situation, we singled out a social-science department at a major Swedish university and interviewed those doctoral students who had dropped out of the program. This department was found to be representative of the nationwide figures found in the audit. The students interviewed had all completed at least 50% of their PhD studies and had declared themselves as dropouts from this department. We conclude that the entire research education was characterized by a laissez-faire attitude where supervisors were nominated but abdicated. To correct this situation, we suggest that a learning alliance should be established between the supervisor and the student. At the core of the learning alliance is the notion of mutually forming a platform form which work can emerge in common collaboration. The learning alliance implies a contract for work, stating its goals, the tasks to reach these goals, and the interpersonal bonding needed to give force and endurance to the endeavor. Constant scrutiny of this contract and a mutual concern for the learning alliance alone can contribute to its strength.
