This research is based on the low competence of biology learners learners. Factors that affect the low competence of learners learning is the process of learning by teachers and learners in the classroom is still centered on the teacher, the lack of interaction between students with teachers, and learning competence of learners has not been achieved in accordance with minimal mastery criteria (KKM). The purpose of this research is to know the influence of predictor learning model explain explain observe discuss explain (PDEODE) containing science literacy to learners' competence in the subjects of biology class X SMAN 1 2X11 Kayutanam. This research is a quasi experimental research with randomized control group design posstest only design. Sampling from population using purposive sampling technique that class X1 as experiment class and class X3 as control class. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is t test. Learning competencies analyzed are learning competence in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects with environmental change materials. The results showed that the average value of posstest learning competence on the cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of the experimental class students higher than the control class. So it can be concluded that the application of predictor learning explain explain observe discuss explain (PDEODE) model of science literacy improves the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learners' competence in the material of environmental change.

This study aimed to describe the effect of problem-based learning on students' critical thinking skills and scientific literacy. This research is a quasi-experimental study with pre-test-post test control group design. Sampling was done by saturated sampling technique in which the experimental class consisted of 35 students and the control class was 34 students. Data on critical thinking skills and student scientific literacy were collected using test instruments which were then analyzed descriptively and statistically. The results showed that the Problem-based Learning model had more effect on students’ critical thinking and scientific literacy (p <0.05) than conventional learning models applied to the control class. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Problem-based Learning model significantly effect on students’ critical thinking and science literacy in class XI MAN 1 Mataram.

The success of students in dealing with the globalization era of scientific literacy needs to be supported by practising skills, one of the skills that must be mastered by students in the science process skills and scientific questioning skills. This study aims to determine the implementation of the question webs based learning model of learning to improve science process skills and scientific questioning skills in grade X students at SMAN 1 Darul Imarah using a quasi-experimental method with nonequivalent control group design. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique which was then divided into experimental and control groups. The data were collected from pretest and posttest scores which were then tested based on N-gain values. The results showed that the score of science process skills and scientific questioning skills of experimental class students obtained higher mean scores than control class mean scores. Statistically, it can be seen that testing the results of tests using the t-test 4.507 for science process skills and 29.79 for scientific questioning skills with a significant difference. The conclusion of this study shows that the question web-based learning model improve science process skills and scientific questioning skills compared to conventional models.

Problems of the research that exist at SMA Negeri 1 Baso, student learning competencies were still low. The effort that can be done was to apply the cooperative learning model with the PQ4R type with science literacy content of  SMA Negeri 1 Baso. The purpose of this research was to study student learning through a cooperative model of PQ4R type with science literacy content at SMA Negeri 1 Baso. This type of research was  experimental research with randomized posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students of class X MIPA SMA 1 Baso registered in 2018/2019. Sampling was done using the Simple purposive Sampling technique, which was chosen as the research samples were class X MIPA 1 as the experimental class and X MIPA 3 as the control class. The instrument used consisted of posttest questions for knowledge competency, observation sheets for students attitudes and skills. The assessment hypothesis using the t-test, can prove the knowledge competency tcount 4.09> ttable1.67, competency assessment value 86% with very good categories for experimemt class  and 58% with enough categories for control class. Competency of skill value tcount 3.55> ttable 1.67. This was an accepted hypothesis. Thus, It was concluded that the cooperative model of PQ4R type with science literacy content improve the competency of knowledge, attitude, and skill of class X MIPA students of SMA Negeri 1 Baso.

This study aims to determine how the influence of the 3C3R learning model (Content, Context, Connection, Reading, Reasoning, Reflecting) on students' literacy skills after learning in the concept of interaction between living things and the environment. The sample of this study was grade VII students in SMP Negeri 13 Kota Sukabumi which were taken using a pusposive sampling technique with 24 students in the experimental class and 25 students in the control class. The instrument of this research is a matter of testing scientific literacy skills. This type of research is Quasi Experimental with a non equivalent control group design research design. The data analysis technique uses the t test with a significance level of α 0.05. The results of the t test show (tcount 6.845> ttable 2.051) so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there are significant differences in students' scientific literacy skills between the experimental class and the control group. So it can be concluded that the 3C3R learning model influences students' scientific literacy abilities.

The involvement of students in the learning process of physics at school is not optimal. In the learning process new innovations are needed to support students to be active, one of  the application, the Teams Game Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model can be used. This type of research is quasi experimental research, with the posttest only control group design research design. Sampling is done by cluster random sampling technique. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that for the cognitive domain, the average for learning outcomes in the experimental class was 67.37 while the control class was 57.13. In the affective domain in the form of student activities during the learning process, it was obtained on average for the 57.43 experiment class while the control class 49.8 later, the results of hypothesis testing using two-party t test obtained t_count = 3.28 and t_table = 1.67 where 3 28> 1.67 then the hypothesis is accepted. This study shows that the learning outcomes of physics with the TGT cooperative learning model accompanied by quizzes are better than the results of students' physics learning using conventional learning in class VIII IPA Optical Instruments in SMP 28 Padang

This study was aimed to know the effect of problem-based learning model on the ability of students scientific literacy in reaction rate material. Scientific literacy that is examined in this study only on competency dimension of science. This research was conducted at SMAN 8 South TangerangCity. The method used was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The sample was taken byusing purposive sampling technique. The data was taken by using an essay test of scientific literacy ability in competency dimension of science. The analysis of data used is t-test that obtained tcountvalue totaled 8.27 and ttable on significant level0.05is 1.99, so that thetcount>ttable. So we can concludethat Ho was refuse. This indicatesthatthe application of problem-based learning model provides a significant impact on the ability of students scientific literacy in reaction rate material. Research on the effect of the problem-based learning model in the basic laws of chemistry on student’s learning outcomes in class X MAN 2 Model Palu has been done. This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of the problem-based learning model in the basic laws of chemistry on student’s learning outcomes in class X MAN 2 Model Palu. The type of research was a quasi-experimental study non-randomized design with pretest-posttest control group design. The sample was conducted with a purposive sampling technique. The study sample was students in class X MIA 6 as an experimental group (n = 22) and students in class X MIA 3 as a control group (n = 22). The data testing of students' learning outcomes used a non-parametric statistical analysis, the analysis of Mann-Whitney U-Test. The research results indicated that the mean value of the experiment class was high compared to the control class, 22.61 >18.39. The statistical analysis obtained that sig. 2-tailed (0,032) ˂ 0.05 and Zcalculation (-2.149) ˂ Ztable (-1.96). The average value of the experiment class was 82.95 while the average value of the control class was 73.64. So it can be concluded that there is the effect of applying the problem-based learning model in the basic laws of chemistry on student’s learning outcomes.
