The article presented an analysis of the selection of bracket screws using classical, analytical calculation methods and using the Inventor generator. The operation and functionality of the generator calculation module are discussed. Its imperfections, simplifications and perceived errors were pointed out. Its usefulness in the construction process was assessed.

In this contribution, measurement data of phase, neutral, and ground currents from real low voltage (LV) feeders in Germany is presented and analyzed. The data obtained is used to review and evaluate common modeling approaches for LV systems. An alternative modeling approach for detailed cable and ground modeling, which allows for the consideration of typical German LV earthing conditions and asymmetrical cable design, is proposed. Further, analytical calculation methods for model parameters are described and compared to laboratory measurement results of real LV cables. The models are then evaluated in terms of parameter sensitivity and parameter relevance, focusing on the influence of conventionally performed simplifications, such as neglecting house junction cables, shunt admittances, or temperature dependencies. By comparing measurement data from a real LV feeder to simulation results, the proposed modeling approach is validated.

In this work, we study how the selection of examples affects the learning procedure in a boolean neural network and its relationship with the complexity of the function under study and its architecture. We analyze the generalization capacity for different target functions with particular architectures through an analytical calculation of the minimum number of examples needed to obtain full generalization (i.e., zero generalization error). The analysis of the training sets associated with such parameter leads us to propose a general architecture-independent criterion for selection of training examples. The criterion was checked through numerical simulations for various particular target functions with particular architectures, as well as for random target functions in a nonoverlapping receptive field perceptron. In all cases, the selection sampling criterion lead to an improvement in the generalization capacity compared with a pure random sampling. We also show that for the parity problem, one of the most used problems for testing learning algorithms, only the use of the whole set of examples ensures global learning in a depth two architecture. We show that this difficulty can be overcome by considering a tree-structured network of depth 2 log2(N) – 1.

A scheme of a statically determinate planar truss is proposed and an analytical calculation of its deflection and displacement of the mobile support are obtained. The forces in the rods from the external load, uniformly distributed over the nodes of the lower or upper belt, are determined by the method of cutting out nodes using the computer mathematic system Maple. In the generalization of a number of solutions of trusses with a different number of panels to the general case, the general terms of the sequence of coefficients in the formulas are found from solutions of linear homogeneous recurrence equations. To compose and solve these equations, Maple operators were used. In the process of calculation it was revealed that for even numbers of panels in half the span, the determinant of the system of equations degenerates. This corresponds to the kinematic degeneracy of the structure. The corresponding scheme of possible speeds of the truss is given. The displacement was determined by the Maxwell-Mohr’s formula. The graphs of the obtained dependences have appreciable jumps, which in principle can be used in the selection of optimal design sizes.

The article discussed the roller bearings selection of the shaft using the Inventor accelerator. The operation of the rolling bearing genera-tor is described. Calculation module of the generator is presented. The calculations made using calculation module, were verified by comparing them with the results of analytical calculations. The analysis of the proposed solution was carried out.

The aim of this study was to compare different calculation methods to determine lipophilicity, expressed as logP value, of seven ACE inhibitors (enalapril, quinapril, fosinopril, lisinopril, cilazapril, ramipril, and benazapril) with significantly different structure. Experimentally determined n-octanol/water partition coefficients, logPO/W values, were obtained from relevant literature. The correlations between all collected logP values were studied and the best agreements between calculated logP and experimentally determined logPO/W values, were observed for KOWWINlogP or MilogP values (r = 0.999 or r = 0.974, respectively). The correlations between all collected logP values and chromatographically (reversed-phase thin-layer chromatography) obtained hydrophobicity parameters, RM0 and C0, were established. The good correlations (r > 0.90) were obtained in the majority of relationships. The KOWWINlogP was established as the most suitable hydrophobicity parameter of investigated group of ACE inhibitors with r = 0.981 for correlation with RM0 and r = 0.977 for correlation with C0 parameters (water-methanol mobile phase). Using multiple linear regressions, it was established that application of two selected logP, calculated by different mathematical approaches, led to very good correlation due to the benefits of both calculation methods. The good relationships indicate that the computed logP, with careful selection of method calculation, can be useful in ACE inhibitors lipophilicity evaluation, as high-throughput screening technique.

Abstract Integrated construction processes are stochastic systems. For these cases a computer simulation is used. This paper presents the design and construction of an integrated construction process, i.e., the production-transportation-consumption of fresh concrete. When creating a model in an Extend v4, modelling techniques and a general knowledge of construction are used. Data obtained from actual processes is used for the model parameters and input variables. The main contribution is a simulation model developed for the process for the optimization and selection of variants. This approach complements the heuristic methods of the assessment of construction processes and exact methods, where the decisive body will have the values of the individual decision-making criteria.
