This study was designed to measure the relationship between emotional intelligence and the psychological well-being of secondary school teachers. This correlational study used a multistage random sampling technique to select 1200 teachers from 20 boys and 20 girls' high schools in district Lahore. The emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (?=.86) and Psychological Well-Being Scale (?=.89) were adapted as tools for data collection. The results showed that emotional intelligence and psychological well-being were strongly correlated with each other. Factor wise descriptive statistics of emotional intelligence showed that teachers were almost completely agreed with their students while teaching. Descriptive statistics of the psychological well-being of teachers showed that they were almost completely agreed while dealing with stakeholders. Female teachers demonstrated a higher score than male in emotional intelligence and psychological well-being. Married teachers demonstrated a higher score in emotional intelligence and psychological well-being. It was recommended that male and unmarried teachers be motivated to improve emotions and well-being.

This study examined the influence of teachers’ emotional intelligence (EI) on academic achievement and outlined the model with the mediating effect of job satisfaction (JS) between the EI and academic achievement. Survey method was employed to collect the information from 728 secondary school teachers belong to Himachal Pradesh, a state of Northern India, through various statistical tools. The results of the study showed that teachers’ emotional abilities were significantly and positively associated with academic achievement of students and showed R2 61% variance in academic achievement. The relationship between EI and academic achievement of students is partially mediated by JS.

The study examined the mediating effect of moral sensitivity on the relationship between quality pedagogy and social trust of public secondary school teachers. The mediating variable (MV) was moral sensitivity, the independent variable (IV) was quality pedagogy, and the dependent variable (DV) was social trust. Primary data were collected using an adapted survey questionnaire administered to 400 teachers in Davao Region, Philippines. The data were analyzed using regression and sobel test. The results revealed that quality pedagogy and moral sensitivity have significant and positive relationship with social trust; likewise, quality pedagogy with moral sensitivity. The findings also showed that moral sensitivity partially mediates the effect of quality pedagogy on social trust, indicating that about only one third of the total effect of quality pedagogy (IV) on the social trust (DV) went through the moral sensitivity (MV) mediation, and about two thirds of the total effect was either direct or mediated by other variables not indicated in the model. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between spiritual leadership and workplace well-being of secondary school teachers. The study is quantitative in nature and a correlation research design has been used. The secondary school teachers of Lahore are mainly targeted population and stratified sampling technique is used to draw sample of the study. The sample consists of 150 secondary school teachers (75 male and 75 females). Two close ended questionnaires on five-point likert type scale were adapted for this study. The reliability of the instruments has been approx. 0.931 and 0.94 respectively. Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient has been used to investigate the relationship between spiritual leadership and workplace well-being. Inferential statistics are used to explore the difference among secondary school teachers’ perception on the basis of their demographic information. Findings of the study reveal that spiritual leadership is strongly correlated with teachers’ well-being in secondary schools. There is a weak positive relationship among spiritual leadership, teachers’ relatedness and teachers’ competence needs. It is recommended that the head teachers should adopt spiritual style to run the school effectively because under this leadership, a healthy environment in schools might be developed and teachers may perform their duties better.

This study aimed to determine the mediating effect of self-awareness on the relationship between burnout and psychological well-being of private school teachers. A descriptive-correlational study was employed to tertiary private school teachers in Region XI, Philippines. The researcher employed purposive sampling using the Slovin’s formula. Adapted survey questionnaires were used in this study. The questionnaires were divided into 3 sets burnout, psychological well-being and self-awareness. Results revealed that there is a significant relationship between burnout, self-awareness and psychological well-being of private school teachers. Self-awareness fully mediate the relationship between burnout and psychological well-being of teachers. Based on the findings and conclusion, since the teachers experience moderate personal burnout, it is recommended that the school official may provide health and wellness programs to reduce the degree of psychological exhaustion of teachers. The moderate self-awareness of teachers shows that the teachers are not yet in full control in the aspect of rumination and reflection. With this, it is recommended that seminars that will improve self-awareness will be conducted in the schools.

In this technologically developed scenario, many organizations in developing countries including Pakistan have expanded the enthusiasm for understanding and creating an encouraging administrative and managerial environment. Numerous organizations are struggling for structural changes by deserting the old-fashioned organizational management style and implementing an empowering leadership where leaders give more authority to subordinates in decision making and responsibilities with the aim to increase organizational productivity. Therefore, the study examined the leadership empowering behaviour as a predictor of employees’ psychological well-being of the educational institutions at secondary level in Kohat Division, Pakistan. A total sample of 564 secondary school teachers (male n = 379; female n = 185) was carefully chosen through a stratified random sampling technique. In this study, a non-experimental predictive correlational design was adopted. In order to collect data from the participants, two different standardized research tools i.e., the Leader Empowering Behaviour Questionnaire and Ryff’s Psychological Well-being Scale were used. After the collection of data, it was analyzed on the basis of mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, and multiple linear regression model. In conclusion, the study confirmed a significant positive correlation between leadership empowering behaviour and employees’ psychological well-being. Leadership empowering behaviours predict employees’ psychological well-being positively. Therefore, it was recommended that empowering behaviour might be adopted by the school leaders to improve the employees’ psychological well-being for better organizational productivity.
