This study focused on job crafting for employees to solve the problem when they have the misfit between self and their jobs. Specifically, the effects of perceived overqualification, which is a misfit between job requirements and ability of employee, on job crafting were examined, and the moderating effect of achievement goal orientation was tested in the relationship between the two variables. As a result of a survey of 341 workers, perceived overqualification had a significant positive effect on job crafting. The approach goal orientation, more specifically, the performance-approach goal orientation had a moderating effect in the relationship between perceived overqualification and job crafting. The higher the performance-approach goal orientation, the stronger the correlation between perceived overqualification and job crafting. These results suggest job crafting is a series of behaviors for increasing performance rather than mastering abilities. Based on these results, the research implications, limitations, and follow-up studies were discussed.

Capital investments are referred as a critical managerial decision on firm's fixed asset for generating profitability. However, the empirical finding shows that not every capital investment has a significant positive effect on profitability. Literature indicates mixed results of examining the capital investment relationship with firm's profitability, which vary in respects to the debt structure. On the other hand, strong government reinforcement has pushed Malaysia up as one of the top ten countries with robust private capital investment in the year 2004. Since the capital investments are typically irreversible and hypothesized as profit generator, the first aim of this study is to examine the effect of the capital investment on the firm's profitability across firms and sectors. The second aim is to examine the moderating effect of capital structure on the relationship between capital investment and profitability across firms and sectors. This study utilized pooled ordinary least squares and fixed effect analysis across 708 non-financial Malaysian listed firms. The unbalanced datasets for the period 2001 to 2015 were employed to check the robustness of these results. This study suggested that capital investment has a strong significant positive effect on profitability measurements across Malaysian listed firms in non-financial sectors. On the other hand, the significant negative moderating effect of capital structure on the relationship between capital investment and return on capital across Malaysian listed firms reflected the perspective of empire building theory. In addition, the independent sample test engaged across sectors affirmed that moderating effect of capital structure are different across sectors. Thus, this study concluded the existence of moderating effect of capital structure on the relationship between capital investment and profitability. This study addressed the knowledge gap on the moderating effect of capital structure based on empire building theory.

The purpose of this study is to examine the positive effects of perceived overqualification. For testing hypotheses in this study, data were collected from 458 employees. In this study we found three main results. First, this study investigated a moderating effect of peer based perceived overqualification on the relationship between perceived overqualification and organization based self-esteem. Second, this study found an indirect effect of perceived overqualification on job crafting via organization based self-esteem. Third, job autonomy had a significant moderating effect on the relationship between organization based self-esteem and job crafting. These findings were contrast to most previous studies which focused on negative organizational behaviors of perceived overqualification such as turnover, counterproductive work behavior(CWB). Therefore, this study suggests that perceived overqualification does not always lead to negative consequences and future perceived overqualification research should be conducted by new viewpoint.

Accumulating evidence underscores the importance of business reputation. Therefore, understanding the impact of reputation on customers is important and requires additional research. In this article, we attempted to understand the impact of customer-based reputation (CBR) on customers’ repatronage intentions across three hypermarkets of different sizes. We used switching inducement as a moderating variable to examine whether the relationship between CBR and repatronage intentions was moderated by inducements to switch. Inperson questionnaires/surveys were administered to a convenience sample to collect data from three different hypermarkets. In total, 1,099 questionnaires were collected and sorted for analysis. The results indicated that CBR had a significant positive effect on repatronage intentions in all three hypermarkets. On the other hand, a moderating effect was significant for only the smaller hypermarket, whereas there was no significantly interaction when large, multinational branded hypermarkets were considered.

This study aims to determine the role of job crafting as a mediation between learning goal orientation towards work engagement. This research is a quantitative study using a questionnaire method. The sample in this study was 51 employees of PT. Boma Bisma Indra (Persero) Surabaya. Data analysis used Structural Equation Model with the help of the SmartPLS 3.0 program. The results in this study indicate: (1) there is a significant positive effect of learning goal orientation on work engagement, with the t-statistics value of 3,432; (2) there is a significant positive effect of learning goal orientation on job crafting, with the t-statistics value of 8,234; (3) there is a significant positive effect of job crafting on work engagement with the t-statistic value of 4,931; (4) job crafting mediates the effect of learning goal orientation on work engagement, with the t-statistics value of 3,987 then the hypothesis was accepted.

Abstract This study aims to empirically challenge the moderation of Non-Performing Loans to the effect of Credit Distribution Rates on Profitability. The population of 81 bank companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2014-2018 and which met the criteria of the research sample (purposive sampling) were 22 companies. The research method uses survey methods with quantitative research approaches, the analytical tool used is moderation regression. This study concludes that the level of credit distribution has a significant positive effect on profitability and the existence of the problem loan variable is proven to be a moderating variable that weakens the relationship between the level of credit distribution and profitability.
