Abstract The article deals with the position of the Spanish monarchy in the context of Catalan separatism (independentism). The analysis is focused on the search for potential relationships between the weakening position of the Spanish monarchy and Catalan independentism and the consequences associated with this. To this end, the exploration includes both the monarchy in the institutional sense and focuses on the person of Juan Carlos I de Burbon himself and his son and successor Philip VI de Burbon. Furthermore, an important aspect of the research is the reference of the position of the monarchy to the issue of the independence process in Catalonia and a forecast in this light for the further development of Catalan separatism.

Improving technology and materials in glass production for the 21st century supposes implementation of high-level innovations. These innovations are necessary not to be only developed, produced and set up but also their qualities and perspectives need to be evaluated so that the ratio of their application is increased. The application ratio of developed innovations lies among 1-3% at present. All stages of glass processing like melting, forming or cold working have mostly limitations of its own further development which are necessary to be detected so that further possibility of innovation can be predicted. At present it is not sufficient to have only theoretic and expert knowledge of the field and IT applications but it is necessary to know the methods of creative thinking for achievement and application of required innovation. Understanding of the system of creative thinking makes possible to better and faster adapt to real life practice which changes very fast. TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) is a powerful method of creative technical thinking which originated by studying patents and by generalization of successful process solving. The method TRIZ makes possible to find a correct formulation of a task out of unclearly described situation as well as to solve the newly re-formulated task by using unique strong instruments of the TRIZ method [1]. Application of the TRIZ method is supported by a unique SW designed for collection of information, analyses, synthesis of solutions and verification of the found solutions. Practical examples of using the TRIZ method will be presented in the contribution on chosen glass technologies.

In the 21st century, with the further deepening of informationalization, competition among the steel industry chain has gradually upgraded to that of its e-commerce service. On the basis of bus-based industry chain theory, the architecture of integrated e-commerce platform in the steel industry chain is built. The platform involves upstream and downstream enterprises, including manufacturers, processing centers, trading companies, third-party logistics companies, and customers, etc. different from previous decentralized model of e-commerce platform, through the integrated e-commerce platform, customers can complete all business with one-stop, and improved their service perception and satisfaction. And new model is more promoted and implicated in other industry. The system has been applied in the enterprises, and the result is very good. The bus-based integrated e-commerce platform will become one of the paths for enterprise to further development.

The article presents a continuation of research on the distribution of travel agencies in Łódź, carried out in the mid-1990s, 2006 and 2010 by academics from the Institute of Urban and Tourism Geography. Observations on Łódź travel agencies over the last 25 years lead to the conclusion that it is a dynamic phenomenon. Agencies appear and disappear, change their names and locations, as well as their aims and range of activity. The paper presents a short historical outline of travel agency development in Łódź, a classification of agencies based on aims and range of activity, as well as their distribution within city space. The conclusions concern certain limitations and threats to the further development of Łódź travel agencies resulting from external (formal) and internal causes.

The aim of this study is to explore the extent to which 21st century skills assume “a priori” as an integral part of entrepreneurship education with the intent of producing graduates who are not just primarily driven to start new ventures but also empowered and enabled to create entrepreneurial impact within organizations. In elucidating this argument the author undertook social constructionist approach, in order to develop an empirical understanding of the role of entrepreneurship education in developing 21st century skills from the perspective and experiences of undergraduate students majoring in Innovation & Entrepreneurship undergraduate program. Findings of this study suggest that teaching detailed and nuanced industry knowledge is arguably beyond the scope of entrepreneurship education systems, but to an extent, it is of paramount importance that students are exposed to the organic industry knowledge through interaction and experiential experiences. Within such interaction, the development of convergent 21st century skills such as social relationships, leadership, creativity and critical thinking further nurture entrepreneurial intents among students. In so doing, this study provides avenues for further development of entrepreneurship education, particularly the integration of 21st century skills.

This study defines the nature, scope, pace, and consequences of the rapid development of social networking in the 21st century. The impact of INFOCO systems upon civilizational development is investigated and predicted for the future. Such concepts as Global Virtual Society, Global Virtual Nation, Virtual Nation, Virtual Users, National Virtual Citizens, and Global Virtual Citizens are defined. Their electronic culture is defined, too. Finally some recommendations for further research are provided. In particular, the question of whether the concept of one world government is good or bad for mankind should be answered soon, in order to properly steer the further development of large-scale social networks.

Villages and their functions in the landscape have changed significantly, and the 21st century has brought with it a number of problems in the functioning of village settlements and the rural landscape. The aim of the paper is to analyze the role of the current village in the landscape and biodiversity in the landscape and to outline the possibilities of its functioning in this system and its further development. The work is processed mainly by means of the method of terrain and local surveys. The analysis shows that throughout the 20th century the possibilities of animal and plant move in the landscape decreased and diversity in the form of gardens, cemeteries, parks and other green formations was concentrated in settlements and their immediate vicinity. Contemporary villages and smaller towns have already had a relatively stabilized strip of greenery around them, which was created together with ensuring a quality environment (e.g., soundproofing or sun elimination). This, on the other hand, allowed animals that had not been common in settlements to move into villages. To our surprise, the villages become a treasure trove of biodiversity and the preservation of fragments of important habitats from previous stages of development. The care of intra-settlement greenery thus faces a new, as yet unknown, task - how to maintain and further develop this newly created biodiversity.

The paper highlights the importance of studying theoretical architectural thought as a cultural phenomenon. The variety of architectural and urban planning theories in the period from the 1st century BC to the early 21st century needs to be reconsidered from the modern perspective using contemporary methodologies and tools. The development of a concept reflecting the evolution of architectural scholarly knowledge and its representation as an integral system are essential steps towards solving major problems faced by the fundamental architectural science and predicting its further development.
