The capital market in Indonesia is currently growing, so that competition between companies is increasing. The company will try to increase the value of the company in order to attract investors to invest in the company. Management realizes that attention investors tend to only focus on profit, so managers are encouraged to practice income smoothing. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence of the influence of firm value, firm size and profitability on income smoothing practices in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2018 periode. The number of samples selected in banking companies is as many as 31 companies, using the purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique used is a logistic regression analysis and the results showed that the firm value and firm size had a positive effect on income smoothing practices, while the profitability did not effect the income smoothing practice. This study aimed to examine the effect of Firm Size, Financial Leverage, Dividend Payout Ratio, and Firm Value toward Income Smoothing in BUMN Companies Listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange.  Income Smoothing measured by Index Eckel’s.  The Population in this study is BUMN companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019 Based on the purposive sampling method, the sum of a sample obtained from the population is 16 companies.  Sources of data obtained from annual reports of companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019.  The analytical method for this study uses logistic regression analysis and Mann Whitney test with SPSS 21.  Based on the result of the analysis showed Firm Size, Financial Leverage, Dividend Payout Ratio, and Firm Value are not influence Income Smoothing.

Income smoothing is an action performed by the company’s management in order to reduce fluctuations earnings This is done with the motivation to show good performance to investors, by showing stable corporate profits. Income smoothing is done by adding or reducing the company’s actual profit, to be moved to certain period. This study used a quantitative research method. Purposive sampling method was used, that is 59 samples in the period of 3 years. Therefore, the obtained samples were amounted to be 177 in total. Logistic regression analysis was used. The result showed that profitability, leverage and firm size have influence simultaneously significant to income smoothing. Partially, profitability have a positive effect, while the leverage and firm size do not have an effect to income smoothing.

The purpose of this study is to obtain empirical evidence of the influence of company size, profitability, financial leverage, and cash holding on income smoothing practices. The population in this study were 126 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2014 to 2018. The method of determining samples by purposive sampling. The number of samples obtained was 48 samples with observations over 5 years so there were 240 observations. The practice of income smoothing is calculated using the eckel index and the analysis technique used is logistic regression analysis. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that company size, profitability, financial leverage, and cash holding have a positive effect on the income smoothing practices of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2014 to 2018. This study can provide additional knowledge about the effect of company size, profitability, financial leverage and cash holding on income smoothing practices. The value of the company can provide maximum shareholder prosperity if the performance is good. one of them can be measured by profitability and other factors that influence company value are dividend policy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of profitability on firm value with dividend policy as a moderating variable in the Kompas 100 Index company. This research was conducted in all mining companies incorporated in the Kompas 100 Index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The number of samples, using the purposive sampling method is as many as 17 companies from 100 companies during the 2014-2018 period. The data analysis technique applied in this study is the regression analysis moderation. The results of the analysis produce, profitability has a significant positive effect on firm value. Dividend policy has a significant positive effect on firm value. Dividend policy moderates the effect of profitability on company value in the mining sector of the Kompas 100 Index. One of the steps that can be taken to reduce earnings fluctuations is income smoothing, by moving high income in a certain year into an unfavorable period, this is done to create a stable company profit so that it is reflected in good company performance in the eyes of investors. The purpose of this study is to determine whether company size is able to moderate the effect of financial leverage on income smoothing. This research was conducted at companies listed in the 2013-2017 banking period. The number of samples in this study were 110 samples that were selected using the purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique used in this study is logistic regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that financial leverage has no effect on income smoothing, and company size is not able to moderate the effect of financial leverage on income smoothing.

The purpose of this study is to obtain empirical evidence of the influence of profitability, debt, and company size on the value of food and beverage companies. This research was conducted in all food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2015-2018 period, amounting to 13 sample companies. The sampling method used in this study was purposive sampling and data analysis techniques in this study used multiple linear regression analysis. This research was conducted at banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2013-2017, which were 42 companies. The sampling technique in this study was taken based on non probability sampling method with purposive sampling technique so as to produce a sample of 32 companies. The data analysis technique used in this study was moderated regression analysis. Based on the results of the analysis it was found that capital adequacy has a positive effect on profitability, credit distribution has a positive effect on profitability and firm size has a positive effect on profitability. The results of this study also show that credit risk is not able to weaken the influence of capital adequacy and lending to profitability and credit risk is able to weaken the influence of company size on profitability. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of  leverage and  firm size on firm value with profitability as intervening variable on consumer goods industry  in the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The population in this study are companies in the consumer goods industry Indonesian Stock Exchange amounted to 46 companies 2014-2017. Sampling technique used was purposive sampling, so that the final sample that is obtained is 21, a company incorporated in consumer goods industry in Indonesian Stock Exchange 2014-2017. Data analysis technique used in this research is path analysis and Sobel test. The result shows that leverage has significant negative effect on profitability  and firm size has significant positive effect on profitability. Leverage, firm size, and profitability have significant positive effect on firm value. Profitability mediates the effect of leverage on firm value significantly and profitability also mediates the effect of firm size  on firm value significantly.

This study aims to determine the effect of financial distress, company size, and corporate governance on audit delay. This research was conducted at mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. The number of samples taken was 32 companies so that there were 96 observations, with a purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the analysis found that financial distress and independent board of commissioners have positive effect on audit delay. This research was conducted at a manufacturing company listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during the period 2013-2016. The number of samples used are 37 companies selected through purposive sampling method with 4 years of observation so that the total sample used to be 148 samples.. The Eckel Index is used as a distinguishing indicator between firms that do income smoothing and do not make income smoothing. Data collection was done by non participant observation method. Data analysis technique used is logistic regression. Based on the results of analysis in this study indicate that profitability variables affect the income smoothing, while the variable size of the company, financial leverage, and winner/loser stock has no effect on income smoothing.
