One method of regression analysis used to analyze the count data is Poisson regression. Poisson regression requires that the mean value equal to the value of variance (equidispersion). However, sometimes the data is going overdispersion  the state variance values ??greater than the mean value. One of the causes overdispersion is the excessive number of zero values ??on the response variable (excess zeros). One method of analysis that can be used on data that had overdispersion due to excess zeros is regression Zero-Inflated Negative Binomial (ZINB). The data that can be analyzed using the ZINB regression is the early childhood mortality in the province of Bali because much of the data is zero. The analysis showed that the data had overdispersion on Poisson regression, so the ZINB regression analysis was used. From the results of the ZINB regression can overcome overdispersion so it was better than the Poisson Regression Model.

Poisson regression is a nonlinear regression which is often used for count data and has equidispersion assumption (variance value equal to mean value). However in practice, equidispersion assumption is often violated. One of it violations is overdispersion (variance value greater than the mean value). One of the causes of overdipersion is excessive number of zero values on the response variable (excess zeros). There are many methods to handle overdispersion because of excess zeros. Two of them are Zero Inflated Poisson (ZIP) regression and Zero Inflated Negative Binomial (ZINB) regression. The purpose of this research is to determine which regression models is better in handling overdispersion data. The data that can be analyzed using the ZIP and ZINB regression is maternal mortality rate in the Province of Bali. Maternal mortality rate data has proportion of zeros value more than 50% on the response variable.  In this research, ZINB regression better than ZIP regression for modeling maternal mortality rate. The independent variable that affects the number of maternal mortality rate in the Province of Bali  is the percentage of mothers who carry a pregnancy visit, with ZINB regression models and .

Poisson regression was used to analyze the count data which Poisson distributed. Poisson regression analysis requires state equidispersion, in which the mean value of the response variable is equal to the value of the variance. However, there are deviations in which the value of the response variable variance is greater than the mean. This is called overdispersion. If overdispersion happens and Poisson Regression analysis is being used, then underestimated standard errors will be obtained. Negative Binomial Regression can handle overdispersion because it contains a dispersion parameter. From the simulation data which experienced overdispersion in the Poisson Regression model it was found that the Negative Binomial Regression was better than the Poisson Regression model.

The Poisson regression is generally used to analyze the response variable that is a discrete data. Poisson regression has assumption which must be met, that is condition equidispersion. But in fact this assumption is often violated, that is the value of the variance is greater or less than the mean value. The condition when value of the variance is greater than the mean value is called overdispersion. One method that can be used for overdispersion data is Generalized Poisson regression. In this research, it was found that the Generalized Poisson regression method was better than Poisson regression method.

An accuracy of better than 1% is needed to measure the changes in charge density due to bonding. Here we report an accuracy up to 0.025% (random error) obtained in rutile crystal structure factors measurement by QCBED. This error is the standard deviation in the mean value obtained from ten data sets. Systematic errors may be present. Figure 1 gives an example of the (200) refinement results. Table 1 lists several low order structure factor refinement results. The accuracy of the measured electron structure factors was 0.1-0.2% but after conversion to x-ray structure factors, the accuracy for low orders improved due to the Mott formula [1] For (110) and (101) reflections, the accuracy in x-ray structure factors became 0.025% and 0.048% respectively. This accuracy is equivalent to that of the X-ray single crystal Pendellosung method on silicon crystals [2].The experiments were done on a Leo 912 Omega TEM.

In this study, we consider the problem of zero claims in a liability insurance portfolio and compare the predictability of three models. We use French motor third party liability (MTPL) insurance data, which has been used for a pricing game, and show that how the type of coverage and policyholders’ willingness to subscribe to insurance pricing, based on telematics data, affects their driving behaviour and hence their claims. Using our validation set, we then predict the number of zero claims. Our results show that although a zero-inflated Poisson (ZIP) model performs better than a Poisson regression, it can even be outperformed by logistic regression.

In the game of futsal, work of postural muscle balance needed to maintain the stability of the body for receiving the pass and put the ball into the other team's goal at the time of attack, changing the direction of movement quickly when returning to their respective positions and avoid of back disorder. This research is a form of experimental research that will test the effectiveness of the provision of trunk balance exercise is better than the strengthening of back exercises to improve muscle work balance of erector spine on futsal beginner players, in this study sample will be divided into two groups, the first group will be given trunk balance exercise to improve balance of erectorspine muscles work in futsal begginer players, the second group will be given back strengthening exercise to improve balance of erectorspine muscles work in futsal begginer players. This study was conducted for 6 weeks and the intervention performed 18 times during the study period. Samples measured by surface electromyography to measure work of right and left erector muscle by calculating the proportion of the work on the muscle, the measurement is performed at before the intervention and then intervention in accordance with the grouping which has been divided and then after completion of the intervention, the samples will be re-measured to obtain the value of the intervention. The results of the first group who has been given of trunk balance exercise shows the average value of the before treatment (83.82 ± 2.94) % and the mean value of the after treatment (96.74 ± 2.39) %, and in the second group who has been given strengthening back exercise shows the mean value of the before treatment (88.29 ± 1.89) % and the mean value after treatment (95.91 ± 1.75) %, with the probability value of both groups is 0.000 (p <0.05), and can be expressed there is a significant difference between both groups. In the fourth hypothesis test conducted comparative results of both groups, using independent samples t-test using mean value of the first and second groups, in the first group (12.92 ± 2.94) %, and the second group (7.61 ± 2.12) %, with a probability value 0.000 (p<0.05) and can be expressed in statistical analysis is no significant difference between both treatments were carried out and that means, giving trunk balance exercise is better than back strengthening exercise to improve balance of erector spine muscles work on futsal beginner players.

SUMMARYProgress has been made in mapping and predicting the risk of schistosomiasis using Bayesian geostatistical inference. Applications primarily focused on risk profiling of prevalence rather than infection intensity, although the latter is particularly important for morbidity control. In this review, the underlying assumptions used in a study mapping Schistosoma mansoni infection intensity in East Africa are examined. We argue that the assumption of stationarity needs to be relaxed, and that the negative binomial assumption might result in misleading inference because of a high number of excess zeros (individuals without an infection). We developed a Bayesian geostatistical zero-inflated (ZI) regression model that assumes a non-stationary spatial process. Our model is validated with a high-quality georeferenced database from western Côte d'Ivoire, consisting of demographic, environmental, parasitological and socio-economic data. Nearly 40% of the 3818 participating schoolchildren were infected with S. mansoni, and the mean egg count among infected children was 162 eggs per gram of stool (EPG), ranging between 24 and 6768 EPG. Compared to a negative binomial and ZI Poisson and negative binomial models, the Bayesian non-stationary ZI negative binomial model showed a better fit to the data. We conclude that geostatistical ZI models produce more accurate maps of helminth infection intensity than the spatial negative binomial ones.

AbstractCount outcomes are often modelled using the Poisson regression. However, this model imposes a strict mean-variance relationship that is unappealing in many contexts. Several studies in the life sciences result in count outcomes with excessive amounts of zeros. The presence of the excess zeros introduces extra dispersion in the data which cannot be accounted for by the traditional Poisson regression. The zero-inflated Poisson (ZIP) and zero-inflated negative binomial models are popular alternative. The zero-inflated models comprise two key components; a logistic part which models the zeros, and a Poisson component to handle the positive counts. Both components allow the inclusion of covariates. To determine experimentally the mean value of a randomly fluctuating quantity, it may be necessary to measure the average value over a considerable interval of time. This problem arose in a recent study of the temperature fluctuations over a heated horizontal plate, and a system was used that depended on the counting of electrical pulses generated at a rate proportional to the quantity being measured. The advantage of this technique is that mean values may be measured over time intervals of almost unlimited length with little added difficulty for the experimenter. Circuits are described which measure: (a) the mean square of a fluctuating quantity and of its time-derivative, (b) the statistical distribution of the fluctuations, (c) the mean frequency of the fluctuation assuming a particular value, and (d) the mean product of two fluctuating quantities. Over the range of use, the stability and linearity of the calibrations is better than 1%, more than sufficient for work on natural convection. In its present form, the equipment responds uniformly to all frequencies below 100 c/s, but it would not be difficult to extend this range of response to higher frequencies.
