The article presents an analysis of the number of emergency medical care calls to patients with poisoning in Surgut, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra in two groups: poisoning with drugs, medicines and biological substances; toxic effects of substances, mainly non-medical purposes. In the territory of Surgut, for the period from 2017 to 2019, the number of visits of emergency medical teams to patients with poisoning decreased by 19.5%.

The aim of the study is to study the prevalence, structure and nature of injuries, to identify the frequency of deaths at the stage of medical evacuation, and to determine the number of injured people who need medical care in medical organizations (LMO), according to the data on requests of the population of the Ryazan region and the city of Ryazan for emergency medical care (SMP). Materials and methods of research. Statistical data on the requests of victims with injuries for emergency medical care in the Ryazan region and the city of Ryazan are analyzed. Materials of the study – maps of calls of the SMP teams in Ryazan and statistical data for the Ryazan region for 2017-2019. The results of the study and their analysis. The most frequent causes of injuries, their nature, the frequency of requests of the population of the Ryazan region and the city of Ryazan for emergency medical care, the number of deaths and the frequency of hospitalizations for injuries were determined.

Abstract BackgroundDuring the epidemic of COVID-19 of China, the emergency medical teams are facing serious stress in the front-line. As far as we know, there are no studies to test the applicability and measurement properties of the 10-item Chinese perceived stress scale (CPSS-10) in the emergency medical team.MethodsFrom March 17 to 27, 2020, an online survey was conducted on the emergency medical teams of Liaoning Province who supporting Wuhan. The CPSS-10 was used to measure the stress of medical workers. Classical test theory (CTT), bifactor model and multidimensional graded response model (MGRM) were used to analyze the measurement characteristics and differential item functioning (DIF) of CPSS-10.ResultsThe Cronbach's alpha coefficient of CPSS-10 was 0.86. Bifactor model confirmed that CPSS-10 was a two-factor structure. MGRM showed ordered response categories of K10. Item 8 could distinguish individual stress, but the slope of this item was very large (slope is 7.97, which was higher than 4), showing local dependence. There was a significant age DIF, but no DIF in gender. After removing the items 2, 5, and 8, the CPSS-7 showed high reliability, without DIF of age and gender, and there was no local dependence.ConclusionsMGRM could provide useful measurement information about CPSS-10 and CPSS-7. MGRM found that CPSS-10 did not fully conform to the item response theory (IRT). CPSS-7 had proved to be a more effective and reliable tool for assessing the perceived stress of emergency medical team.

The increase in the number of patients with complications of cardiovascular diseases and the need for early diagnosis of such complications and the early initiation of treatment already at the prehospital stage leads to an increasing  need for more frequent use of helicopter medical equipment, as well as for equipping aviation medical teams with highly qualified specialists. The  formation of a network of vascular invasive centers in the Moscow region,  modern equipment and its use in air ambulance conditions require constant improvement of skills among medical workers. All this undoubtedly leads to positive results, the mortality rate from heart attacks and strokes decreases, the duration of treatment and the period of rehabilitation of patients are  reduced. It should be noted that even 10 years ago, medical helicopters were used in the elimination of medical consequences in road accidents, fires and emergencies. Today, aviation medical teams are involved in more than 50% of cases with cardiovascular diseases, which undoubtedly speaks of the  prospects for the development of medical aviation in large cities.

Introduction: The SARS-CoV-2 virus was recognized in December 2019 in China. From that moment it has quickly spread around the whole world. It causes COVID-19 disease manifested by breathlessness, coughing and high temperature. The COVID-19 pandemic has become a great challenge for humanity. The aim: To analyze interventions of emergency medical teams during the SAR-CoV-2 pandemic, and to compare obtained data with the same periods in 2018-2019. Material and methods: The study retrospectively analyzed interventions of emergency medical teams in the period from 15.03 to 15.05 in 2018 - 2020. 1,479,530 interventions of emergency medical teams were included in the study. The number of interventions, reasons for calls, and diagnoses made by heads of the emergency medical teams during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic were compared to the same period in 2018-2019. Results: Authors observed the decline in the number of interventions performed by emergency medical teams during the pandemic in relation to earlier years by approximately 25%. The big decline concerned interventions that were the reason for calls to public places, such as “traffic accident” and “collapse”. In the case of diagnoses made by the head of the emergency medical team, the diagnoses regarding stroke or sudden cardiac arrest remained at the similar level. Others showed a marked decline. Conclusions: Reduced social activity contributed to a reduced number of interventions by emergency medical teams in public places. The societal fear of the unknown also contributed to the decrease in the number of interventions performed by emergency medical teams. People began to avoid contact with other people.

Relevance. Due to busy roads of large cities and the resulting slow movement of ambulances with severely affected patients in need of specialized emergency care, new organizational technologies for medical evacuation support as well as modern means of transporting patients to qualified hospitals are required.Intention is to analyze activities of the aviation medical teams of the Scientific and Practical Center for Emergency Medical Care in Moscow in 2015-2019.Methodology. Using the automated information-analytical system “Disaster Medicine of the Moscow City”, activities of aviation medical teams over the last 5 years (2015-2019) were analyzed retrospectively in the Scientific and Practical Center of Emergency Medical Care. Ambulance helicopters are fully equipped to provide comprehensive intensive care for severely affected patients without noticeable deterioration of their condition, and utilization of this equipment was also assessed.Results and Discussion. Main stages of air ambulance formation in Moscow are described. Experience of aviation medical teams over the past 5 years in providing emergency medical care at the pre-hospital stage to those affected in emergency situations and severely ill patients is presented. The description of medical equipment of ambulance helicopters intended for providing emergency medical care to adults and children, including newborns, is given. The number of calls for aviation medical teams over the past five years is provided along with basic reasons and amount of night flights.Most often helicopters were used for transporting patients with severe concomitant and multiple injuries as a result of road accidents. Medical team composition of ambulance helicopters and the number of helipads on the territory of medical organizations of the city and the territories attached to Moscow are given.Conclusion. Based on the analysis of aviation medical teams activities, further ways to improve and develop the aviation medical service of the city of Moscow can be outlined to expand its use.

Relevance. Acute respiratory failure (ARF) and acute cardiopulmonary failure (ACPF) are unavoidable, and often – the leading syndromes in any critical condition, especially in case of multiple organ failure syndrome as a regular stage in the course of previously incurable conditions. Even a full range of intensive care measures in this category of patients does not always give the desired result. According to various authors, with the development of acute respiratory distress syndrome, the mortality rate reaches 80 %.Intention is to determine the role of the aviation medical teams of the emergency medical service-disaster medicine in ensuring the timely availability of high-tech methods for patients who need them, regardless of the patient’s location.Methodology. Activities of the aviation medical teams of the Scientific and Practical Center for Emergency Medical Care of the Moscow City Health Department for the medical evacuation of patients and victims in emergency situations with ARF and ACPF were analyzed.Results and Discussion. There were analyzed interactions of aviation medical teams with the emergency medical response units of the territorial center for disaster medicine and with medical organizations during the medical evacuation of patients with ARF and ACPF. An algorithm and a scheme of interaction between air medical teams are proposed to optimize medical evacuation of these patients.Conclusion. An analysis of the activities of air medical teams revealed their advantages in providing care for patients with ARF and ACPF.

To study more comprehensively, analyze and summarize the satisfaction factors of the professional activity of the medical teams from CEMC. Preliminary interviews were conducted with medical professionals working at CEMC. On this basis, a questionnaire was developed, surveying through a sociological method the opinion of medical professionals from the Centers for Emergency Medical Care. Medical professionals, providing emergency medical care, face a number of challenges, which in turn have a direct impact on job satisfaction. We studied the satisfaction factors influencing the professional activity of the medical professionals working in the emergency medical care centers and their manifestations. The degree of professional satisfaction and its manifestations can be conditionally classified into 4 levels - high, medium, low satisfaction and complete dissatisfaction. The satisfaction factors and the level of overall satisfaction of the medical professionals working in the emergency medical care in the Republic of Bulgaria represent a number of complicated regularities, derived on a scientific basis. For the satisfaction of the emergency medical care professionals, it is necessary to provide factors that prevent dissatisfaction with the work and the organization of work, while, at the same time ensure conditions for the normal course of the activity, professional achievements and development.
