Since a few years ago, blended learning has been implemented by UNUSA. However, until now, the implementation is still not optimal. Various obstacles, such as network access, availability of devices, and unclear rules in implementing online learning, still occur. Readiness analysis is one of the critical success in online learning implementation.  The main objective of this research is to conduct online learning readiness studies at UNUSA. This research was carried out in three main stages: the preparation of measurement instruments, data collection, and analysis of readiness level. The method used is descriptive research method with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The Seakow & Samson e-learning readiness model with five dimensions of readiness, namely policy, technology, financial, human resource, and infrastructure, is used in this study. The result of this study shows that that UNUSA's level of readiness in implementing online learning is in the Ready category, requiring improvement to implement it with a readiness score of 3.68. The dimension with the highest score is technology, which is 3.84. Meanwhile, infrastructure and policy scored 3.77 and 3.72, respectively. The human resources dimension has a readiness score of 3.6. In contrast, the dimension with the lowest score is the financial dimension.

ABSTRACTThe Covid-19 pandemic has caused learning to be carried out online. Not all students, however, are ready for online learning. This study aims to examine the level of readiness of eighth-grade students at a junior high school through an explanatory sequential mixed method design consisting of quantitative and qualitative phases. Student readiness for online learning in this study was reviewed from five dimensions: self-directed learning, motivation for learning, computer/internet self-efficacy, learner control, and online communication self-efficacy. The Online Learning Readiness Scale (OLRS) survey proposed by Hung (2010) with a five-point-Likert scale was used to collect quantitative data. The data were analyzed quantitatively, and the level of readiness was measured utilizing the e-learning readiness assessment model suggested by Aydin and Tasci (2005). Follow-up interviews were then held to support the quantitative data. The results showed that the majority of students entered the level of "ready but needs a few improvements". However, there was one item in the dimension of self-directed learning that was included in the level of "not ready needs some work". The implication of this study is the need to encourage students to actively communicate in online learning, especially for shy students.ABSTRAKPandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan pembelajaran dilakukan secara online.

With the effect of the pandemic, online learning has gained importance. In addition, due to restrictions, individuals’ behavior with digital tools has begun to change. Thus, the present study examines online learning readiness, phubbing, and sofalizing behavior in pre-service teachers and the correlations between these variables in a completely online instruction environment. A correlational design was adopted in the study. The study was carried out with 130 pre-service teachers. The data were collected with the E-Learning Readiness Scale for College Students, the Generic Scale of Phubbing, the Generic Scale of Being Phubbed, and the Sofalizing Scale. The data collection process was conducted at the end of the 2020-2021 academic year fall semester. The study findings demonstrated that the readiness of pre-service teachers for online learning readiness was high. However, the findings for phubbing, being phubbed, and sofalizing scales were inversely low. There were no differences between the variables based on gender. There was a difference only in being phubbed scores based on department. In the study, a significant correlation was found between phubbing, being phubbed and sofalizing. However, no correlation was determined between these variables and online learning readiness. It was suggested that the study findings could contribute to future research on online learning readiness, phubbing, and sofalizing variables.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the learning process from face-to-face to online learning. Therefore, universities are forced to prepare their learning management system’s infrastructure quickly. Students and lecturers’ readiness for e-learning are also crucial. This study aims to investigate lecturers and students’ readiness for online learning during this pandemic. Furthermore, lecturers and students’perception about the constraints and advantages of online learning were also explored in this study. Respondents in this study were 1036 students and 354 lecturers from various universities in Indonesia. Students’ readiness for online learning was measured by the Online Learning Readiness Survey/OLRS and the results showed that students in this study were ready because they had a high score of self-efficacy in technology and high learning motivation during the pandemic. Meanwhile, lecturers' readiness was measured by Teacher Readiness for Online Learning Measurement/TROLM and we found that lecturers were ready because they had a high score in communicating via computer and in self-directed learning to continue utilizing the technology. These results contribute to research related in online learning during the pandemic and provide important implications for University’s management in dealing with changes in education.AbstrakPandemic COVID-19 telah mengubah proses belajar dari tatap muka menjadi belajar secara daring (pembelajaran jarak jauh/PJJ). Online learning readiness is fundamental to student successful participation, presence, and interaction in online courses. Effective facilitation of these key components depends on sound instructional design. In self-directed online environments, learner-content interaction and scaffolding self-regulated learning have been found of primary importance to generate meaningful learning. To provide a solution to the challenges of interoperability of various functions in synchronous online learning environments, this chapter presents a case study about the design and development of a self-paced orientation to help students acquire online learning readiness. Learner-content interaction is strategically utilized in the design to scaffold self-regulated learning. The results of the case study demonstrate that this orientation positively prepares students to be ready for learning in a synchronous online environment. The approach can be of practical use to individuals and groups.

Corona virus pandemic has rapidly changed the way of life, as well as the way of learning system in entire world. The need of information and communication technology (ICT) competencies and improved digital infrastructure are the main requirement to conducting the distance or online learning, In addition, both teacher and student must be adapted with this “abnormal” condition. Since the online learning or distance learning has been officially applied by Indonesian government at March 2020 then extended to unknown end time (the end of pandemic), a massive overhaul and evaluation are needed to begin a “new normal” learning period. This is an evaluative survey study about the online learning readiness during pandemic. The data has been collected equally using online survey platform from three hundreds high school students in the rural and urban region; and thirty history teachers. Based on the research, mainly students and teacher are not well prepared and fully ready for conducted online learning due to technical problems such as stability of internet access, internet network availability, and financial issue. Consequently, in long-term effect, the unbalanced in preparation of online learning could be resulted in digital divided which raise the inequality of quality education between the learners.
