Many of today’s healthcare personnel find themselves in a double-bind. The question is: How to remain connected, caring and compassionate with patients, while mitigating the impact of chronic workplace stress? Mindfulness is emerging as a means for addressing this dilemma as it has the potential to both reduce workplace stress and boost employee resilience, while enhancing the patient experience. This article describes the development of a unique collaboration between local hospitals, primary care teams and a university, aimed at bringing mindfulness to life in healthcare. This is a conventional story of program development and evaluation, as well as an unconventional story of personal discovery, community-building, and organizational transformation. Each section of the paper highlights a critical success factor that we have uncovered in our journey, and poses a series of questions for contemplation.  This paper aims to fill a gap in the literature by describing the key ingredients for developing and sustaining a community-wide collaboration aimed at integrating mindfulness into the healthcare system.

This chapter provides an analysis of the effect of management commitment as a critical success factor Kaizen, on the economic and competitive benefits obtained by implementing the same in industrial enterprises during their planning stage is presented. To collect information apply 423 questionnaires distributed to 68 companies in the states of Tabasco, Sinaloa and Chihuahua in Mexico. The partial least squares method was used with the software WarpPLS 4.0 software to develop a model of structural equations that explain such effects. The results show that when there is a high management commitment, this impacts on the economic and competitive benefits to companies directly and positiva.Como result of this study is shown in a tangible way, the impact of a certain critical success factor Kaizen, the benefits of implementing it, essential to their sustainability over time element.

Innovation is one of the key sources in obtaining competitive advantage by enterprises. The abilityto innovate is generally accepted as a critical success factor for competitiveness and firms’ performance. The paper discusses cooperation for innovation and its influence on enterprises’ innovativenesslevel. The main aim of the article is to determine the relationship between cooperation forinnovation and innovativeness of the surveyed companies, which is investigated empirically. Thepaper discusses the channels and level of cooperation taking place in enterprises correspondingto its sources, specific character and determining the significance of the impact of cooperationfor innovation on the actual level of innovativeness. The specific objectives of the article relateto examining what kind of cooperation for innovation occurs in enterprises and whether there isa relationship between the cooperation and innovativeness level of the enterprise. The study is basedon a survey of firms (n = 100) located in Poland. The article first establishes the research framework, then deduces the research hypothesis and finally describes the analysis tools, the sample structureand statistical methods. The analysis has been done with the SPSS software. The statistical methodused in the survey is multiple step regression. The study has determined the positive relationshipbetween cooperation and innovativeness of the surveyed enterprises. The relation between cooperationand innovativeness is positive concerning the channels of vertical cooperation, especiallyin the area of cooperation with suppliers of equipment, materials, components or software. Thesefindings suggest that the measurement of cooperation for innovation and its channels should be developed further in order to make it a more relevant concept for empirical studies of enterprises’innovativeness and competitiveness.

Science and technology (S&T) programs serve an important function in the defense acquisition process as the initial phase leading to discovery and development of warfighting technology. The results of these programs impact the larger major defense acquisition programs, which integrate the technologies in subsequent phases of the life cycle. Despite this important role, little prior research has examined the performance of S&T programs. In this study, the authors investigate the impact of technological maturation as a critical success factor in Air Force S&T programs. The results suggest that S&T programs with mature technologies are more likely to experience above average cost growth and larger contract values while less likely to experience schedule growth. Additionally, the authors find the partnership method between the government and contractor matters for both technological maturation and schedule growth. Lastly, the nature of the S&T program is important, with aerospace programs more likely to technologically mature than human systems programs.

In our present paper, the influence of data quality on the success of the user acceptance of research information systems (RIS) is investigated and determined. Until today, only a little research has been done on this topic and no studies have been carried out. So far, just the importance of data quality in RIS, the investigation of its dimensions and techniques for measuring, improving, and increasing data quality in RIS (such as data profiling, data cleansing, data wrangling, and text data mining) has been focused. With this work, we try to derive an answer to the question of the impact of data quality on the success of RIS user acceptance. An acceptance of RIS users is achieved when the research institutions decide to replace the RIS and replace it with a new one. The result is a statement about the extent to which data quality influences the success of users’ acceptance of RIS.

Knowledge management is now becoming the driving force for the success of any business. This paper presents the framework for understanding the critical success factor that impact the execution of knowledge management in a bank. We had entered the era where future will depend on the creation, acquisition, integration and application of knowledge at right time to innovate and take competitive edge. Knowledge can be used as asset, resource or strategy. The motivation of this study is to identify the impact of critical success factors on knowledge management process in Indian nationalised banks. The construct identified as critical success factors such as information technologies, leadership in knowledge management, knowledge management culture, and measurement of knowledge management were tested using structural equation model. 236 response were collected from the respondent employed in Indian nationalised bank in Gorakhpur with the help of questionnaire as a data gathering instrument. The finding of the study reveals that all the critical success factors used in the proposed model significantly influence the knowledge management process. Leadership in knowledge management is identified as most important predictor among the critical success factor.

Keywords : e-Government, CSF, Desa
