Formation of polymer nanomaterials are achieved by the process of polymerization and there was an availability of different methods such as chemical oxidative polymerization, electro chemical polymerization, In-situ oxidative polymerization and emulsion polymerization etc., Many monomers combine to form polymers under certain conditions by chemical reactions between the monomers. The chemical oxidative polymerization was most commonly used method to synthesize PANI and the synthesis process involved various molar ratio of aniline (0.1M, 0.2M, 0.3M) in which APS was used as an oxidant with dopant of HCl. This study revealed that the properties changed based on their initial conditions. The prepared aromatic polyaniline was characterized by FT-IR, UV-VIS,Particle size analyzer techniques and anti-bacterial activity of the sample was analyzed.FT-IR spectroscopy gives deep view of many  functional groups that were present in a system by measuring vibrational frequencies of chemical bonds involved. UV-VIS was a good tool to identify, characterize and to study the optical properties of nanomaterials. In particle size analyzer, the size of a particle was measured using the instrument laser diffraction particle size analyzer (SALD-2300). The synthesized polyaniline had the tendency to resist the growth of both gram positive and gram negative bacteria. These organic conducting polymers were sometimes called “smart polymers” and have varies application in medical, OLED, solar cell, batteries and sensor etc.,

A series of waterborne cationic polyurethanes dispersions (CWPU) was prepared through prepolymerization method by reacting polyethylene glycol (PEG1000) and isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) with N-methyl diethanol amine (MDEA) as chain extender. Then FeCl3 was employed as oxidant, therefore CWPU/polypyrrole (CWPU/PPy) conductive composite was prepared by in situ chemical oxidative polymerization of pyrrole (Py) in CWPU dispersions. Effects of molar ratio of FeCl3 to Py, Py concentration on the resistivity of the CWPU/PPy composite films were investigated. The structure, morphology and thermal stability were also characterized by Fourier infrared spectra (FT-IR), light scattering, TEM, and TGA. FT-IR demonstrated the presence of hydrogen-bonding interactions between CWPU and PPy. The average particle size of CWPU/PPy increased from 10.61nm to 30.29nm compared with pure PU, and corresponding size distribution decreased from 0.850 to 0.346. It was also found that CWPU/PPy displayed as spherical morphology, and no aggregation among particles was detected among particles. TGA certified CWPU/PPy was endowed with better thermal stability. In addition, conductivity stability of composites films was also studied. It was found that composite films not only displayed low resistivity but also improved conductivity stability.

A study of liquid mixing route to synthesize high purity Mg0.8Zn0.2TiO3 nanopowder, a candidate dielectric ceramics, has been successfully performed. Formation of the phases on the dried powder was studied using TG/DTA, XRD and FT-IR data. Rietveld analysis on the collected XRD patterns confirmed the formation of solid solution in the system. Such solid solution can be obtained from the powder calcined at 500 °C, but calcination at 550 °C gave rise to the most optimum molar purity up to 98.5% without intermediate phases. The role of Zn ions on the formation of solid solution was also discussed. Homogeneity of particle size distribution and nano-crystallinity of the system was verified from the particle size analyzer data, TEM image and the Rietveld analysis output.

In this paper,ZnO/PANI transparent conductive film has been prepared by in situ chemical oxidative polymerization, APS as an oxidant. The conductivity and transmittance of ZnO/PANI was measured. It has been investigated of the effects of reaction conditions and the doping component on conductivity, transmissivity and adhesion. With the increase of doping ZnO, the conductivity of ZnO/PANI transparent conductive film, transmittance and adhesion reduced. The optimal conditions is that the concentration of An, APS and PVA are 0.75 mol / L, 0.8 mol / L and 0.5wt%, respectively.

YAG materials has a number of unique properties, the application is very extensive. In this paper, the superfine YAG powder materials were prepared by co-precipitation method and hydrothermal precipitation method. The influence of synthesis process on the morphology of the powder was investigated. The results showed that the precursor powder prepared via the co-precipitation method is mainly from amorphous to crystalline transition with the increasing calcination temperature, the precursor agglomeration is more serious, In the process of increasing the calcination temperature, the dispersibility of the roasted powder is greatly improved, which is favorable for the growth of the crystal grains, so that the particle size of the powder is gradually increased, the YAG precursor prepared by the co-precipitation method is transformed into YAG crystals, the phase transition occurs mainly between 900 and 1100°C. When the molar ratio of salt to alkali is Y3+: OH-=1: 8 via the hydrothermal reaction, the YAG particles with homogeneous morphology can be obtained. When the molar ratio of salt and alkali is increased continuously, the morphology of YAG particles is not obviously changed. The co-precipitation method is easy to control the particle size, the hydrothermal method is easy to control the particle morphology.

This study describes the preparation of polypyrrole multiwall carbon nanotube (PPy/MWNT) composites by in situ chemical oxidative polymerization. Various ratios of functionalized MWNTs are dispersed in the water, and PPy are then synthesized via in-situ chemical oxidative polymerization on the surface of the carbon nanotubes. The morphology of the resulting complex nanotubes (MWNT-PPY) was characterized by field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The conductivity of each composite showed a maximum in the temperature scale of 120 – 160 °C and then decreased dramatically with the increase of temperature. The resultant PPy/MWNT nanotubes enhanced electrical conductivity and thermal stability of nanocomposite compared to PPy which was strongly influenced by the feed ratio of pyrrole to MWNTs.

Abstract Silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were synthesized using four pathogenic bacterial extracts namely, Bacillus cereus, E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella entericasubsp.enterica. Synthesis process were hydrothermally accelerated using temperature, pressure and heating time of 121°C, 1.5 bar ad 15 min. Physico- chemical characteristics of the fabricated Ag NPs, including, particle size, polydispersity index (PDI), zeta potential, broad emission peak (λmax) and concentration were evaluated using UV-Vis spectrophotometer and dynamic light scattering (DLS) particle size analyzer. Furthermore, main existed functional groups in the provided bacterial extracts were recognized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The obtained results revealed that two main peaks were detected around 3453 and 1636.5 cm-1, for all bacterial extracts, were interrelated to the stretching vibrations of hydroxyl and amide groups which those had key roles in the reduction of ions and stabilizing of the formed Ag NPs. The results also indicated that, Ag NPs with much desirable characteristics, including minimum particle size (25.62 nm) and PDI (0.381), and maximum zeta potential (-29.5 mV) were synthesized using S. e. subsp. enterica extract. λmax, absorbance and concentration values for the fabricated Ag NPs with this bacterial extract were 400 nm, 0.202% a.u. and 5.87 ppm.
