Research development of chemistry teaching materials inquiry model with scientific approach has been done by using 4-D model which aims to increase the student concept mastery and critical thinking skills on coloid topic at senior high school. The research subject of teaching materials which tested on student of science class 11th grade in senior high school 6 Surabaya with one-group pretest-posttest design, the results from the research show that the lesson implementation plan, the student’s book and student’s worksheet were feasible, then the validation instrument were valid.  Implementation of lesson plan was good, the activity of student in learning process has increased highly, students gave the positive response to learning process, as well as concept mastery and practicing critical thinking has been achieved. The conclusion of this research, show that the chemistry teaching materials of inquiry model with scientific approach is feasible and able to increase concept mastering and practicing critical thinking of students in Senior High School. Telah dilakukan penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran model inkuiri dengan pendekatan scientific yang menggunakan 4-D model dan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi koloid di SMA. Subyek penelitian perangkat pembelajaran yang diujicobakan pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 6 Surabaya dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest, sedangkan data hasil penelitian yang diperoleh sebagai berikut: validasi RPP, buku siswa dan LKS berkategori layak, tes penguasaan konsep dan tes berpikir kritis berkategori valid. Keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik. Aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan yang tinggi, Siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap proses pembelajaran, serta ketuntasan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis telah tercapai. Simpulan penelitian ini, bahwa perangkat pembelajaran kimia model inkuiri dengan pendekatan scientific layak dan dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan melatih berpikir kritis siswa SMA.

The lack of Biology teaching materials in senior high school in the Kerinci District has promoted this research. The purpose of this development research is to produce e-modules as teaching materials used by students in Biology subjects. The model used in developing this e-module is the 4-D model, which consists of 4 stages, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. Biology e-modules on plantae and animalia material based on the potential of the Kerinci region were validated by media and material experts. The results of the media expert validation obtained the final percentage of 90% (very valid category) and the material expert validation obtained a percentage of 75% (valid category). From the results of the field test, the teacher responded that the e-modules produced were suitable for use in biology class X high school learning with a percentage of 92.5% (very good category). Furthermore, e-module trials on students obtained responses that the products produced were also proper to be used in biology learning in class X of senior high school. The small group test obtained a score of 85% (excellent category) and the large group test obtained score 78.3% (good category). The use of the developed e-modules in learning resulted in a score of 76.3% (successful category).

Pembelajaran IPA di sekolah sangat memerlukan sarana dan prasarana, salah satunya berupa Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS). Guru dituntut kreativitasnya dalam membuat bahan ajar berupa LKS yang menerapkan pendekatan saintifik untuk mengaktifkan siswa ketika proses pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) berbasis inquiry pada materi pengukuran dalam pembelajaran IPA di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4D dengan empat tahapan pengembangan, yaitu define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), development (pengembangan), dan dissemination (penyebaran). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS berbasis inquiry yang dikembangkan memiliki kriteria valid dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Respon siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan memiliki kategori baik. Jadi, LKS berbasis inquiry pada materi pengukuran yang dikembangkan efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa.   AbstractScience teaching in schools need more facilities and infrastructure, one of which is a Student Worksheet. Teachers are required creativity in making teaching materials that apply a scientific approach to enable students to do the learning process in the classroom. This study aims to develop an integrated inquiry based Student Worksheet on the measurement material science teaching in Junior High School (SMP). This research is a development research with 4D model with four stages of development, namely define (definition), design (design), development (development), and dissemination (spread). The results showed that Student Worksheet based inquiry developed has valid and feasible criteria in learning. The student's response to the developing Student Worksheet has a good category. Thus, Student Worksheet based inquiry on the materials developed are effective in learning to enhance students creativity.

This research aims to produce the valid teaching materials. The teaching materials are developed using POE model to increase students’ critical thinking skills in junior high school on pressure topic. The teaching materials developed consist of the lesson plan, student worksheet, student book, the critical thinking skills test, and concept mastery test. The five indicators of critical thinking skills measured in this study are providing simple explanations, the ability to give reasons, make conclusions, make and determine the results of considerations based on the application of facts, and choose alternative solutions. Model of teaching materials development usedthis research is 4D model. Validityxdataxwere obtainedxfrom thexvalidationxbyxexperts usingxthexvalidityxinstrument. Thevvdatavvobtainedvvwerevvanalyzed descriptively quantitatively basedxonxthe validity criteriaxof teaching materials. Basedxonxthe assessmentxofxthreexvalidators, the developedxteachingxmaterials had very valid category.

The development of technology today has a huge impact on education, especially in the learning process. Therefore, an educator must be able to adapt the learning process to technological developments. One way to apply technology development in learning systems is to use e-modules in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to use guided inquiry-based e-modules to see the magnitude of the increase in students' critical thinking skills in the material reaction rate after using guided inquiry-based e-modules. The research method used a quasy experiment with a pretest-postest design using two classes as the experimental class and the control class. The sample in this study were students of State Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Sebrida Indragiri Hulu class XI. The results obtained were an increase in students' critical thinking abilities from before the use of guided inquiry-based e-modules. After the use of e-module based guided inquiry. This increase is seen from the comparison between the experimental class and the control cash class. The experimental class using e-module has a higher critical thinking ability of students than the control class that does not use e-module in the learning process.

This research aims to develop e-book teaching materials, analyze the feasibility level of e-books and analyze student responses to e-books. The subjects in this study are financial accounting on the basic competence of accounts receivable accounting. Teaching materials in the form of e-books were developed according to the implementation of the 2013 curriculum based on a scientific approach. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D model. The validators in the study were 3 lecturers according to the intended field and one teacher who was an expert in financial accounting subjects. The assessment data distributed to the validator comes from the review sheet and then the validation sheet. A total of 20 students of class XI Financial and Institutional Accounting at SMK Yapalis Krian were also one of the respondents. This is to determine the feasibility of teaching materials so that they are suitable for use in the learning process. The product developed produces a very feasible interpretation with an average feasibility recapitulation of 89.49%. From these results, there are several components listed with very feasible interpretations, namely the feasibility of the material 89.89%, the feasibility of language 86.67% and the feasibility of graphics 91.93%. For the average results, students stated that the interpretation was very well understood with a percentage of 88.12%. So this teaching material is suitable for use in the learning process

Curriculum 2013 has been implemented in targeted schools in order to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, starting from elementary school to high school level. However, in implementation, until now there has no teaching materials of physics subjects that can be used as a guide learning in school, especially to apply scientific approach. Therefore, in order to improve the quality of education in secondary schools in Padang, in general, this study aims to improve the quality of education, especially in senior high school physics in Padang. Specifically targets to be achieved through this research is to develop teaching materials based on scientific approach in an effort to improve students' thinking skills and understanding of the concepts of high school physics for implemented of curriculum 2013. In practice, research began identifying problems in school, then design an scientific approach based teaching materials. To test validity of scientific approach is based teaching materials then conducted of development research (R & D, four D models ) with the defining phases are define, design, development , and disseminate. Based on the results of the validation of teaching materials created, generally result is good categorize. So that the teaching material has been designed can be used in senior high school.

The scientific approach constitutes an approach to Indonesia's 2013 curriculum. Since it is imperative for Indonesian education, all teachers need to understand, manage, and apply it in the teaching-learning process. Unfortunately, many English teachers still use inappropriate methods as in the 2013 curriculum. This qualitative research aims at discovering the implementation of a scientific approach by English teachers at State Senior High School in Lhokseumawe. The objects were English teachers at SMAN 1 Lhokseumawe, SMAN 2 Lhokseumawe, and SMAN 5 Lhokseumawe. The tools used in this study were observation for three high school English teachers in the schools. The observation results toward the implementation of five scientific approach stages exposed that the English teachers did not carry out the five stages completely. The teacher should master, understand, and apply the teaching process by following the whole stages of the scientific approach. Class mastery and time management are vital for the learning process. Thus, the teachers should consider those points. Hence, interesting supporting media, appropriate learning material, and methods must be considered by the teachers in teaching so that the students will be motivated to learn.

The learning process in 2013 curriculum for all levels of education carried out by using a scientific approach (scientific approach). Critical thinking skills and mastery of concepts students need to developed in a learning process that is as capital to criticize a variety of symptoms, problems that arise in the vicinity. The use of instructional media and learning models in physics very aid learners in understanding the concepts of physics. Based on the above, it is necessary to do a literature review on the develop of guided inquiry worksheets with models to improve critical thinking skills and mastery of concepts students. The study began with highlights of LKS and model of guided inquiry. Next, review the empirical research has done about critical thinking. Then the third part discusses the concept mastery. Furthermore, in the fourth part is the end of the literature review. Based on the literature study, the authors conclude that the develop the model of guided inquiry worksheets can used to improve critical thinking skills and mastery of concepts students.
