The article deals with the issue of providing electric power to the first category receivers in the emergency mode of the power supply systems operation of perspective and modernized aircraft. The analysis of the published scientific works performed both in Russia and abroad, and aimed at solving problems of analyzing abnormal operations mode, synthesizing power supply systems and controlling them in order to prevent dangerous consequences is carried out. The authors considered the ingenious technical solutions aimed at providing the necessary quality power supply for the first category receivers in the emergency operation modes of the aircraft power supply systems for the safe completion of flight and landing. The research analysis and generalization of data on the technical characteristics of units and devices developed by the world's leading manufacturers of aviation equipment and used as emergency sources of electrical power on board modern civil aviation aircraft has been completed. The advantages and disadvantages of each technical solution are determined, as well as limitations to the area of their application are formed. The analysis of perspective emergency sources of the electric power including those, which previously were not applied in aviation because of their insufficient technical perfection, for example, hydrogen electrochemical generators is carried out. Based on the performed analysis, a solution which allows improving the operating modes of the electrical batteries is proposed. The offered solution makes it possible to increase the reliability and durability of electrical batteries, as well as the power supply duration of the first category receivers from them.

In order to improve the efficiency of the switching power supply in whole load range, the controller with PWM, PFM and BURST operating modes is designed in this paper, which changes the operation mode automatically according to the load. The operating principle and the advantages and disadvantages of the three operating modes are analyzed and compared. PWM mode is used in heavy load; PFM mode is used in light load to reduce switching losses by reducing the switching frequency and BURST mode is used at the standby time to further reduce switching losses. The main control module is designed and simulation results verify the feasibility of the designed circuit.

The article examines the main features of the layout of electrical equipment for shop networks of internal power supply with the definition of indicators for a group of shop customers connected to a single power center, affecting the choice of the structure of schemes for shop network sites. The parameters characterizing the circuit topology are revealed. A study is presented of the influence of the load factor of workshop transformers on their reactive power factor, it is proved by calculation by technical and economic criteria the feasibility of replacing a workshop transformer with two with a lower total power. The calculation of energy savings in the in-plant power supply systems. The type of dependences tgφ of transformers ТМ and ТСЗ with various rated powers in the function of loading transformers is established. The most significant factors of the growth of idle power losses during operation are presented. With determination of losses of active and reactive power and electricity in transformers and losses of active power in a high voltage distribution network A feasibility study was carried out on the options for internal power supply schemes with two transformers of lower power installed instead of one, and the feasibility of such a replacement to increase the efficiency of the equipment was proved and the estimated payback period for the investment capital was determined. A comparative analysis of the studied power supply schemes of industrial enterprises with the identification of their advantages and disadvantages.

Power supply systems for small businesses based on renewable energy sources are most often based on converting wind energy, solar energy and water energy. Calculating its effectiveness is a time-consuming task, requiring the processing of a large amount of data specific for the geographical location of power generating units. In the article the technique of computer modeling of work of a park of wind power plants (WPP) with the purpose of definition of an optimum parity of their parameters is considered.

The article presents typical methods of connecting various types of local power sources to a medium voltage network. Describes the advantages and disadvantages of individual solutions. The authors focus particularly on the issues of power system protection, with particular emphasis on overcurrent protection (ANSI 50 and 67). The key part of the article is the presentation of the selection methodology, along with examples, of setting this type of protection for a frequently encountered case - connecting local energy sources with busbars with a line with receipts.
