Piston in reciprocating compressor has to perform work until certain life. But piston fail because of improper design. The design of piston must be done for a life time performance. In this paper, the body of work is carried out to design the piston and measure the distribution of stress on the piston of reciprocating oil less gas booster compressor. The dimension of the piston is calculated by analytical method. According to this dimension solid model is developed using modeling software Creo Parametric 2.0. Then analysis is carried through using FEA based software ANSYS 15.0. The result stresses are compared with analytical calculation.

The reciprocating compressor contains crank-rod mechanism whose unbalanced inertia force mainly accounts for mechanical noise and vibration during the working process. Through the analysis of fit between the diameter of the compressor piston and the crank eccentricity, influence of imbalance force on the compressor vibration and noise is obtained under no change in other parts. The tests of vibration and noise are followed for the purpose of verification. The results show that the vibration and noise control will be better if a small piston diameter and a big crank eccentricity are utilized.

PURPOSE: To study the effect of amtizol, 2-aminobenzthiazole (2-ABT) and 2-amino-4-acetylthiazolo[5,4-b]indole (BM-606) on the resistance of male outbred mice to acute hypoxia with hypercapnia under conditions of isolated functioning of one from the hemispheres, as well as both hemispheres of the brain. METHODS: A model of acute hypoxia with hypercapnia (canned hypoxia) was used in mice of the same mass, the lifespan of all animals was determined. Temporary shutdown of the cortex of one of the hemispheres or both hemispheres was achieved by epidural application of filter paper moistened with 25% potassium chloride solution, creating a spreading depression according to Leao. Amtizol, 2-aminobenzthiazole (2-ABT) and 2-amino-4-acetylthiazolo[5,4-b]indole (BM-606) at equimolar doses of 25, 32.5, and 50 mg/kg, respectively were used as pharmacological analyzers, the compounds were injected intraperitoneally 30 min before the hypoxic episode. RESULTS: It was shown that, in contrast to amtizol, 2-ABT and VM-606 increase the life time of experimental animals when any hemisphere is turned off. The use of drugs when both hemispheres were turned off revealed that amtizol has approximately equal effect on the brain and the rest of the body, in 2-ABT antihypoxic activity is 1/3 associated with the brain, in VM-606 exclusively with the brain. CONCLUSION: The experimental model used in this work makes it possible to quite easily evaluate the effect of either one drug or compare several drugs, their role in the functioning of the cerebral hemispheres, on which part of the sample highly resistant or low resistant to hypoxia they have the greatest effect.

This project deals with the analysis of adhesively bonded single lap riveted joints. The present work involves the appropriate configuration and characterization of these joints for maximum utilization. The present study includes the effectiveness of bond line thickness, the bonded layer configuration. This is also applicable to dissimilar thickness joints, but in this project we have placed the adhesives at different places for riveted joints. The finite element technique was used throughout the analysis of present work. The present work showed that riveted bonded joints are superior in strengthening to the riveted joints. The riveted bonded joint seems to strengthen and balance the stress and distributed uniformly. This improves the efficiency and life time of the riveted joints; this is also applicable to dissimilar thickness and dissimilar metals joints for balancing, uniform distribution of stress and without any effect of corrosion on dissimilar metals. Modeling and analysis of adhesively bonded single riveted lap joint can be done by using ansys with a version of 13.0.

Abstract How do international adjudicators use precedent? This question has been addressed several times in the literature, but doctrinal accounts have generally failed to consider the aggregate dimension of the phenomenon. This article seeks to provide an alternative outlook by offering a large-scale computational analysis of the body of jurisprudence of three international fora (the ICJ, the WTO Appellate Body and investment arbitration tribunals) and comparing their citation patterns with those of other judicial bodies—national and international. Building on a very large dataset (comprising over 200,000 citations), it employs network analysis tools to measure the evolution of international law citation networks. It then unpacks this emerging complexity by considering what, in a precedent, holds ‘citing value’, highlighting the expansion of the range of precedential resources as well as the consecration of established authorities. Finally, the article considers three examples of computational analysis of citations to precedent in order to better gauge the level of engagement with the past.
