This study aims to investigate and explore the critical success factors which affect the integration of medical cloud and pharmaceutical logistics operations. To achieve research objective, we firstly collected the opinions of medical management experts through the process of the Delphi method, and then affecting the integration of medical cloud and healthcare logistics operations were screened and summarized. Secondly, the questionnaire was conducted and 11 experts’ assessments of the influence between every two factors were acquired. Furthermore, this study employed DANP to calculate the weight for each factor when there exists interaction relationship among the factors and to plot causal map. Reviewing the causal map and the weights for each factor, “To induct artificial intelligence (AI) into medical treatment” and “To develop intelligent healthcare logistics” are significantly higher than other factors in terms of total influence value, net influence value and relative importance. Our findings can provide hospitals and pharmaceutical companies as a basis in formulating cloud medical development strategy.

Indian pharmaceutical EMNEs, with significant cost competitiveness, have the potential to partially address the vexing problems of global healthcare industry, including rising cost of the healthcare. In this context, we explore the Critical Success Factors (CSFs) of the pharmaceutical industry, which can help firms focus their resources sharply to break-out faster. Using case study method, we studied two global dominant firms for identifying industry CSFs. Product innovation capabilities emerged as the most important CSF, having the potential to provide competitive advantage for long-term competitiveness of the firms. Other two factors that emerged as CSFs are marketing capabilities and financial capabilities. The study contributes to the literature by linking the success factors to firm capabilities and also specifically to international business literature of EMNE capability building. The study also has implications to practitioners in strategic decision making.

This study identifies, prioritizes and ranks a list of critical factors that impact consumers’ perception of the restaurant industry from a restaurant managers’ perspective. A mixture of the modified-Delphi method and multi-criteria decision-making method, the best-worst method (BWM), is adopted to achieve the study aim. The integrated approach has been employed with the help of seven experts from different units working under Hyderabad Restaurant Industry, India. The study identifies five main and twenty-five sub-categorical factors impacting consumers’ perception of restaurants. In particular, the study offers insights into the restaurant business after implementing a new taxation system (i.e., GST). The ranks showed that 66% of restaurants success depends on two critical factors, that is, ‘food quality’ and ‘cleanness and ambience’. The top choices can be improved by emphasizing the ‘use of fresh ingredient’ and ‘use of regular cleaning and sanitization’. The findings provide managerial and policy insights to direct efforts and resources more efficiently.

Electronic Health Records (EHR) has been the subject of much academic discussion in recent times. The impact that a successful implementation of EHR can have on a hospital cannot be overstated. Factors which are crucial to successful implementation of an EHR system are commonly known as Critical Success Factors (hereinafter referred to as CSFs). Purpose: The present study investigates the role of CSFs in implementation process of EHR systems in north Indian multispecialty hospitals. Design: The questionnaire has been distributed to 12 hospitals which have been using EHR technology. Findings: It has been concluded that three out of the five CSFs included in the study, play a more important role than the other two factors. Research limitations: The factors have not been considered separately based upon pre-implementation scenario and post-implementation phase. Originality: The study attempts to outline the impact of EHR systems on successful operational performance of hospitals.

This project investigates the correlation between the organizational readiness in Albaha University (ABU) and the respective Critical Success Factors (CSFs) with regards to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation. The investigation also considers some suggestions to improve the ABU’s ERP systems and roadmap towards the self –development strategy and reduce vendor-dependency. A survey regarding ERP to the end-user, expert and developer in ABU was conducted. The analysis of the results in this work confirmed with the results of an existing work. The four significance success factors: Project Management, Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), System Integration, and Training and Education are recommended to be adopted to assure the smooth adoption of ERP at Albaha University

The unprecedented COVID-19 outbreak strengthened the critical manifestation of the rapid development vs. survival for pharmaceutical companies, deploying strategic conduct worldwide. This study therefore explores the endogenous relationship among pharmaceutical companies’ manufacturing strategy and their performance indicators within the ambit of creating a long-lasting competitive advantage in turbulent times. Very often, it is not possible to launch a cause-effect relationship between performance and their drivers. To achieve this end, multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques are employed in a hybrid fashion in this study. The notion has simultaneously ranked critical success factors (CSFs) in the manufacturing strategy and performance indicators in the limelight of managerial perceptions, while controlling the inherent bias concerning the causality direction in the ambit of these two entrenched concepts. A case study on the Iranian pharmaceutical companies is piloted to demonstrate this hybrid-fashion multifarious approach. Overall, the results revealed the most pertinent CSFs that reached superior-performance echelons in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Cloud-based ERP systems are substantially expanding, which is expected shortly to demonstrate a significant impact on the current business model. Identifying the Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and the major challenges of the cloud-based ERP systems implementation will pave the pathway for prospective clients to adopt cloud ERP systems and take advantage of this novel IT-based cloud revolution. This research identifies the top 10 CSFs that contribute to delivering a successful cloud-based ERP systems implementation. A survey instrument was distributed to 70 enterprises using cloud-based ERP systems. The research outcomes indicate a positive and significant relationship between eight CSFs and the cloud-based ERP systems implementation. However, only two factors demonstrate a positive but not significant correlation. Overall, the results of this study show a notable impact of the CSFs on the cloud ERP systems implementation.

PurposeThe aim of this paper is to find and prioritise multiple critical success factors (CSFs) for the implementation of LSS in the oil and gas industry.Design/methodology/approachBased on a preselected list of possible CFSs, experts are involved in screening them with the Delphi method. As a result, 22 customised CSFs are selected. To prioritise these CSFs, the step-wise weight assessment ratio analysis (SWARA) method is applied to find weights corresponding to the decision-making preferences. Since the regular permutation-based weight assessment can be classified as NP-hard, the problem is solved by a metaheuristic method. For this purpose, a genetic algorithm (GA) is used.FindingsThe resulting prioritisation of CSFs helps companies find out which factors have a high priority in order to focus on them. The less important factors can be neglected and thus do not require limited resources.Research limitations/implicationsOnly a specific set of methods have been considered.Practical implicationsThe resulting prioritisation of CSFs helps companies find out which factors have a high priority in order to focus on them.Social implicationsThe methodology supports respective evaluations in general.Originality/valueThe paper contributes to the very limited research on the implementation of LSS in the oil and gas industry, and, in addition, it suggests the usage of SWARA, a permutation method and a GA, which have not yet been researched, for the prioritisation of CSFs of LSS.

This empirical paper focuses on the critical success factors of international projects in Vietnam. Our regression results indicate that two factors including project conditions and partners’ capacities do not have significant impact on the project success in Vietnam. In contrast, we found only two factors including partners’ commitments and communication that have significant and positive impact on the project success. So, in an environment with many policy changes like Vietnam, if the stakeholders make strong commitments, the success likelihood of international project is higher. Also, smooth internal and external communication contributes plays an important role in the project management, stakeholder connection and decision-making process that are favorable for the project success.
