The biography of the Belarusian artist, sculptor, designer, teacher, professor Anatoly Fedorovich Kovalev is considered. A. F. Kovalev was one of the organizers of Belarusian education in the field of fine and decorative arts. He was the author of the first design dissertation in the BSSR, a member of the Union of Artists of theUSSRand Belarusian Union of Artists, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. During his long career he transferred knowledge and a huge professional experience to more than one generation of talented students, including workers of culture and art ofBelarus– V. K. Lebedko, M. Sakhuto, G. F. Shauro, V. I. Prokoptsov. In1965 A. F. Kovalev, being the head of the department of decorative and applied art of the art and graphic department of the Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute named after S. M. Kirov (now Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov), made a lot of efforts to transfer technical work into the artwork channel based on traditional techniques of decorative processing of materials, and also influenced the development of history and design theory at the initial stage of its formation. The contribution of A. F. Kovalev to the sphere of culture and art of theRepublicofBelaruswas marked by many state awards.The article is addressed to young designers, artists, sculptors, teachers of the humanities and technical disciplines, research scientists who are interested in the history of design.

The article briefly examines the history of the development of special and inclusive education Mongolia. Some data on the training of students from Mongolia in theIrkutsk State Pedagogical Institute are presented. Information is provided on the current state of the problem of inclusive education, the efforts made to solve it at the Mongolian State University of Education. The urgency of resuming interaction with Russian scientists on the problems for exchange experiences on inclusive education.

The Soviet system for training scientific and pedagogical workers at special postgraduate course was introduced at Lviv State University as a part of its Sovietization. The first group of postgraduates was accepted in the fall–winter of 1940–1941. At that time, four people were taken to postgraduate course of Faculty of History, and two of them (Valentyna Lelyukh and Olexander Kulikov) were enrolled in Department of History of Ukraine. Their official postgraduate courses began on February 1, 1941, and ended on January 31, 1944. Anton Krylenko joined the postgraduates at Department of History of Ukraine in the middle of February, 1941. He was enrolled as a postgraduate student in the second year of study, because he had already studied at postgraduate course in Kyiv. The well-known Ukrainian scientist professor Ivan Krypiakevych was appointed as the official head of these postgraduates at Department of History of Ukraine. As a result of a detailed study of the biographies of these postgraduate students of Lviv University, it was found that they were all from the eastern regions of Ukraine, they only recently had arrived in Lviv and had been the members of the VKP (b) (All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks)). They did not have any more scientific experience, nor any publications, they did not know foreign languages, however, which they were important for the Soviet leadership. This allows to talk about a special selection of postgraduates in the Department of History of Ukraine, especially in comparison with other Departments of the University. Krypiakevych began the work with his postgraduates in late January, 1941. He conducted individual consultations and compiled the lists of necessary literature but at the same time, I. Krypiakevych adapted his work with postgraduates to the official Soviet demands on education. The postgraduate courses at Lviv University were restored after the war. In December, 1945 Nina Tsymbal and Volodymyr Borys were recommended to enroll in the postgraduate study at Department of History of Ukraine. Prof. I.Krypiakevych was again appointed as their scientific tutor. After some time, Borys was moved to postgraduate study at another Department, and only Tsymbal remained under the direction of Krypiakevych. In the next academic year, another graduate of Faculty of History, Vasyl Inkin began his post-graduate course at Department of History of Ukraine. In October, 1947 Olga Omelchuk, which has been a graduate of the Lviv State Pedagogical Institute, became postgraduate too. In November, 1947 Krypiakevych was officially dismissed from the University. After some time, a new supervisor was appointed for these postgraduates.

The place and role of the department of modern and contemporary history of the faculty of history of the Belarusian State University in the formation and development of teaching modern and contemporary history of foreign countries in various higher educational institutions of Belarus in the period 1930–70s are analysed. The evolution of the department as a leading scientific and educational center in its field is considered. The article describes the work of teachers of the Belarusian State University in the Minsk State Pedagogical Institute named after A. M. Gorky, Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute named after S. M. Kirov, Republican Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Belarus, Minsk State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages, Gomel State University and etc. The conclusion is made about the important role of the Belarusian State University in the formation of teaching modern and contemporary history in higher educational institutions of Belarus in the initial period of their activity.

Статья посвящена истории ежегодного смотра художественной самодеятельности в Калининском государственном университете в первое десятилетие после его преобразования из Калининского государственного педагогического института имени М.И. Калинина в 1971 г. Показано, что серьезные подвижки в характере проведения конкурса, в культурно-массовой работе вуза были начаты еще в институте. Практически не прекращались они на протяжении 1970-х гг. и в университете. Прослеживаются изменения в составе выступающих факультетов, формате проведения смотра, подходе к формированию организационного комитета и жюри конкурса, требованиях и критериях оценки концертов и вечеров и др. Отмечается, что доминирующей в 1970-е гг. была позиция сторонников «профессионализма» в студенческой художественной самодеятельности, но несмотря на предпринимаемые меры, добиться массового систематического занятия студентами художественным творчеством в этот период так и не удалось. The article is devoted to the history of the annual amateur art show at Kalinin State University in the first decade after its transformation from the Kalinin State Pedagogical Institute named after M.I. Kalinin in 1971. It is shown that serious progress in the nature of the competition, in the cultural and mass work of the university was started at the institute. They practically did not stop during the 1970s and at the university. There are changes in the composition of the performing faculties, the format of the review, the approach to the formation of the organizing committee and the jury of the competition, the requirements and criteria for evaluating concerts and evenings, etc. It is noted that the dominant position in the 70s was the position of supporters of «professionalism» in student amateur art. Despite the measures taken, it was not possible to achieve a mass systematic occupation of students with artistic creativity during this period. The article is written on the basis of the materials of the largecirculation newspaper KSPI (KSU) «Kalininets», as well as the memoirs of TvSU teachers.

The article is devoted to the issues of the origin and formation of the archaeological study of Kabardino-Balkaria as one of the areas of scientific research at the Kabardino-Balkarian State Pedagogical Institute (since 1957 – the Kabardino-Balkarian State University). The scientific and pedagogical activity of one of the first professors of the historical department, a well-known specialist in the field of ancient history, Konstantin Eduardovich Grinevich is shown. In 1949, he led the Kabardian archaeological expedition, the result of which was the compilation of an archaeological map of the republic. K.E. Grinevich made a great contribution to the study of the cultural heritage of Kabardino-Balkaria and the training of young personnel in the field of archeology.

Modern development of the state in general and the educational system in particular is largely predetermined by the events of the past, which inevitably become part of history. In the context of historical education modernization, which took place in the country at the beginning of the 21st century, it is necessary to study more deeply the existing experience of creating specialized faculties and teaching history on their basis within higher educational institutions. Historical education in the territory of Chuvashia began to be implemented in the 1930. In the period from 1930 to 1967, the Chuvash State Pedagogical Institute was engaged in the formation of professional historical personnel. From 1967, a new stage in the development of higher historical education of the republic begins, associated with the opening of I.N. Ulianov Chuvash State University (I.N. Ulianov ChuvSU). The Faculty of History and Philology (FHP) began working in the structure of the classical university. It consisted of five departments: general history, the history of the USSR, the Chuvash language and literature, the Russian language, Russian and foreign literature, which were headed by leading scientists of the republic. From 1990, changes took place in the history of higher historical education in Chuvashia. This is due to the division of the FHP into three independent faculties, among which the historical one was singled out. During the same period, restructuring of I.N. Ulianov ChuvSU was underway, as a result of which in 1990, in addition to the departments of national history and general history, a new department of archeology, ethnography and regional history began to function at the faculty. During the period of activity of the Faculty of History and Philology, it was headed by well-known scientists, organizers of education: Candidate of Philological Sciences V.Ya. Kanukov, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor V.F. Kakhovsky, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor M.M. Mikhailov, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor I.A. Andreev. The Soviet period in the formation and development of higher historical education, associated with the opening of I.N. Ulianov Chuvash State University, laid the mainstays for training personnel in subsequent periods.

The article examines some of the issues of the formation and evolution of the genre of the story in Circassian literature. The relevance of the study is due, on the one hand, to the insufficient development of the stated topic, on the other hand, to the need to identify trends in the development of national prose, starting from the problems of its genesis. In the center of research attention is the ideological and thematic orientation of the Circassian story mainly of the initial stage of evolution, i.e. Soviet era. In particular, the author examines the stories of S. Temirov, I. Amirokov, M. Adamokov, H. Gashokov and others, who laid the foundations of the genre in Circassian literature. During the indicated period, the Circassian tale was the first attempt to comprehend the problems of collective farms, youth brigades, the Soviet attitude to work, the range of urgent problems of young people, their aspirations, the formation of the criteria of Soviet morality. It also reflects various aspects of the Great Patriotic War, mainly as a war for independence. The research uses the method of artistic analysis. The results obtained can be used in compiling special courses on Adyghe (Kabardino-Circassian) prose, writing the history of the literature of the peoples of the North Caucasus.

Aleksander Aleksandrovich Zdanovich — Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor, veteran of the KGB of the USSR and the FSB of Russia, retired lieutenant general, professor of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, the author of several monographs on the history of Russian special services and the Great Patriotic War. He is one of the founding fathers and president of the Society for the Study of the History of Russian Special Services and active organizer of the scientific conference «Historical Readings in the Lubyanka». This interview was agreed upon during the scientific trip of A. A. Zdanovich to Omsk in September 2020. The interview was given remotely and then edited by Aleksander Aleksandrovich from Moscow in September 2021. The conversation is devoted to the current state and prospects of studying the history of the Russian special services.
