This research paper aims to review and evaluate the implementation of arrangements made by the government of Sindh for free Early Childhood Education. Furthermore, this study undertakes a case study of the government schools of Hyderabad District. Since this topic is under-researched in the province, the authors of this paper have tried to see the efforts of government regarding the implementation of the law passed after the implementation of the 18th amendment, especially for early childhood education, which is one of the important phases of education. This study is based on descriptive data and analysis were conducted using the Force Field Analysis (FFA). Both primary and secondary sources were used for data collection. The study concludes that the government’s initiative to pass the Sindh Right of Children to Free & Compulsory Education (SROCTF & CE) law is facing barriers in its implementation. In the end, the study suggests some recommendations, in light of the research findings.

The present study aimed to propose strategies for the effective implementation of Early Childhood Education Programme in government schools in Punjab. A sample of 300 heads of educational institutions was taken from the 36 districts of Punjab to evaluate this programme. A questionnaire was used to collect the opinion of the heads of educational institutions. The findings of the study show that physical facilities were provided by the government for the implementation of ECE programme in only 1000 schools in Punjab. The curriculum developed by the Federal Government is used for the development of the students. The heads of educational institutions and ECE teachers were provided training for effective implementation. The school council members/parents required to involve for the effective implementation of the ECE programme. The appointment of teachers on merits basis, having professional degree in Early Childhood Education is also required to make the ECE programme more effective and successful.

This paper was aimed to examine the factors affecting enrollment in early childhood education in Punjab, Pakistan. The objectives of this paper were to find out the effect of early childhood education on enrollment in Punjab and to observe the implementations of early childhood education methodology in early childhood school. There were three categories of the literacy rate highest (47.4% to 70.5%), middle9 36.8% to 47%) and lowest (20.7 % to 36%) in Punjab. Stratified random sampling techniques were used and strata were made concerning the literacy rate. One district choose form each category of the literacy rate. 25 school heads were taken as a sample from each region. It was concluded from the results of the respondents that multiple factors affect the enrollments in these schools. It was recommended from the conclusions that the government of Punjab may provide facilities (classroom, instructional materials, and equipment) for enhancing enrollment at the primary level in Punjab.

Abstrak: Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dari jumlah lembaga PAUD yang ada diKota Banjarmasin belum semuanya memiliki perencanaan khususnya pada analisispeningkatan legalitas kelembagaan PAUD dan analisis kebutuhan pendidikan untuk anak usiadini (AUD). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus dengan analisis data deskrtifkuantitatif dan kualitataif. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa: i) Disdik Kota Banjarmasin danLembaga PAUD sampel tidak melakukan perencanaan yang baik untuk pendataan analisiskebutuhan pendidikan AUD; ii) Belum semua lembaga PAUD sampel memiliki izinoperasional dikarenakan adanya persyaratan yang belum dapat dipenuhi karena memerlukanbiaya yang cukup besar seperti, pembuatan akta notaris; iii) Belum semua lembaga PAUDmemiliki sarpras sesuai dengan pedoman sarana dan prasarana dari pusat; iv) untuk membantuketersediaan sarpras, Disdik Kota Banjarmasin sudah mengalokasikan dana APBD II berupabantuan RKB, rehab kelas rusak ringan dan berat, serta bantuan APE Dalam dan Luar berupabarang. Abstract: The problem in this study is from the number of early childhood institutions in thecity of Banjarmasin not all have plans in particular to the analysis of institutional legalityincrease early childhood education and educational needs analysis for early childhood (AUD).This study uses a case study approach to data analysis of quantitative and qualitative deskrtif.The study shows that: i) Disdik Banjarmasin and Institutions ECD sample is not doing betterplanning for data analysis AUD educational needs; ii) Not all the samples of early childhoodinstitutions have an operating permit because of the requirements can not be met because itrequires significant costs such as notary deed; iii) Not all early childhood institutions haveinfrastructure accordance with the guidelines of the central infrastructure; iv) to assist theavailability infrastructure, Disdik Banjarmasin already allocated budget II in the form ofclassroom assistance, rehabilitation of damaged light and heavy classes, as well as the In andOut APE assistance in the form of goods.

Bertrand Russell’s educational thoughts significantly deal with reforming education for school going children and he also supported pre-primary education. He favored early childhood education for physical, intellectual and character development. His emphasis on character development of a child shows the significance of early years of life for development of an individual. This paper aims at exploring Bertrand Russell’s thoughts on early childhood education. It is an attempt to understand the significance of early childhood education for the holistic development of the children. Though there are early childhood education is prevalent in our country, but it was not mandatory to get early childhood education till the approval of National Education Policy (N.E.P., 2020). It has included early childhood education in compulsory school education for promoting better learning and well being of a child. It is a qualitative research in which historical method has been used where data has been collected from primary and secondary sources. The finding of the study shows that Bertrand Russell’sthought on early childhood education is relevant in present Indian context for developing good values, physical and mental development as well as in future learning. This shows that the encouragement to early childhood education and Bertrand Russell’s thoughts on early childhood education would be helpful for holistic development of children.

Taiwan has become a global high-tech center. The success of becoming the leading country of high-tech and information technology is accredited to the efforts of the government and of all citizens. In addition, Chinese highly value in academic success, and this has contributed to the success of Taiwan. Parents believe the success of life is rooted in a good education, especially in the early years. This chapter presents an overview of early childhood education in Taiwan and explores how Chinese culture had influenced the value of parents’ expectation in education, as well as how children learn through the use of technology. The last part of the chapter discusses the discrepancy between current early childhood education situations and teachers’ professional development.
