Abstract. Product design is a stage in the process of making products based on certain shapes, sizes, and colors. Industrial Home industry is a company engaged in the bag manufacturing industry that has its own product brand, Kaboa. The problem with this is that Kaboa waistbag products have experienced a decline in sales by the significance associated with several problems, namely (1) There are no new models or innovations in Kaboa waistbag products, (2). The objectives of this study are (1) To identify the needs and demands of customers who are priorities and prove to be a variable in the quality of waistbag product designs, (2) Make waistbag product designs according to customer desires and needs to be able to meet customer demand and search. In this study, the method used to develop and request waistbag products to suit customer needs is the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. The parameters used in the Kaboa waistbag product design process are 13 quality variables used as references. The best alternative product design options are products made from condura fabric with the cheapest production costs, good quality, strong and durable, with patterned colors according to the consumer and the company's target market with the company's ability. Abstrak. Perancangan produk merupakan tahapan dalam proses menciptakan sebuah produk berdasarkan model bentuk, ukuran, dan warna tertentu. Home industri Kindustries merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang industri pembuatan tas yang memiliki brand produk sendiri yaitu Kaboa. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah produk waistbag Kaboa telah mengalami penurunan penjualan secara signifikan yang disebabkan beberapa permasalahan yaitu (1) Belum banyaknya model atau inovasi baru pada produk waistbag Kaboa, (2) Pangsa pasar sempit yang hanya di fokuskan kepada kalangan orang yang senang melakukan kegiatan outdoor. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah (1) Mengidentifikasi kebutuhan dan keinginan pelanggan yang menjadi prioritas dan menerjemahkannya menjadi variabel kualitas rancangan produk waistbag, (2) Membuat usulan rancangan produk waistbag sesuai keinginan dan kebutuhan pelanggan untuk dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan dan upaya memperluas pasar untuk meningkatkan penjualan. Dalam penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan dan merancang produk waistbag agar sesuai kebutuhan dengan keinginan pelanggan adalah metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Parameter yang digunakan dalam proses desain produk waistbag yaitu berupa 13 variabel kualitas yang digunakan sebagai acuan. Alternatif desain produk pilihan terbaik rancangan produk berbahan kain condura dengan biaya produksi paling murah, berkualitas baik, kuat dan tahan lama, dengan warna bermotif sesuai penilaian konsumen dan target pasar perusahaan serta kemampuan perusahaan.

University of Darussalam Gontor is a higher education institution which has Agro-Industrial Technology Department. As a department with mission to create Moslem technopreneur, student business unit is created as laboratory to produce vary agroindustry products, and yogurt YoFresh is one of their main products. Quality function deployment is one of the most important developed tools to ensure the quality of product and service. As an emerging business unit in agro-industrial technology department, QFD methodology is attempted to propose design characteristic of yogurt and match with voice of customer. This research is proposed to improve the quality and product design of product developed student business unit in Agro-Industrial Technology Department. This research consists of three stages by utilize QFD application, which are: (1) determine the voice of customer (2) determine of technical responses and (3) relationships between both stages. As the beginning, voice of customer identification is paramount as input of QFD application. Furthermore, identifying product characteristic by conducting interview with management of YoFresh is necessary in order to obtain technical response as the sub-matrix of QFD. To complete QFD analysis, relationships between previous stages is analyzed to obtain the score of technical responses. Results from this research will evaluate and give blossom opportunities for innovative agroindustry products. The more variative agroindustry products created, the more insight and experience for students to have. Through business unit, agroindustry department of UNIDA Gontor will successfully deliver the value of moslem technopreneur.

AbstrakThe data of year 2006 show that amount of polyclinic patients care unit of BRSUD�45� Kuningan is the most among other polyclinics. The result of observation and interviews tell that the degree of satisfaction got by the patients is in the level(category) of middle (enough) and the degree of importance is in the level of high (important). The purpose of doing this research is to analyze the quality of service to improve the patients satisfaction using Quality Function Deployment method involving 96 respondents. The data were taken from the result of applying quality Function Deployment method in BRSUD�45� Kuningan tells that the attribute owning the highest level of importance is the competence or the skill of the doctors in handling their works while the attribute owning the lowest level is the availability of the public service facilities such as public phones, televisions, and ATM. The attribute that owns the most satisfaction value is the dressy of the officials while the attribute that owns the least satisfaction value is the comfortable, hygiene water closet. The technical characteristic owning relatively the highest importance value is the standard officers� performance; therefore, such attribute gets the highest attentive priority of technical characteristic (technical response)Keywords : QFD, House of Quality, Voice of Customer, Technical Characteristic, Technical Response

Limited space in carrying out activities demanded the availability of furniture that has multifunctional. The purpose of this research is to design a multi-functional Stair Chair. The method used is Quality Function Deployment. The Quality Function Deployment method is used to obtain the product variables desired by most prospective users so that expected design results can fulfill the consumer's wishes. Existing product variables are the description of the main aspects of designing a product i.e. function, shape, construction and material. The main aspects of this design should be considered in order to produce a product design that meets the criteria in designing the correct furniture techniques. The understanding of the importance of ergonomics and anthropometry is indispensable for the main purpose of product design that is appropriate to the wishes of consumers can be fulfilled. Comfort and security become something the parameters must be met. Suitability of the size of furniture with users should be noticed for comfort in use can be fulfilled. Application method of Quality Function Deployment recommends that the development of stair seat products should be aware of the variable needs of consumers who have high weight, namely using strong raw materials, using raw materials that are durable, Using a maximum construction of 2 types, the system of fix assembly. Keywords: design; ladder chair; multi function; quality function deployment ABSTRAKKeterbatasan ruang  dalam melaksanakan aktivitas menuntut tersedianya furnitur yang memiliki multifungsi. Tujuan penelitian ini merancang Kursi Tangga yang memiliki multi fungsi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Quality Function Deployment. Metode Quality Function Deployment digunakan untuk mendapatkan variabel produk yang diinginkan oleh sebagian besar calon pemakai sehingga diharapkan hasil perancangan dapat memenuhi keinginan konsumen. Variabel produk yang ada merupakan penjabaran dari aspek utama dalam merancang sebuah produk yaitu fungsi, bentuk, konstruksi dan bahan. Aspek utama dalam perancangan ini harus diperhatikan agar menghasilkan rancangan produk yang memenuhi kriteria dalam teknik mendesain furniture yang benar. Pemahaman akan pentingnya ergonomi dan antropometri sangat diperlukan agar tujuan utama perancangan produk yang sesuai dengan keinginan konsumen dapat terpenuhi. Kenyamanan dan keamanan menjadi sesuatu parameter yang harus dipenuhi. Kesesuaian ukuran furniture dengan pengguna harus diperhatikan agar kenyamanan dalam pemakaian dapat terpenuhi. Aplikasi metode Quality Function Deployment merekomendasikan bahwa pengembangan produk Kursi Tangga harus memperhatikan variabel kebutuhan konsumen yang memiliki bobot tinggi yaitu menggunakan bahan baku yang kuat, menggunakan bahan baku yang awet, menggunakan konstruksi maksimal 2 jenis, sistem perakitan mati.

<div class="page" title="Page 1"><div class="layoutArea"><div class="column"><p><span>AdiTeknik </span><span>is one of the garages in Sidoarjo, East Java, Indonesia, engaged in repairing services industry tools. This garage recently has problems in attracting customers. Prior studies suggest that one of the things that affect the number of customers is customer satisfaction. After listening to complaints from several consumers, consumers said that they are less satisfied with the quality of the garage. This phenomenon become the trigger for us to investigate the customer satisfaction especially on the </span><span>AdiTeknik </span><span>garage. One method that can be used to help companies to improve the quality according to customer point of view is Quality Function Deployment (QFD). We find that there are twelve attributes of the desires and needs of consumers to improve the quality of garage service of </span><span>AdiTeknik. </span><span>Those are the quality of repair, cleanliness and neatness of the garage, complete facilities for customer, employee performance, repair results in accordance with demand, timeliness of completion, the ability to analyze problems, clarity fees and the completion time, warranty repair results, employee friendliness, ease of contacting a workshop, and a willingness to give feedback. </span></p></div></div></div>

The selection of a design for the given product is a critical problem in product design development. Focuses of the designers and customers on the design are not identical. In order to bridge the gap and provide a more relaxing way to select the design, a new method based on quality function deployment (QFD) is proposed. In such a method, customers are required to give their linguistic preferences on the design with respect to the customer requirements (CRs). In the rating of the weight of CRs, they are allowed to provide incomplete linguistic weight information and the objective optimization model is proposed to derive the exact linguistic weight information. Designers are required to rate the correlation between design requirements (DRs) and the relationship between the CRs and DRs to construct the house of quality. Opinions given by the customers are translated into the opinions with respect to the DRs based on the QFD. Afterwards, the priorities of the designs and design requirements are determined. The assessment results not only show the contribution of each design requirement to the customer satisfaction but also show the advantages and disadvantages of each design from the designers’ perspective clearly and directly. An example is provided to validate the applicability of the proposed method.
