Background - The corona virus (Covid-19) has rocked the world, WHO even declared this a pandemic, so that various policies have also been carried out by the Indonesian government to reduce the spread of the virus. However, the business world is the most affected, especially SMEs as the tip of the economy in Indonesia. Therefore, SMEs need to create a business strategy that can continue to maintain their business in the midst of a pandemic situation that is still ongoing today. Purpose - to identify internal and external conditions and formulate business strategies to improve competitiveness in the small business of the Azky Collection hijab in Melirang Wetan Village, Bungah District, Gresik Regency during the Covid-19 pandemic which is still ongoing until October 2020. Design / Methodology / Approach - This study uses a case study approach with an explanative qualitative research method. Data analysis using Expert Choice V11 software. Results and Discussion - The results showed that the analysis of the internali and externali environmenti at the Azky Collection was above average (stabel). The right strategy formulation used by Azky Collection in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic through matrix analysis of IFE, EFE, SWOT, IE, CPM, Grand Strategy and QSPM which can increase its competitiveness is product development. Conclusion - The right strategy formulation used by Azky Collection in facing the challenges of environmental change due to the Covid-19 pandemic is product development. Research implications - This study provides a contribution to the application of strategic management related to the determination (formulation) of strategy in SMEs which are the driving force of the largest economic sector. Research limitations - The study was conducted by conducting interviews and questionnaires given via telephone and WhatsApp because they were still in a pandemic situation.

Indo Aircraft Maintenance (IAM) is a company in Indonesia occupied in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) which has the majority of the market share in the domestic area. Previously, in March 2020 large-scale social restrictions (LSSR) has been implemented globally that limits activities affecting the number of airline passengers. In order to recover, a formulation of a new business strategy is required. This research uses a qualitative method by doing a semi-structured interview with the Senior Manager of the Strategy Management division. The Author conducts an environmental analysis with Porter’s 5 forces, PESTEL, and VRIO tools, while the strategy formulation was carried out using IFE, EFE, and Internal-External Matrix. The analysis represents, the company is suitable to carry out hold and maintain strategy where market penetration and product development are the alternative strategies. Market penetration is the right choice to create optimum results. The whole business-unit should not only focus on aircraft maintenance but another market segment also. Product development is not the main option that needs to be prioritized since it requires new technology capabilities to a tapped new customer.

This study aims to determine the internal and external conditions faced by the Samo Samo Recycle House, as a basis for determining the appropriate alternative strategies for recycling waste business. Strategy formulation is carried out after the identification and determination of internal and external strategic factors. Internal strategic factors are then included in the IFAS (Internal Factors Analysis Summary) matrix, while external strategic factors are included in the EFAS (External Factors Analysis Summary) matrix, and the combination of the two matrices produces a Cartesisus Diagram to determine which company is in the diagram position. From the results of the calculation above, it is known that the coordinate point is located at (y = -0,12; x = 0,39). The coordinate results are presented in the SWOT matrix diagram. After knowing the meeting point of the diagonals (X), the position of the business unit is known in Quadrant II. This position shows the Samo Samo Recycling House, then in business strategies, including: Creating new designs to attract prospective buyers, Strengthening the competitiveness of commodities through improving the quality of results and business efficiency. <p class="Abstrak">Perkembangan rumah sakit di Indonesia semakin meningkat, sejak tahun 2012 sampai 2018 mengalami peningkatan dengan rata – rata 5.2%. Tentunya hal tersebut memiliki dampak terhadap daya saing yang lebih kompetitif. Kebijakan pemerintah Indonesia  yang mengharuskan rumah sakit bekerja sama dengan Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN) guna pemerataan  pelayanan kesehatan mempengaruhi jumlah pendapatan. Faktanya asuransi BPJS Kesehatan mengalami defisit anggaran yang nilainya sangat besar. <em>Manajement</em> rumah sakit harus mencari strategi dan kebijakan yang tepat dalam upaya memaksimalkan pendapatan khususnya di era JKN. Pembatasan jumlah kunjungan tidak mungkin dilakukan mengingat sebagian besar pasien berasal dari peserta BPJS Kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan kebijakan dan solusi yang tepat bagi rumah sakit untuk mendapatkan keuntungan finasial dalam kondisi defisitnya anggaran asuransi kesehatan. Penting informasi membuat manajemen rumah sakit berupaya untuk memanfaatkan teknologi informasi sebagai media untuk merancang strategi bisnisnya, simulasi komputer seperti pemodelan sistem dinamik mempu menggambarkan dan mensimulasikan sistem secara nyata yang mengacu pada data,  sehingga pemangku kepentingan dapat memprediksi kondisi yang bisa terjadi dimasa depan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwasanya dengan merubah sistem pembayaran dari <em>Fee For Services</em> menjadi <em>INA</em> - <em>Case Base Groups</em> dapat memberikan keuntungan lebih bagi rumah sakit, hal ini dikarenakan tarif yang ditetapkan menyesuaikan dengan tarif rumah sakit di seluruh Indonesia. Temuan lain yang perlu diperhatikan adalah piutang pihak asuransi mengalami peningkatan, tentunya hal tersebut perlu perhatian lebih, serta bisa dijadikan bahan pertimbangan untuk mengubah sistem pembayaran karena sesuai hasil simulasi dapat memaksimalkan jumlah pendapatan . Lokasi penelitian di unit rawat inap, rumah sakit islam surabaya, diharapkan dari hasil pemodelan simulasi bisa dijadikan sebagai gambaran atau acuan bagi manajemen puncak rumah sakit dalam mengambil sebuah keputusan sebagai strategi bisnis.</p><p class="Abstrak"> </p><p class="Abstrak"><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong></p><p class="Abstrak"></p><p class="Abstract"><em>Hospital development in Indonesia has increased, from 2012 to 2018 has increased by an average of 5.2%.. Of course this has an impact on more competitive competitiveness. Indonesian government policy that requires hospitals to work closely with the National Health Insurance (JKN) in order to equalize health services affects the amount of revenue. The fact is that BPJS Health insurance has a very large budget deficit. Hospital management must find the right strategy and policy in an effort to maximize revenue, especially in the JKN era. Limiting the number of visits is not possible considering that most patients come from BPJS Health participants. The purpose of this study was to find the right policies and solutions for hospital to obtain financial benefits in the health insurance budget deficit. Important information makes hospital management strive to utilize information technology as media for designing business strategies, computer simulations such as dynamic system modeling can describe and simulate real systems that refer to data, so that stakeholders can predict conditions that can occur in the future. The results showed that by changing the payment system from Fee For Services to INA - Case Base Groups can provide more benefits for hospital, this is because the rates set adjust to hospital rates throughout Indonesia. Another finding that needs to be considered is that the insurance receivables have increased, of course it needs more attention, and can be taken into consideration to change the payment system because according to the simulation results can maximize the amount of income. The location of research in the inpatient unit, Surabaya Islamic hospital, is expected from the results of simulation modeling can be used as an illustration or reference for top management of the hospital in making a decision as a business strategy.</em></p>

The purpose of this study is to identify internal and external factors that affect the company, which is engaged in the fashion retail industry, in the fashion retail industry, and to find out the right and effective business strategies to improve the company's sales performance in the face of intense competition in fashion retail industry in Indonesia. Data collection techniques performed by the author are primary data (interviews and observations) and secondary data (sales data, inventory data, case studies and literature). The stages of analysis conducted by the author are divided into three stages, namely the input stage, followed by the matching stage, and the final stage is the decision analysis stage. The results of this study are about three strategies that can be used by companies, Product Development with a score of 6.46, Market Development with a score of 5.93 and Related Diversification holding the highest score of 6.64. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal apa saja yang mempengaruhi perusahaan, yang bergerak di bidang retail fashion, dalam industri retail fashion, serta untuk mengetahui strategi bisnis yang tepat dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kinerja penjualan perusahaan dalam menghadapi persaingan yang ketat dalam industri retail fashion di Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan oleh penulis adalah data primer (wawancara dan observasi) dan data sekunder (data penjualan, data stok barang, studi kasus dan kepustakaan). Tahapan analisa yang dilakukan oleh penulis terbagi menjadi tiga yaitu tahap masukan (Input Stage), dilanjutkan dengan tahap pencocokan (Matching Stage), dan tahap terakhir adalah tahap analisa keputusan (Decision Stage). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah ada tiga strategi yang dapat digunakan oleh perusahaan yaitu Produk (Product Development) dengan skor 6.46, Pengembangan Pasar (Market Development) dengan skor 5.93 dan Diversifikasi Terkait (Related Diversification) memegang skor yang paling tinggi yaitu 6.64.

This study aims to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the Swot analysis, to analyze the positioning with the Swot analysis, as well as to analyze alternative business strategies used by PT. Bank Negara Indonesia. Main Branch Office of Parepare in improving the quality of productive credit distribution. To implement these objectives, data collection techniques are used through observation, questionnaires, and documentation, using descriptive analysis methods, SWOT analysis, IFE, and EFE matrices, External Strategy Factor Analysis (EFAS), Internal Strategy Factor Analysis (IFAS), Grand Strategy Matrix, Tows or SWOT Matrix, Space Matrix, Analysis (QSPM). The results found that the position of PT. BNI (Persero), Tbk. Prepare's Main Branch Office is a position for aggressive growth. Where the growth strategy shows that strengths and opportunities are greater when compared to weaknesses and threats so that the appropriate strategy is used in the growth strategy. BNI strategies are suitable for use by PT. BNI (Persero), Tbk. Prepare's Main Branch Office in improving the quality of productive lending is a market penetration strategy

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to discuss the concept of ecological sustainability is attracting attention of global business community as neoclassical approach continues to fail in delivery. There is now an emerging need to explore new approaches towards balancing ecological and economic returns. The paper extends the philosophy of Permaculture into business domain and explores its compatibility to be integrated with strategic management perspectives. Design/methodology/approach – The study primarily conducts a review of Permaculture and Strategic Management domains and uncovers the compatibility between the two domains while arguing that the integration of Permaculture philosophy in business strategy would achieve sustainability. Findings – Permaculture philosophy is compatible with Strategic Management process for developing business strategies. It can incorporate ecological and social aspects for developing integrated strategy process for sustainability in organizations. Research limitations/implications – Focusing on financial and non-financial value addition contributed by organizations towards community would lead to long-term sustainability of the organization and the community which supports it. Originality/value – The study extends the emerging philosophy of Permaculture into the established domain of Strategic Management. Arguing that simultaneous equilibrium of capacities, resources and demands of stakeholders must be maintained for sustained economic success in business world.

This research aims to find out how the application business model canvas in creating alternative business strategies for the development of UMKM. The second objective is to know the proper strategic alternatives for the development of UMKM. The methods used in this research is descriptive qualitative approach with the use of informants as respondents research. The source of data used is the business owners as much as 16 UMKM who open businesses in the downtown area of Pasir Pengaraian. Data collection techniques directly using interview techniques, observation and documentation. This research uses a template business model canvas to map strategy for the effort and combined with the SWOT analysis. Based on Data Obtained from the results of research, that the description of the business model approach of UMKM using Business Model Canvas outline can be used as Recommendations for business strategy, the business model of the which is currently already underway is Able to meet the Nine elements of the blocks on the template business model canvas. The findings of this research are that not all the UMKM business strategy and have just run a business without the vision of enterprise development. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis can be found that new alternative Efforts by optimizing internal strength in revenue streams on each of UMKM and conduct of elections to the right customer segments. Suggestions that may the researcher pointed out every UMKM should be more online to have the vision to grow and continue to innovate against products goods or services, increase of customer segmentation and the make use of business model canvas approach in making the strategy of the business.

Human resource strategy is part of the business strategy implementation process. Certain business strategies require specific competencies and personal characteristics. Human resource strategy is a derivation of changes in business strategy or company strategy.This research is intended to know:1) What is the stated business strategy of the Catholic University of Saint Thomas Medan? ; 2) What is the human resource strategy implemented by the Catholic University of Saint Thomas Medan? ; 3) .Is the human resource strategy implemented in accordance with the business strategy of the Catholic University of Saint Thomas Medan? Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the human resource strategy is in accordance with the business strategy of the Catholic University of Saint Thomas Medan. This can be proven by the following data: a) In 1984-2000, the Corporate strategy was a Growth strategy by conducting Market Development and Product Development. The Business strategy is Defender while the Human resource strategy is Club; b) In 2001-2015, the Corporate strategy is Growth (Product development) and Retrenchment (Turnaround). Its Business strategy is Defender and Reactor, while its Human resource strategy is Club and Fortress; c) In 2016-present, the Corporate strategy is Stability and Growth (Market development & Product development). The Business strategy is Analyzer and the Human resource strategy is Academy.

Suggestions that may the researcher pointed out every UMKM should be more daring to have the vision to grow and continue to innovate against products goods or services, increase customer segmentation and make use of business model canvas approach in making the strategy of the business.
