This study aims to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the Swot analysis, to analyze the positioning with the Swot analysis, as well as to analyze alternative business strategies used by PT. Bank Negara Indonesia. Main Branch Office of Parepare in improving the quality of productive credit distribution. To implement these objectives, data collection techniques are used through observation, questionnaires, and documentation, using descriptive analysis methods, SWOT analysis, IFE, and EFE matrices, External Strategy Factor Analysis (EFAS), Internal Strategy Factor Analysis (IFAS), Grand Strategy Matrix, Tows or SWOT Matrix, Space Matrix, Analysis (QSPM). The results found that the position of PT. BNI (Persero), Tbk. Prepare's Main Branch Office is a position for aggressive growth. Where the growth strategy shows that strengths and opportunities are greater when compared to weaknesses and threats so that the appropriate strategy is used in the growth strategy. BNI strategies are suitable for use by PT. BNI (Persero), Tbk. Prepare's Main Branch Office in improving the quality of productive lending is a market penetration strategy

This research aims to increase ballroom sales at New Kuta Hotel, to find out marketing strategies that should be used by the sales & marketing departments to increase ballroom sales and to find out which strategies are most effective in marketing strategies by sales & marketing department. The analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive analysis, quantitative descriptive analysis, Internal Factor Analysis Summary Matrix (IFAS), External Factor Analysis Summary Matrix (EFAS), Internal–External Matrix (IE), SWOT Analysis and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). Based on the results of IFAS matrix analysis, the main strength is the ballroom sales can help increase hotel revenue, while the main weakness is the incentives imposed by the sales & marketing departments are less appropriate. Based on the EFAS matrix analysis, it was discovered that the main opportunity was the ability of sales & marketing to bring in customers while the main threat faced was the budget considered by the customer. The IE Matrix study results put the company in the Growth Strategic (Cell II) position. SWOT analysis produced eight alternative strategies of marketing strategies from the eight strategies and obtained three marketing strategies that were prioritized and calculated through QSPM Matrix with a total TAS of 181.29.

Objective – This paper examines the business strategy at cut flower area. The need for cut flowers, especially chrysanthemums, is very large. The farmers of cut flowers are concentrated in Java, namely Malang, Bandungan, Yogyakarta and Cianjur in West Java. Methodology/Technique – In this study the object is in Bandungan, Semarang area. With large market conditions, it is possible for cut flower farmers to plant various varieties of chrysanthemum that the market likes. In order to fulfil the market prospect that is still wide open, chrysanthemum cut flower farmers must have business strategies that are able to provide guidance on the business being run. Production activities will develop and have an impact on farmers if supported by organizational policies that not only manage internal activities but are also able to face challenges from a dynamic external environment. Findings & Novelty – The SWOT analysis were used at this research. The strategies that should be created are increasing cooperation, maintaining networks, and expanding marketing. The need for cut flowers especially chrysanthemums flowers in Indonesia is very large. This study aims to identify and examine the internal and external factors of the development of chrysanthemum agribusiness in Bandungan Village and to determine the priority of appropriate agribusiness strategies based on the farmer’s needs. This study is descriptive analysis research with a sample of 45 Chrysanthemum farmers. Using SWOT analysis, we found the strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat for the farmers and we could design alternative business strategies. Internal Strategic Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) is used to identify and evaluate the key internal factors of the company, while External Strategic Factor Analysis (EFAS) is used to organize external strategic factors into generally accepted categories of opportunities and threats. Meanwhile, IE matrix is used to define the business strategy at the company level with greater details. The results suggest that the farmers should strengthen the internal conditions of the farmer groups, improve the production of chrysanthemum flower, and maximize the use of production facilities and equipment, These findings imply that production activities will develop and have a positive impact on farmers if supported by organizational policies that not only manage internal activities but are also able to face challenges of a dynamic external environment. The innovation of marketing strategy that can be done by SMES Culinary in Jember for business development needed an analysis about the business conditions. The formulation of the problems studied in this research is how to innovate marketing strategy with SWOT analysis for MSME culinary that exist in Jember. This method of research is done using a qualitative method of descriptive analysis with SWOT analysis. Results of external Internal MSMES is in the V quadrant marked Asterix (2.45; 2.6) which means having a stability/growth strategy to develop in the future, the strategy that can be applied to SMES, namely the strategy of maintaining and Maintaining, market penetration and product development. Result of the SWOT of the SMES culinary Jember has a strategy of S-O strategy that can be done in a SME that is to maintain product quality, set a cheap price as well as utilize local potentials. Based on the results of the innovations marketing strategy SMES culinary Jember namely developing the quality of existing products and adding product variants, set a cheap price to attract consumers as well as utilize local potential for example tourism and  Culture.

The purpose of this research is to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of marketing communication in building brand image, to find out the marketing communication strategy that should be used by marketing communication departments in building brand image. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive analysis, quantitative descriptive analysis, Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) Matrix, External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS) Matrix, Internal-External Matrix (IE), and SWOT Analysis. The results showed that there were internal and external factors that influence marketing communication conducted by the marketing communication department at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. Based on the results of IFAS matrix analysis, the main strengths are good relations with all partners, the media, influencers, guests and also the community, while the main weaknesses are responding to complaints and providing solutions to trip advisor reviews, OTA reviews and also social media. Based on the results of the EFAS matrix analysis, it is known that the main opportunity is technological development while the minor threats faced are The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali position in the competition and natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods, etc. The results of the IE matrix research showed the company position in the Growth (Cell V). SWOT analysis produces 6 alternative marketing communication strategies that can be used in building brand image.

Many salt farmers who are not eager to produce salt even many farmers are switching professions. This is due to the low price of local salt and the quality is even lower the quality of imported salt is even better so that it can reduce the bargaining power of local salt and consequently the salt farmers lose. This study aims to analyze the economic activities of salt farmers in Pamekasan Regency in order to evaluate the optimization of salt farmers' activities through internal and external factors, so that a development strategy can be designed to optimize the activity of salt farmers in order to support the welfare of salt farmers in Pamekasan. Using qualitative descriptive analysis, IFE and EFE matrix analysis and qualitative SWOT analysis. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the level of optimization of the internal and external environmental analysis of economic activity and welfare of salt farmers in Pamekasan district is in quadrant I, which is aggressive, of course, all forms of activities will be optimal and welfare is achieved. The strategies that can be used as policies to increase the optimization of salt farmer activities in Pamekasan Regency are as follows 1) Expanding Salt market share, 2) Increasing productivity, the amount of quality salt production and the interest of Salt Farmers 3) Creating farmer groups 4). Increasing Competitiveness Potential 5). Cooperation with all parties.

Sumenep is one of the salt producers in Indonesia. The problem experienced by farmers is the production of salt using evaporation by solar energy that depends on the weather and the low price, caused by worse business management. Salt is a potential commodity, because its market is still wide open. This research aims to develop the salt production method and development strategy of salt business in Sumenep Regency by using SWOT analysis. The result of the analysis concludes that the priority of salt development business strategy in Sumenep Regency are: i) Geoisolator technology application strategy to produce good quality of salt; ii) cooperation strategy in group mechanism to build power and increasing the bargaining value of the farmers; iii) capital strengthening strategy through partner cooperatives; iv) broader marketing management management strategies to industrial salt user sectors.

Purpose International Business Strategies (IBS) literature deliberated on the strategic planning and strategy implementation of home country firms in foreign markets. IBS had become a very potent growth strategy for firms. IBS as a body of knowledge had become substantial in the last few decades of research. To this end, and as a complex field of study, this paper aims to conceptually map this IBS literature. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to present a visual mapping of intellectual structure in two dimensions and to identify the subfields of IBS through co-citation analysis. Design/methodology/approach All the citation documents were included in the Web of Knowledge (WoK) database between the years 1993 and 2018. For the multivariate analysis, this study applied a sequence of statistical analyses including factor analysis, multidimensional scaling and cluster analysis. Through these techniques, this research study tried to summarize the condition and status of IBS research by classifying the IBS literature into four categories. Findings IBS literature has been classified into four categories, namely, evolutionary aspects of IBS; firm strategic objectives and IBS; institutional theory and IBS in emerging economies; and foreign market entry strategies for internationalization. Research limitations/implications Based upon the basis of the analysis of extant research in IBS, the current and future extension research topics have been presented. This would help future researchers to understand the white spots for undertaking research in future. Originality/value This was one of the very first studies that mapped the International Business Strategy literature and categorized IBS literature.

Longgar Outfit is a local fashion brand from Bandung that focuses on plus size women. Longgar Outfit has the vision to become the leading plus size fashion brand in Bandung. Unfortunately, since the appearance of Longgar Outfit on the market in early January 2019, Longgar Outfit has faced problems in penetrating the market. The problem currently being faced by Longgar Outfit is unstable sales. The purpose of the research is to find out a suitable business strategy in order to stable Longgar Outfit sales. This research is conducted to summarize the business strategy for Longgar Outfit using internal and external business environment analysis, customer analysis, and SWOT analysis to determine the root cause. Use a qualitative approach as a research method for understanding a social phenomenon. This approach will find the current business situation, planning business strategies, and proposed new business strategies. Data collection techniques using observation and in-depth interviews as primary data, while secondary data with literature studies using books and journals related to principles of marketing, strategic marketing, and other topics. This research has limitations to the object being observed as many as two competitors who have a similar business model and interviewed 15 potential customers to explore their needs and desires regarding plus size clothing. The results of this research get findings on alternative business solutions for Longgar Outfit. The proposed business strategy for Longgar Outfit consists of a new STP strategy, create value proposition canvas, create a point of difference and point of parity, develop new marketing (4Ps) strategy, and organizational structure plan.

The Indonesian SME cluster has not fully implemented the cluster concept, causing the SME cluster to stagnate. The Meubel SME Cluster of Pasuruan City and Malang City are two prime clusters working to show their economic crisis performance several times. This study aims to examine the factors of inter-firm linkage and business strategy on business performance. Methodologically, this study uses several analytical methods, namely multiple linear regression, to measure the influence between inter-firm linkage and business strategy variables on business performance, SWOT matrix to map strategy, and descriptive analysis to present non-parametric findings. This study analyzed 60 samples of MSEs from a population of 350 business units. The results of the study mentioned that aspects of business strategy (finance, marketing, human resources, research, development, and operations) had a more significant effect on business performance (sales, profits, assets, labor, and productivity) than inter-firm linkage (backward, forward, and horizontal). Through SWOT matrix analysis, the inter-clustering linkage of Malang City and Pasuruan cluster SMEs is naturally created. Access to raw materials and labor in the city of Malang began to be complicated even though consumers’ potential from large tourists and access to adequate technology. In contrast, Pasuruan City is lt to do marketing because of geographical conditions’ weakness even though the raw material resources and labor are abundant. Level of banking competition is increasingly high demands on banks to focus more on the desired target market. PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Universities Branch Office Bandung (BNI PTB) is one branch in the city of Bandung which has a core business in Corporate Banking particular educational institution. To better focus on its managed, BNI PTB forming units specialized to manage the educational institutions managed. The existence of this unit is not specifically regulated as other units in BNI organization structure, because this unit is the only unit that is in BNI. Based on the above conditions, to maximize the existence of this special unit investigators interested in conducting research on this unit at BNI PTB and analyze strategic variables in the environment both external strategic environment and internal strategic environment. A number of respondents involved in this study consisted of the employees and management of branch offices and regional office management and after the selection of respondents, 20 respondents was selected to be part of the study, starting from the interviews, questionnaires phase 1 and phase 2 questionnaire. Identification results through the interview concluded several variables that affect the operation and performance of this particular unit. External variables, namely the growth of business education market in the city of Bandung, the factors of competition between banks and the development of technology to support quality of service to the Institute of Education, while internal factors consist of variables of Human Resources (HR), Information Systems Technology and Operations in the special unit itself. After analysis of the strategic variables by using a SWOT Analysis, SFAS Matrix and IE Matrix concluded that indicators of variable performance that is very supportive of this special unit and in line with the existence of this special unit in the IE matrix in cell 2 (growth strategy) with the concentration of horizontal integration through market expansion and internal development of technology in special units in order to facilitate the work. It can be concluded that the formulation of the availability of Information Technology has been defines the constraints faced by the special operations unit that could be addressed to improve the BNI Business PTB Branch Office and can also overcome the problems of existing human resources that have a positive impact on the performance of BNI Branch PTB as well as expected can accelerate and enhance the quality of better service to educational institutions.
