Micro-EDM (Electro Discharge Machining) is widely used for precision manufacturing and drilling micro-holes in materials used in fuel nozzles, micro sensors and robots, surgical instruments, turbines etc. Present paper deals with drilling common C360 brass components by micro-machining and optimizing the process parameter using a hybrid approach of design of experiments (DoE) and grey relation analysis (GRA) concept. The three process responses considered are material removal rate (MRR), tool wear rate (TWR) and taper in drilled hole while the four selected controllable process parameters are capacitance(C), voltage(V), feed rate(f) and rotational speed of electrode (N). Significance of input factors on each response is analyzed with the help of a 24 full factorial by conducting 16 experiments at two levels for factors. Optimum levels of robustness for each process response are established through Taguchi’s S/N ratio. A combined grey relation grade is applied to find the process levels conducive for optimizing MRR and TWR simultaneously.

<p>PT X Indonesia is Facility services company. The scope one of service from this company is managing parking area. Consumers of these companies come from various circles, such as Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. The management intended to give comfort to motorcycle users. But it is undeniable that the users often feel the deficiency in service provided by the company. Therefore, there needs to analyze important analyze the attributes that have not met expectations of the user. The results of the analysis will be used to provide a solution for PT X Indonesia. in this paper, will use the grey relation analysis method. Grey relation analysis is a weighting method to determine the performance attributes. This method uses a questionnaire to obtain answers from the user. Based on the method selected five attributes that represent the security in the parking area, comfort a canopy (roof guards), and the services at the counter. This paper uses three approach analysis, such as cause analysis, system simulation, and value stream mapping service. The results of this research is an increase in the number of officers watching, installation, CCTV images, the use of a new payment system that is tapping card, use canopy to pedestrian path on the area in the parking lot and an increase in the number of the counter.</p><p>Keywords: PT. The increasing trends towards miniaturized and lightweight components for various engineering and aerospace applications by unconventional machining the demand for micro-electrical discharge machining (EDM) have become increasingly wide. Micro-EDM is one of the most promising unconventional machining processes as compared to other unconventional machining due to its lower cost, ease of operation, and accuracy. This research explores the experimental investigation of micro-EDM operation on hard and difficult to machine material Inconel 718. The micro-holes were fabricated on an Inconel 718 workpiece with a copper electrode. The influence of input process parameters on material removal rate (MRR), machining time, and quality of the fabricated micro-holes were studied. Overcut and taperness of the fabricated micro-sized through holes were measured to address the accuracy of the fabricated micro-holes in micro-EDM operation. Experimental results reveal that the increase in current and voltage increases the MRR, and reduced machining time but at the cost of dimensional accuracy of the fabricated holes. The high value of current and voltage resulted in poor surface quality. The optimum machining condition that gives higher MRR with higher machining precision was obtained by experimenting while machining Inconel 718.
